Ari strongly objects to Jill revealing the secrets of the Merit Kara to a reporter. At the police academy Sgt. Speed nitpicks Siobhan's grammar. Joe talks to Father Emmerich
- Jill tells Ari about Joe. Jonas Rovings wants to catalog Spencer's collection but Jill and Ari want to find the shrine first. EJ gives storyline advice to Barbara and the Soap's Producer. Seneca tries to delay Barbara's lawsuit. Ari interrupts Faith while she catches up with Sgt Speed.
- On the set of Barbara's Soap Seneca looks on as the cast is called to the set. Ej avoids Seneca by going to a phone booth. Joe looks at Siobhan's photo and has a flashback which Delia interrupts. Delia is unhappy wit a new female employee and is sorry for Joe. Jack and Siobhan meet with Little John and Ryan to make a Christmas gift list. EJ has Seneca paged away from the set. Jack goes to Joe and tells him to forget Siobhan. EJ places Barbara's copy of the script on a high shelf but Barbara uses a mechanical device to grab it. Their cat and mouse game will continue. The end credits appear over a shot of the boom mike.
- In the midst of St. Patrick's day celebration at Ryan's bar Delia steals money from Jillian's purse.
- Frank and Nick Szabo meet to discuss the situation with the $6500. Nell reassures Ed that she no longer wants to be married to Seneca. Frank has to cover when Mary wonders why he's talking with Nick. Seneca talks with Marshall and fishes for more details of Ed and Nell's growing relationship. Mary questions the Riverside staff about the missing money. Former New York Mets pitcher Nolan Ryan is brought into Riverside with an injury.
- Mary prevents Jack from seeing Nolan Ryan in the hospital while Pat spirits him away for an x-ray. Frank and Jill discuss the current state of their affair and the problem with Delia. Delia returns to see Frank, who informs her that he'll continue to keep her secret if she agrees to conceal his affair with Jill.
- After being discharged from Riverside, Nolan Ryan drops by Ryan's to thank Mary and incurs Jack's jealousy when he kisses her. Johnny tells Maeve his fears that Mary's too trusting of Jack. Delia confesses her sins to Father McShane and vows to try and do the right thing henceforth. Later, she shares with Maeve her desire to start over as a wife and mother.
- Pat and his buddy Bucky try to get to know fellow doctor Faith better. Pat tells an old Irish tale. Mary and Jack discuss politics. Maeve comforts a distraught Delia who has wandered into the bar.
- Johnny and Maeve accept $40,000 to rebuild the bar after the fire. Maeve sings "Danny Boy" to the assembled crowd of family and friends.
- Dr. Woodard fears that Maggie may be dead. In the woods, Jason hears the sound of dogs howling.
- 1795 time period. Josette is drawn to secretly meet with Barnabas, who tries to resist baring his fangs to bite her.
- The caretaker Matthew Morgan accuses Vicki of snooping. Vicki wonders if her unexpected job offer at Collinwood has any connection to her past at the orphanage.
