- Grace is rescued by a handsome Jewish doctor who pulls her up on his horse and delivers her just in time for her insemination with an impatient Will.
- Karen confronts her ex-husband's mistress before she invites Will, Grace and Jack on her extravagant yacht for a somber ceremony.
- Charlie tries to figure out the photo that shows Reese meeting Raybourne a few days before his apparent death. He then gets assigned a new partner, Jane Seever, who is nothing like Reese. They catch an ex-con fleeing a murder scene. The victim was a young woman with whom the man, John, had been writing letters when he was in prison. The man claims the girl was dead when he got there. They started dating when he got out. John confesses that he had been writing to another woman as well, but stopped doing it when he got out. The woman had become upset. At FBI, Reese is shown more and more material featuring both Raybourne and Charlie, who turn out to be part of the Organized Crime Task Force Investigation she has been brought into. John's other pen pal turns out to be a religious woman who has forgiven him and actually worships him as a saint. John, however, made his one post-arrest phone call to a third woman, Nina Fiske. She turns out to be a playwright and yet another pen pal of John's. Then John manages to escape.
- Morning shift begins. The night shift treated 142 patients - a new record. Dr. Morris is confident that by the end of the day the ER can set a new record of 300 patients. Frank reminds him that there has never been more than 250 patients in a day. Dr. Morris bets $300 that they can reach 300 by the end of the shift. Frank, Dr. Gates and Dr. Pratt each bet $100 against him. But will the game be fair? Also, when chaplain Dupree arrives announcing that she's doing a round of the hospital, holding blessing ceremonies and memorials, the guys are against it, except for Dr. Gates, which makes the others suspicious. Frank goes straight to the point. Then there is the accident involving a camel.

Vicki finds news that Susan's ex-fiancée Kip is now engaged to a new woman, which causes her insomnia. Jack can't make it so Susan and Vicki go out with Luis and Carlos. To Luis's surprise, Carlos has lost *a lot* of weight and become a really handsome man. Roslin starts her climb up from the depths of despair she had fallen to soon after the Fleet found Earth.

Jesse also has a son, Little John, who is handy in repelling jerks who try to hit on Jesse. Then a handsome Chilean, Diego, moves into the house next door and comes to borrow a can-opener. Jesse's dad takes instant dislike to Diego but Jesse feels attracted to Diego. Diego is pleased to learn that Jesse is single, but has to show restraint when Jesse tells her ex-husband walked out on her 7 years before. He asks Jesse out but she declines. Jesse's friend at work, Carrie, thinks that was a mistake. Jesse then decides to get to know Diego better.

Rory surprises everyone with the revelation that he has a rich girlfriend. But what kind of Christmas present can he give to a girl who has everything?

At 1 a.m. the following night, Diego goes to bring Linda home since her date Chuck ditched her. After hearing that Linda still plans to see Chuck again, Diego tries to get into her head that she needs someone "nice". The following day Linda tells about this to Jesse, and claims that Jesse dumped the greatest guy in the world. Jesse disagrees - it all comes down to the fact that Diego wants "all or nothing". And suddenly she starts to think about it again...
- At home: When the boys manage to get the whole family kicked out of a pizza place because of their misbehavior, Jill points out that since Tim has encouraged the boys' bad behavior, he should be the one to teach them how to behave. On Tool Time: Besides showing how to lay floor boards, Tim takes the time to give a speech about manners. He also demonstrates the new Binford nail gun, with predictable results.
- A woman who broke her leg while trying to escape a house fire is brought in with her husband. The husband, Mr. Lotery did not let the paramedics to check him over. Then his brother-in-law arrives, saying that he predicted that something like the house fire would happen - it was actually an arson. Mr. Lotery's brother-in-law becomes aggressive and accuses him of being a pervert, specifically a pedophile. Mr. Lotery denies the accusations. He was sued but found not guilty. When Mr. Lotery is waiting for his wife who's in line for X-ray, he has the chance to calm down a young girl who is afraid of needles. When his brother-in-law sees this, he brutally assaults him, while Dr. Brenner calmly watches nearby... Meanwhile, Neela gets sued for malpractice.
- Though Jim finds Cheryl's anecdotes boring, he advises Ryan that a husband must pretend to like a wife's stories because listening is foreplay. Cheryl hears it and argues with Jim. Jim boasts that he's an unbeatable showman. This means war!

