The Andrews Sisters hold a record as the biggest singing sister act of all time. They sold nearly 100 million records and earned 19 Gold records. They were dubbed "The Sweethearts of the Armed Forces" for their many appearances to entertain American and Allied troops before and during World War II. They visited and sang in war zones, on bases of all the services, in hospitals, warehouses, airplane hangars and munitions factories. They entertained troops in Italy, North Africa and stateside.
