Sex & Nudity

  • Very little cleavage (almost not worth mentioning) is shown at various times. A woman is seen wearing leggings.

Violence & Gore

  • For a 1944 comedy, there are a lot of fatal stabbings, shootings, and other violence in this film. Pirates conquer a ship, killing some of the crew and executing the survivors (some of the deaths are shown as they walk the plank). Later, a man in a sack is bludgeoned, then thrown in the ocean to drown, and neither the heroes nor anyone else try to save him.
  • Women are abducted. They scream and try to fight back, but are unsuccessful.
  • A man forcefully holds, and tries to kiss a woman, against her will. She struggles to break free.
  • A little sword fighting, but this is not intense and often humorous. At one point, some blood is shown to have come from the bucket serving as "Ye Bucket of Blood"'s logo. At another time, blood is shown from a bullet wound on a man's hand and he diagnoses the death as "heart failure".

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some commical heavy drinking in which one character chugs down two two-gallon sized (maybe more) beers. This scene takes place in a bar where others are drinking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • None, though the scene depicting a shrunken head may unsettle young children (again, in a humorous setting).