- Little John has a part in kids' Christmas comedy stage-play of Jesus and his dog Barko. Diego is still upset about the kiss between Jesse and Roy. Roy has actually asked Jesse out on a date and Diego becomes jealous when he hears about it from Linda. Darren is going to appear in a TV commercial. He asks Carrie to return the ring he gave her in order to make Linda jealous, since the trick did not work. Carrie has had it and "breaks up" with Darren (they only pretended to be together), and Linda sees that her opportunity has presented itself.
- Sean sees Henry's new friend Ryan for what he is: a spoiled brat. Brad's friends get on Lily's nerves. Jimmy is excited because Ashley said he is cute. Claudia sees Eddie with a woman but Eddie doesn't want to talk to her. What's he hiding?
- Diego gives Jesse a present: book of poems by Pablo Neruda. Jesse is impressed: no one has given her poetry before. Diego invites her to come over in the evening. There is just one problem: how to explain to Little John what exactly mommy is doing with a new man.
- A firefighter is brought in after being injured at a fire that is blamed on a young girl with genetic problems. Abby decides to prove the girl did not cause the fire. A disfigured man saves his anti-social neighbor. An old woman dies unattended at the ER while the staff are waiting for a psychiatrist. Pratt backs up Abby in an administration meeting. Neela's cousin apparently chooses Harold.
- Nick tries to talk Eddie into starting a business together, Phil fights for his Pizza Girl, and Ray tells Owen something he doesn't want to hear.
- At home: Tim's project hot rod is finally in the stage where he can see if it starts up. It doesn't. Tim takes a break. Jill wants him to fix a doorknob, the burner on the stove, the gas line and the ice dispenser. Tim keeps postponing them all because of the hot rod. Jill declares that she will fix the stove and the ice dispenser. Tim forbids that and promises he will fix everything, "soon". Jill becomes tired of waiting and calls a repairman to fix the stove. Tim does not approve. Then the repairman sees the hot rod and in an instant forgets all about the stove... In Tool Time: It's Lawn Care Week. Tim gives a speech about mowing the lawn and presents several types of grass. Later during the week, they will salute clippers and sprinklers, but first they salute fertilizers.
- Al makes Peg stop her constant shopping by taking his card away from her and electrifying the phone so that she cannot place any orders. Meanwhile, it's Jefferson's 40th birthday and he has to accept he is no longer a young man and Marcy may one day leave him; so, Marcy forces him to get a job, which he does, as the new aerobics instructor at a new health club Peggy wins a free membership pass for. Elsewhere, Gary hires Bud and Kelly to shoot a TV commercial for the shoe store. There is a role for a shoe salesman. Al forces Bud to hire him, but Al has no acting experience.
- A man has been killed in broad daylight and Pete is at the scene. A stranger passes Pete by and whispers into his ear: "It's off." When Pete is looking at sketches of the suspects, MacGyver notices that Pete has trouble with his vision. Agent Stams from DXS arrives to meet Pete. Phoenix took on the job of returning Samantha Lora, a political fugitive, to her home country. Samantha's supporters were going to deliver a videotape stolen from San Pablo presidential palace showing summary executions of 200 political prisoners, when they ran into a death squad waiting for them. Pete was supposed to get the tape because they have a 6 p.m. deadline for a media conference about its contents at a local broadcasting station, but the man who has it took off when the death squad appeared and his whereabouts are unknown. Samantha is the only one who knows how to contact him. And for her, Phoenix has arranged a safe place until her transport to San Pablo leaves. Pete and MacGyver go to pick up Samantha when she arrives undercover. Samantha calls the number at which the man with the tape can be contacted. He then calls her back and agrees a time and place where he will deliver the tape. MacGyver gets to be the pick-up man. But underlings of the president of San Pablo are on his tail...
- Roslin is on board a raptor en route to the Rebel Cylon Base Star, but Gaeta has ordered to engage and destroy it. The marines have used a stun grenade on Adama and Tigh. Roslin manages to get a wireless transmission out for everyone to hear and learn what Gaeta has done. She and the others barely make it to the Base Star, where she convinces Tory and the other Cylons to use the Fleet as a cover in order to prevent Gaeta from attacking it. She also believes that Adama will be able to save the rest of the Final Four. Temporarily safe, the Rebel Cylons start voting on whether they should just jump away and count their losses. Adama is brought before Gaeta and Tigh is thrown to the brig with Caprica Six, Anders, Athena, Helo and their child Hera. Zarek comes aboard Galactica on Colonial One with the Quorum. At Gaeta's insisting, Zarek agrees to put Adama on trial for treason, with Romo Lampkin assigned as his defence lawyer. There's just one problem: The Quorum refuses to recognize Zarek's authority. However, Zarek is hell-bent on following his "The truth is told by those left standing" maxim. Only Tyrol, who's alone, and Lee, whose with Starbuck, are Galactica's last hope.
- Ashby hosts a party to celebrate the publication of Mia's book; Charlie announces to Marcy, who has just completed rehab, that he wants a divorce; Becca is devastated to catch Damien cheating on her.
- Will's budding interest in a fellow lawyer in his office is nipped upon the arrival of his firm's aggressive new boss, who whips the troops into shape and orders Will to fire his friend.
- Jesse and Diego take a private holiday to consummate their relationship. Darren has ordered a two-person horse costume for Halloween, but there are two end pieces of a horse and not a single head piece. Then Little John's father returns after seven years of absence...
- Diego appears on Jesse's doorstep in the middle of night to bang the door. He comes to bring an important message: Roy is "fundamentally evil". Jesse does not heed him. Linda has been arriving late to work for the whole week and Jesse's dad gives Jesse the task of reprimanding her. Meanwhile, Darren and Junior have a talk with Diego: their advice is: "Move along with your life." Diego then confronts Roy, telling that he is backing off. But that is not the conclusion...
- While ALF now is into gardening, Willie has a problem at work: A lost Mexican boy is at his office and Willie is trying to track down his father. When that fails, Willie has no option but to bring the boy home.
- Kris is about to race for Dani, on her horse Picaro, against Wildfire... Jean does not like the situation but Pablo finds a bright side to it: Wildfire can now learn to give everything for other riders than Kris. Kerry is trying to talk Kris into feeling at ease with the task - to understand she's a *professional* jockey now. Their relationship is also deepening. Meanwhile, Matt is concerned that Picaro has a slight injury. Dani wants to win in order to pay back her dad. Bobby comes to see Junior in order to make amends. Junior says he needs $50,000 and offers his club as a collateral in order to place a bet on Picaro. If Picaro loses, Bobby will get the nightclub...

