Did you think that Clueless was only valuable to the generation of 90s kids who grew up on it? As if!
The 1995 film, which starred Alicia Silverstone as a popular, superficial teenager and launched a trend of colorful, patterned fashion choices, has returned thanks to the latest project from Episode, an app that creates interactive series for its young, mobile users.
Episode's contribution to the Clueless universe is titled Clueless: School's Out. It gives players the ability to interact with the film's heroines, with dialogue decisions opening up specific pieces of content. Ultimately, a press release notes that Episode users will eventually be able to form "'Bff' relationships" with the clique that had such a profound effect on 90s teen culture.
School's Out is Episode's second collaboration with Paramount Pictures, the studio that distributed Clueless. The two companies previously teamed up for an interactive, mobile project based on another...

While the 89th Annual Academy Awards were filled with more than its fair share of big surprises and one massive, baffling mishap, there was even more going on behind the scenes and off-camera that viewers at home didn't get a chance to witness.
From A-listers snapping selfies with fans at the bar to nominees taking political stands, here are just a few fun highlights of what you didn't get to see on Sunday:

A number of big stars and Oscar nominees took a strong political stance at the Academy Awards, rocking blue ribbons in support of the American Civil Liberties Union. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruth Negga and Karlie Kloss were some of the stars who showed their support on the red carpet and during the show.

This week's episode of Chicago Pd was not the episode to watch if you wanted to feel good about the world. Or if you had fond memories of your teenage years. In general, Chicago Pd Season 4 Episode 13 was a downer all the way around.
"I Remember Her Now" told a bleak story about a facility for troubled girls that had been turned into a prostitution ring by an opportunistic resident and an equally deplorable security supervisor. It's the kind of story that's been used on crime dramas before, and it's depressing every single time.
It even had the whole speech from the perpetrator about how she should actually be appreciated for giving her victims a better life, because it's not as if the police care. You've seen and heard this before - maybe not this exact plot but at least one that's similarly about abusing the less fortunate.
And chances...

A salute to some of the finest uplifting moments in film, and to cinema's ability to lift your day.
A few weeks ago we published a list of traumatic moments that have appeared in family films. Of course we all enjoyed that waltz through painful childhood nightmare fuel, but the question was raised, why not do a list of slightly more positive and upbeat movie scenes instead? Thus, this: 25 of the most triumphant movie moments of all time.
Everyone has that go-to feel-good movie which they stick on when life is getting them down. Had a bad week at work? Stick Four Weddings on. Football team lose 5-0 and get soaked through on your way home? Time for Baseketball. Leave a tenner in the pocket of your jeans that just went in the wash and thus suddenly realise that life is a never-ending cycle of pain and...

Lady Gaga is already experiencing the downsides of driving. Just two weeks after getting her driver's license, the singer and actress had her first run-in with the cops on Friday. While driving in her red Ford F-150 Svt Lightning pickup truck on the Pacific Coast Highway in California, Gaga was pulled over by a police officer. The 30-year-old performer took to Twitter on Saturday to clear up the situation. "Ya I got pulled over. Big deal!" she wrote. "I just haven't received plates yet for my new pick up!" Ya I got pulled over. Big deal! I just haven't received...

School's out, birds are singing and the sun hangs high in a cloudless sky — time for the streaming junkie to retreat to the safe confines of the great indoors, safe from harmful non cathode rays of light. Those who think of summer as a season of sand and surf may feel a slight twinge of guilt while hunkering down for that eighth consecutive episode or triple feature. But as a wise man once said, you're not hardcore unless you live hardcore — so get going on Episode Nine, people. And with...

School's out for summer! And by "school," we mean work. And by "out for summer," we mean "You probably won't be in your office any less but at least the weather is nicer." How's that for some Memorial Day Weekend cheer, huh? But regardless of the realities of adulthood, the long weekend is here and it's time to celebrate. And whenever it's time to celebrate, we look no further than one Leonardo DiCaprio for guidance. The actor, while one of the hardest-working in Hollywood, is also one of the best leisure-ers (that's a word, right) known to man. The guy can kick back, and kick back hard. Whether he's lounging in the South of France or some random...

