A mansion is borrowed...
papp-dani28 August 2005
Great story, with the best Hungarian actors of the inter-war period! Two couples want to get married, but do to financial and social difficulties they aren't able to. Then comes the great idea of lending a rich girl's mansion to a poor man, so that they will seem just the opposite of what they are actually. The superb Gyula Kabos plays the relative who came home from Brazil, pretending to be poor while his beautiful daughter is Klári Tolnay. The handsome Imre Ráday plays the young man in love, while Ida Turay is the girl from the mansion. Watch out for a great character actress Piri Vaszary as the cantankerous mother. To know if there will be a happy end or not, you have to see the film. With many original jokes and superb acting, this comedy from Hungary is one of the best!
