- Sam is a dexterity-challenged art student having the worst day of his life when a streak of fate, and a gust of wind, blows a woman named Hope across his path.
- Director Adam Rifkin's wildly surreal, outrageously funny and strangely touching documentary about a truly Outsider Artist, Guiseppe Andrews, who has made 30 movies starring the seriously-impaired residents of his trailer park.
- Ready for a Marxist-Leninist-musical documentary? The Busby Berkeley of propaganda, Jim Finn, follows a South Korean video artist in North Korea who hopes to revitalize Juche cinema, somewhat inspired by a true story of a South Korean filmmaker kidnapped in the 70s to make the North Korean film industry better. In the mod 60s, film-fanatic Kim Jong Il adapted his father's Juche (pronounced choo-CHAY) philosophy to propaganda, film and art. Translated as self-reliance, Juche is a hybrid of Confucian and authoritarian Stalinist pseudo-socialism. Finn is the undisputed champion of propaganda as pure art, and this is his best yet. He uses the tools of traditional documentary, formal avant-garde, language lesson videos, and some sci-fi recreations to dig down to the souls of governments, leaders and media manipulation. No kitsch mockumentary, just careful analysis of the love of cinema that is as surreally funny as it is truth. Isn't art revolutionary? Is there humanism within all those faces?
- A selection of underground short films by Cam Archer ("light/dark"), Tom Barndt ("The Mark"), Lilli Carre ("How She Slept at Night"), Chris Peters ("Winners (On Parade")), Calvin Lee Reeder ("The Rambler"), Todd Rohal ("Hill-billy Robot"), Kelly Sears ("The Drift") and the Zellner Bros ("Redemptitude").
- Post-Vietnam, Paul bought a trailer for his family to live in. Many bad winters made the mobile home unlivable, so he took matters into his own hands and started to build a house - around the trailer. He never made any blueprints. 30 years, 4 floors and 100 windows later, the house is almost done. A portrait of a 20th Century man, redemption of the spirit and the house as a teacher.
- A film about a cargo ship's journey on its way to becoming a phantom.