It's Halloween week on Strictly Come Dancing, with scary make-up and spooky props aplenty.
But who brought a bit of magic to the dance floor, and who had a monstrous night? Find out with our round-up of the scores and comments from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli - and you can relive every dance below:
1. Katie Derham & Anton Du Beke dancing the paso doble to 'Phantom of the Opera' by Steve Harley and Sarah Brightman: 4+6+6+5=21
Len: "The problem is you're like an English rose and the paso is a cactus, sharp aggressive and spiky. It doesn't really suit your personality. I got the willies at one time when I thought you would use the wrong foot. It wasn't great, Kate - I wish it was."
Darcey: "You look the part – absolutely stunning. To help strengthen your performance use those beautiful eyes.

School's out on Lark Voorhies' short-lived marriage, the "Saved By The Bell" star has filed for divorce. Lark married Jimmy Green in April in a Vegas ceremony after the couple met on Facebook just a year earlier. In the docs, she's asking the court to cut any chances of spousal support for Jimmy. Jimmy tells TMZ his marriage to the 'Sbtb' star has been a nightmare from the beginning and Lark's mom was a big part of their issues.

Netflix's sci-fi series Between reaches new lows in its fifth and penultimate episode. Here's Mark's review...
This review contains spoilers.
1.5 End Of The Rope
The quality of the writing and performing demonstrate no ambitions to improve in the penultimate Between. If it wasn’t already, the game is up in episode 5.
And by that I mean that the show entirely throws off any premise of being ‘science fiction’, because instead what it turns out to be is a cheap, cliché-riddled and uninteresting show about teenage angst. But what really shocks me is the lack of variation between the characters, because other than their appearance it would be hard to separate them based purely on their ability to make poor choices or how generally deluded they are.
It starts with Pat doing the right thing, by doing the wrong thing, sending Wiley to get medical supplies while holding her baby hostage.

1.3 Crossing Lines
Before I get into the third instalment of Between, I want to correct something I said last time. I’d said that the conversation between Chuck and Gord was about football, when it was about ice hockey. A better look at the ‘Dukes’ logo on Chuck’s jacket revealed my mistake, sorry.
I’ve just got to the end of Crossing Lines, and I’m feeling distinctly upbeat that this show is now half over. That said, the past 42 minutes were particularly dire in terms of entertainment, as Between moved effortlessly between a set of characters without generating the smallest morsel of viewer connection between them. It’s hard to imagine a less likeable collection of self-obsessed characters.
But before we get to that,...

People keep dying in Pretty Lake, making it much less pretty. Here's Mark's review of the latest from Netflix's original sci-fi Between...
This review contains spoilers.
1.2 Who's The Boss
Picking up not long after where the first episode ended, I was really hoping Who's The Boss would turn this around from a parade of uninteresting characters. It didn’t, and instead carried on with patronising notion that young people, left to their own devices, will make nothing but a horrible mess.
But before I get to that, the first piece of information we’re presented is that the fatalities are now at 6,043 on Day 14, although, unless I missed it, they’ve never actually told us exactly how many people lived there in the first place. Assuming that Pretty Lake is an average Us town, approximately 30% of the population are 0-22 years old, so there are in the region of 1800 people left alive.

Mark takes a look at new six-part Netflix original sci-fi drama, Between, and finds it lacking in nuance...
This review contains spoilers.
1.1 School's Out
I agreed to review Between for two reasons; Daredevil was rather good, and at only six episodes long, I could handle the tedium if it wasn’t.
After watching the first episode, I can say with some certainty that this isn’t anything crafted remotely like Daredevil, and it harks back to an era of network TV that I’d thought we’d left behind long ago.
It starts with a rather dire future where almost half of Pretty Lake’s population is dead, and then rewinds to ten days before to explain how this happened. It doesn’t present any plausible explanation of the deaths, instead filling its time parading a series of increasingly uninteresting and loathsome characters who we’re supposed to identify with before Between is done.