Then he can't help but proclaim that he and Crystal are going to Donald Chadwell's beach estate - he won the draw. Lydia has plans with Stewart's ex-friend/current-enemy Jack, but still wishes they could come. Benjamin has stomach pains and both Oliver and Stewart think he should see a doctor. Meanwhile, Regina gets a date with a woman called Conner. Stewart gets a hernia and luckily for Ben, he hits it off with Stewart's nurse Wendy. However, all the siblings have surprises coming for them and Crystal reveals a hidden talent or two.

Despite years of not ending up getting some, Bud gets lucky but falls asleep and realizes that in order to be able to concentrate on studying, he has to give up everything that reminds him of sex. This proves to be quite difficult. In order to find a place where nothing turns him on, Bud goes to the library. Surely he can forget about sex there?
- When Al finds out that Bud and Gary are dating, he and Griff decide to take advantage of the situation like a break room.
- A woodpecker keeps Tim awake at night. He's trying hard to get rid of it, but Mark has been feeding it and named it Pete. Brad tries to fake being sick in order to be able to stay home because his math homework is not done since Jennifer used to do it until she refused and Brad broke up with her. When Brad flunks in math Randy suggests that he tell Jill that Jennifer left him and he's depressed because of it. This works, until Jennifer turns up and Jill learns the truth. Tim and Jill have to teach Brad and they find out that multiplying compound fractions is not as easy as they thought it would be... In Tool Time: Tim demonstrates how to lay a new floor. Tim has one of his genius ideas regarding how to scrape off the old floor. With the usual results.
- Rory has reached the age of regular self-pleasuring. A stunning younger woman is hanging around with principal Gibb. He introduces her as his "friend" Cheryl, but she is much more intimate with him than that. Cate is jealous. Gibb asks C.J. to let Cheryl attend his classes in preparation for her upcoming final exams to get a GED certificate. Gibb wants to make sure Cate is not uncomfortable about him dating Cheryl. Cheryl, meanwhile, asks "personal tutoring" from C.J. - in the privacy of her home... What will C.J. do? And Rory gets caught with his pants down - literally.

When Kelly brings home a sexy-guys calendar, Bud decides to make a Girls of Trumaine calendar. All goes well, especially with stunning cover girl Crystal Clark--until, sounding very troubled, she has second thoughts about appearing in the calendar. Meanwhile, Peg is on the road searching for her dad to save her parents' marriage.
