This film had largely been forgotten until assistant director Gordon Sparling donated his print to the Library and Archives of Canada, who restored it. It has since become an important piece of the film history of Canada.
According to assistant director Gordon Sparling, writer/director Bruce Bairnsfather shot this film without a script.
Financial backers of this film included Arthur Meighen and R.B. Bennett, past and future prime ministers of Canada.
At the time, this film was the largest Canadian film production.
