- The adventures of an inventor whose time-travelling house enables him and his friends to encounter people/events from the Bible.
- Mendou invites Ataru & Co. to his estate for a viewing of a large, aging cherry tree named "Tarozakura", which is to be featured in an independent film which happens to be financed by Mendou, directed by Megane, and starring Lum. During filming, Ataru cuts down Tarozakura as called for in the script, but the downed tree starts foaming and disintegrates. Afterwards, bizarre incidents occur all over Tomobiki, a mountain emerges out of the ground, spring gives way to winter, Sakura's ghostly friends disappear, Lum begins losing her powers, and Lum's friends begin acting as though she doesn't exist.
- A-ko and B-ko are fighting as usual, as C-ko watches from the sidelines feeling neglected by both. Ayumi-sensei has been behaving strangely lately. She's wearing a heart-shaped crystal with a hexagram inside, and is chanting mysterious prayers in private. At the ruins of an ancient civilization, an archaeologist spies a hexagram among the hieroglyphics. Deep in outer space, an alien fleet is on a course for Earth, and its flagship bears the same hexagram shape.
- It is summertime, and Shinobu laments not having a boyfriend. She then happens upon a young man weak from hunger, and wearing a rabbit costume. She gives him a carrot, he expresses his gratitude by hitting on her... and she hits back. The young man leaves behind a key to another dimension where everybody's possible futures exist. Lum and Ataru join Shinobu to find the bunny boy, and happy futures for themselves.
- Lum & her girlfriends are invited to Neptune by Oyuki. There she shows them her new business venture at a ranch of flying sherbets, birds capable of producing sherbet cones from their beaks. Ran convinces Oyuki to let her borrow one, her goal is to make some quick cash selling sherbets on Earth. Unfortunately, the combination of being overworked and a hot summer day has made the sherbet extremely cranky, even from its refrigerated cage. It breaks from its cage and escapes, but not before attacking Ran and Lum, and trashing Benten's brand-new bike by shooting sherbet cones at it. Now it's up to Ran to retrieve the sherbet before Benten blasts it out of the sky, and more importantly, before Oyuki finds out.
- After his mother dies, a 14-year-old boy named Taro is invited by his grandfather to the Hanaukyo mansion. Soon after he arrives, his grandfather disappears, and Taro learns that not only will be inherit the unbelievably huge estate, he will have access to the multitude of beautiful young maids working there.
- Woody escapes from the rain and lightning into the castle of a mad scientist. The scientist's latest invention, a chicken-plucking robot name Frankie, has awoken, and think's Woody is a chicken! Woody has to stay away from Frankie if he wants to keep his feathers.
- A white ermine escapes from an exotic pet store, and is found unconscious by a college student, who takes him home to his apartment complex. Now named "Kojopî", he struggles to adapt to his new life in the building; where he encounters the oft-eccentric human tenants, and their pets.

- During another one of Ataru & Ten's fights, Ten accidentally burns the scarf that Lum had made for him, yet strangely Lum isn't upset with Ten. Ataru then tries to goad her to become angry with Ten, and later Lum practices disciplining him aboard her UFO. Meanwhile, Ten wanders around town trying to think of the proper way to apologize to her.

The girls managed to trap him on a stalactite on some remote planet after a chase through space, but now that he's escaped, he's looking for revenge!
- Ataru confides to Megane that he is "giving up", and has chosen him as successor. Megane is elated as he imagines having Lum all to himself. Shinobu, having overheard their conversation, imagines that with Ataru out of the picture, there would change in the class' balance of power would result in her losing Mendou to Lum, causing repercussions far beyond Tomobiki High. She then conspires with the popular girls from the surrounding schools to stop Ataru and protect the status quo.

When their ship is captured by an alien craft, they learn Earth has been conquered by the evil Galra Empire, led by the ruthless Emperor Daibazaal. The young men are sent to the Slave Castle, a place where unspeakable horrors await all the races conquered by the Galrans. After a while, the men plan a daring escape from their grisly prison, though no one had ever made it out alive before. Escape is their only option, for staying means certain death for all of them.
