- Ken is hired by the secretary of Sandford Meats to find out who is stealing dictaphone tapes from her desk, and uncovers scheme by Mr Sandford and his son-in-law to import pornography. Meanwhile, Harry has a spot of bother with his latest acquisition - a talking parrot.
- Ben Fowkes, a young army demolition export, has deserted, and his father hires Ken to try and find him; Ben is now involved in an illegal boxing match in order to raise money to buy himself out, and Ken tries to stop the fight. Harry and Rocky, meanwhile are busy looking after Tinkerbell - a Champion greyhound.
- Convinced criminal Stan Keating is released from prison to find his accomplice and girlfriend is married, his daughter is unaware of his existence and half of his loot is missing. Stan has a large axe to grind as Ken and Harry soon discover.
- Ken finds himself being interrogated about a crime he did not commit, thanks to a jilted lover and a lying husband. Harry is approached by an elderly man who wants to rent space in the warehouse - a request that is not quite as innocent as it sounds.
- Harry has bought The Plaza Suite ballroom and has organises a charity ball with a dodgy character Richard Jay who runs off with all the money, leaving Harry to face an investigative journalist's cameras; he is forced into promising to replace the entire sum. The Texas Rangers meanwhile, are thought responsible for some industrial espionage- which threatens to close them down. Rocky helps uncover the real leak, and Ken re-establishes relations with Margaret.
- Ken and Margaret finally track down the runaway Jay, but not before he's spent all the money. During the course of an unusual blackmail case, Margaret discovers that her new boyfriend is a liar. In the end, Ken does so well at both cases that she asks him to be her partner.
- Suspecting her son, John may be involved in drugs, the widow of an old friend employs Ken's services. He finds that John has indeed fallen into bad company, and it seems inevitable that he will be forced to break a promise not to involve the police.
- Wedding bells are ringing - but the nearest Ken and Harry get to the festivities is installing security cameras for the big day. They observe both family members and guests behaving suspiciously, and soon find themselves witness to nefarious activities.
- Protecting Christine Pryall from a nuisance husband seems a simple case, and one that will pull CBS back from the brink of bankruptcy. But then Ken starts to get funny phone-calls in the middle of the night, records are stolen in a break-in, and Christine's home is ransacked, and Ken and Harry realise just how dangerous this job could be.
- Ken is hired as a bodyguard by Bob Messener, a club owner on the run from brothers of his ex-partner Sammy Robinson who is in prison - or so Bob thinks. Harry, meanwhile, has a nasty environmental problem apparently caused by his farmer neighbour.
- An Argentinian polo team are practicing at Woodcote Park. While Helen makes eyes at the captain, Ken keeps his on Merrily Curtis, an English girl involved in a insurance scam over a brood mare. Back at the office Rocky agrees to collect a valuable painting for a client; he is about to become a pawn in a war between a husband and wife.
- Ken is on the two brothers who have each been left a half-share in their father's classic car - literally. At the same time, he assigns Rocky to trail an attractive young university student who seems to be suddenly in possession of a great deal of money. After suspecting her of selling her body for drugs, he discovers a more mundane source of income.
- Ken and Harry's knees start trembling when they are tasked with guarding valuable antique fittings in the eerie Monkton Manor, an empty gothic mansion undergoing restoration. Four building firms have already fled screaming; are Ken and Harry made of sterner stuff?
- Barbara Lake hires Ken to find out why she is receiving letters signed by her husband, who died in a plane crash six months ago. The letters leads her to a large amount of hidden money, but someone is watching her every move. Meanwhile Helen's cycling nephew Ian is being blackmailed by a doctor of a rival cycling team.
- Crawford Boon Security is thrown into chaos when Laura moves north to take up a new junior management post; one-fingered typing and misplaced files are the order of the day while they try to replace her. Business continues, with a case of industrial espionage.
- Harry and larger-than-life businessman Malcolm Ashforth begin drinking during a fishing competition. Malcolm's business is in trouble, and Harry, Ken and Rocky soon find themselves embroiled in a case involving the suspected kidnap of a young child.
- Rocky and Alex are planning a surprise birthday party for Ken, and ask Harry to get him out of the way for a couple of days. Ken reluctantly agrees to leave his cottage after claims a criminal convicted by a jury of which he was foreman is harassing him. What Harry doesn't know is he really is in danger.
- Ken is engaged by Marion Kershaw to search for her missing husband, a businessman involved in the import/export trade. Ken and Harry find themselves handling stolen goods when they try to assist the police in a case involving the international theft of antiques.
- Ken is hired by a American evangelical preacher to find out who is sabotaging his show in Birmingham and ruining his chances of winning a cable TV contract. Ken discovers that the culprits are the brothers of a rival preacher on the cable TV shortlist, but his sympathy for his client is short-lived when a friend of Harry's is left suffering from the effects of his faith-healing.
- Margaret is hired to find a runaway rock star, and finally gets him back with Rocky's help. Ken, meanwhile is following a man who is supposedly cheating on his ex-wife's alimony payments. Getting to know and like the man, he finds that he is indeed cheating - but that his wife is also secretly living with a rich man. Ken is faced with a dilemma: does he betrays the ex-husband, or lie to his client?
- Harry falls for a woman he meets while looking after a country fair. Unfortunately, his mouth gets the better of him and he gives her the impression he's a red-hot detective, then finds himself severely tested when asked to investigate the theft of a priceless piece of porcelain.
- Helen gives shelter to a battered wife and her two sons. The woman's doctor husband almost convinces Ken that his wife is having a nervous breakdown, but hie true character is revealed when he attempts to abduct the boys. Harry, meanwhile, is investigating thefts from patients rooms in a nursing home.
