"Perpetual Motion" is a live-action/animated film from the Fleischer Brothers and stars their big 1920s star, Koko the Clown. However, as I watched I couldn't help but think that part of the film is missing (a very common thing with old films like this one), as the ending seemed very abrupt...too abrupt.
The plot is a bit hard to discern in this one, as there are no intertitle cards. I almost always remember seeing them in Koko cartoons and perhaps they are just missing. Either way, it's hard to tell exactly what's happening. A scientist (?) is fiddling with some machine. Dave and his fellow animator steal the magnet from the machine and give it to Koko...and it seems to attract EVERYTHING, whether metal or not.
Again, it was very hard to follow this film and it ended abruptly. As such, it's really hard to rate and hopefully there's a better copy than this one I found on a DVD from Alpha Video.
