This offering is very melodramatic in nature. It is well photographed and the direction is meritorious, in an artistic sense, but, taking all in all, it is not very pleasant to view. Alice Joyce is the feature and does her usual good work and the acting of all the others in the cast is well done. The denouement is quite a surprise. - The Moving Picture World, August 8, 1914