- Ken's back in business with a new boat, new offices and a new name for the company because Harry and Ken are now in partnership, running Crawford Boon Security (CBS); Ken runs the investigations and Harry acts as a security consultant. Sadly the clients do not change.
- Ken has acquired a new two-way radio set and a client list from the previous owner, but it's soon apparent that the radio still belongs to a rival firm. Worse is to come, as he meets trouble head-on in the form of a gang of Hell's Angels. Harry, meanwhile, has trouble finding a celebrity to open his new hotel. Rocky Cassidy joins the Texas Rangers.
- Ken has spent the night with Rebecca, while burglars have vandalised his office. Harry is looking at buying a club, but is warned off by his accountant, who tells him that his finances are in a bad way. Both men seem to be facing an uncertain future.
- Marty King, a local comedian staying at Woodcote Park, has a gambling habit that has left him heavily in debt to two young men, Rupert Cole and Tony Lawrence. Meanwhile, Ken is engaged by club owner Dick Vaughan to find out why his licence has not been renewed - and uncovers a connection to Cole and Lawrence.
- Market trader Sarah Blake needs help to see off the thugs who are terrorising her and her fellow stall holders. It arrives in the shape of Ken and Rocky, whose involvement is intensified by the fact that Sarah is the widow of an old fire-brigade colleague.
- Ken is in for a few surprises when he investigates a woman whose husband suspects her of adultery, while a chirpy Liverpudian teenager asks him to trace the father she's never known. Harry, meanwhile decides to organise a Christmas party then worries that nobody will turn up.
- Ken and Harry pose as conference organisers in a bid to prove the innocence of a former head of security at a top hotel. Rocky and Alex, meanwhile, carry out an elaborate burglary - although no one is prepared for a surprising turn of events which threatens to jeopardise all at Crawford Boon Security.
- Ken becomes a minder for a spy who has just been released from prison - a newspaper has an exclusive story contract and wants to protect it's investment. It's not easy, however rival newshounds are soon on the scent, and even the secret services are trailing behind.
- Ken is hired by an environmental group to investigate water pollution, and finds that pollution is not only the dirty business going on. Meanwhile, Harry's plan to start a security business suffers a setback when his bank manager refuses him a loan.
- A Tyrolean night at Woodcote Park is used as a clever ruse for a gang of criminals to gain access to a house where they believe some plans are hidden; and Helen loses a 'daughter' but gains a surrogate son when she takes Rocky under her wing following the sale of Texas Rangers.
- In Nottingham, Ken Boon first assignment is to act as bodyguard for outspoken local DJ Eddie Cotton. Harry has gone into partnership with Helen Yeldham,owner of the Woodcote Park Country Club. Unfortunately Eddie gets himself into a compromising situation, and a rare toad threatens to scupper Harry's redevelopment plans.
- Rocky has fallen for a young cashier at the High Street Bank. His love reciprocated when he swaps his leathers for a suit and his bike for a car, and even buys some hair gel - but turns sour when he finds himself high on the list of suspects in a jewellery theft, and Alex organises a walkout of staff in protest.
- Ken's beautiful Girl Friday Alex is in danger of letting her heart rule her head. Her boyfriend has just come out of prison, but she is worried he may be getting involved in crime again at a hostel for rehabilitation. Ken and Rocky go undercover to find out.
- Ken takes a job minding a tough Glaswegian footballer who finds it hard to keep his eyes on the ball; Harry is kept busy by a contract to guard some puppies, and a request to organise the pub's football team for this match with a team from a nearby prison with Rocky keeping goal.
- Ronald "Budgie" Bird has just been released from prison, and has been given the job of looking Charity, one of Charlie Endell's strippers While looking after Charity, Budgie and his Irish mate Grogan accidentally steal a van load of pornographic magazines from the police and then try to destroy the evidence by burning them on a cricket field.
- Bulman goes undercover to investigate the disappearance of both butler and housekeeper on the country estate of Lord Kilmartin. While he takes on the identity of the butler, Lucy discovers that there is no registration of death for the couple; Bulman takes to the skies in order to get to the bottom of the mystery.
- To escape o contact placed on his life by old adversary Joe Revel, Bulman has spent 18 months in China with Lucy. On their return to England, Revel makes several attempts on Bulman's life before he is forced to acknowledge that his target is no dummy. But can the same be said of Lucy.
- Bulman is hired by newspaper proprietor Lord Fairfax to investigate the death of ace crime reporter Desmond Geraldine, killed as he greeted racing correspondent Archie Ferris. The motive remains elusive- until Lucy discovers that Geraldine's girlfriend is also Lord Fairfax's mistress, and Bulman finds that Geraldine was onto a scam involving Ferris.

- A girl is found murdered on a rubbish dump, and Kingdom investigation leads him into the world of drop-outs. As he builds up a picture of the dead girl and searches for a motive , one question haunts ; why was her body placed in that particular location.
- William Radkin is found dead by the window of his sitting room, Kingdom and Ward find that he was killed by a .22 bullet, fired from the outside of his house. Meanwhile, a known pickpocket is brought into a police station and the contents of his pocket reveal a possible link with Radkin's death.
- Sebastian Barrios is an Ambassador of Guantala, a South American republic, living in London with his wife Candida and son Manuel. Candida gets a telephone call from Manuel, announcing that he has been kidnapped. But investigation prove that it was not entirely a political kidnapping.
- Two masked men burst into the home of wealthy jeweller Elliot Ryan and his wife Carlotta, and rob them of many valuable items. Kingdom and Ward suspect the job was set up by someone who knew Ryan's habits. And who is the photographer taking pictures of Carlotta and her lover.
