- Alone yet Not Alone is based on the inspirational, true story of Barbara and Regina Leininger, two immigrant sisters forced to embark on a journey of faith that will lead them through the darkness of war into the light of freedom.
- A troubled man venturing into the wilderness to find himself stumbles across a place that offers him a chance to go back and fix the mistakes of his past, asking the age old question: "if you could go back and change something in your life, would you?"
- In Western North Carolina lives a widow named Mary who has become embittered over how her life has turned out. She dresses in old clothes, doesn't bathe, and becomes shunned by the small mountain community where she lives. When she was young, a man seduced her and got her pregnant. He refused to marry her; instead years later he became a respected preacher and family man with two children. Ironically, his children and others harass Mary and give her the name "Crazy Mary." She ekes out a living in an old log house and tries to ignore others. One Christmas the preacher's wife decides to do "the Christian" thing and invite Mary for dinner. The climax of the film centers around this dinner and the events that follow it.
