Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is the episode where the Memphis Wrestling Legends actually get their due. This was supposed to happen on last week’s Aew: Dynamite, but look how that turned out. Any-way, we’ve got that here, so call Taylor Swift and tell her to bang a squirrel, because…I forget. Call Taylor Swift and tell her to f— a squirrel.
Match #1: Darby Allin defeated Brandon Cutler
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a nice match, but not enough of Allin doing his thing. Also, this was far too short. Why was this so short? Balance your cards better and you’ll have time for a fifteen match on this show. Booking. Learn how to do it.
Match #2: Nyla Rose vs. Shanna (No Contest)
My Opinion: 1.4 out of 5 – Rose is a big b—-.

All Elite Wrestling (Aew) has “over-delivered right out of the gate” for TNT, according to Kevin Reilly.
Reilly — the chief content officer for HBO Max and president of TNT, TBS, and truTV — spoke with Variety at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Wednesday in the wake of the announcement that the pro wrestling promotion has signed a four-year contract extension with TNT. Under the new deal, Aew will begin airing a second weekly show on the network.
Aew’s flagship weekly show, “Dynamite,” began airing Wednesdays on TNT in October. Reilly says discussions to extend the deal began over the holidays.
“I just had this idea that this was the time to invest,” he says. “This is a startup. It’s already over-delivered out of the gate. That’s really when you want to hit the gasoline a little bit. The guys already have ideas about additional talent...

Snowpiercer will finally pull into the station this spring — nearly five years after the small-screen adaptation was first put into development.
The post-apocalyptic drama will premiere on Sunday, May 31 at 9/8c, it was announced Wednesday. Based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel (which was first adapted for film by Parasite director Bong Joon Ho in 2013), the TV version is “set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland” and “centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1,001 cars, that circles the globe,” according to the official logline.
