Actor Zac Efron was left "squirming" in his seat after taking his mother to an advance screening of his new romantic drama The Lucky One, and even ducked out of the theatre when things got a little too steamy onscreen.
The High School Musical hunk admits he was left red faced as he watched his own love scenes with actress Taylor Schilling - as his mum Starla sat nearby.
Efron tells People.com, "We saw the film together and I was kind of squirming. Even though she was a couple of seats down from me, I tried to duck out during those (love) scenes because it was too embarrassing.
"Obviously I'm acting, but knowing that my mum and my family were watching is kind of awkward. There's really no way around it."
But Efron's mum brushed off the sexy scenes and was beaming with pride all the way through the film.
He says, "She was just laughing about it in a good way. She said, 'That's my boy!' I think she was proud of me at the end of it, even if it was weird for her to watch. My mum is my biggest supporter."...

With its affable cast and broadly-appealing battle-of-the-sexes premise, Think Like a Man easily took the top spot at the box office this weekend ahead of The Lucky One and four-time champ The Hunger Games. In fourth place, Chimpanzee exceeded expectations and set a few minor records. Overall, the Top 12 earned an estimated $123.3 million this weekend, which is a very slight improvement over the same frame last year.Think Like a Man opened to an estimated $33 million from just 2,015 theaters. The movie's $16,377 per-theater average is third-highest for a nationwide release so far this year behind The Hunger Games ($36,871) and The Lorax ($18,830) and significantly above huge hits like The Vow, Safe House and 21 Jump Street. Its opening was also better than nearly all comparable titles, including all Tyler Perry movies except Madea Goes to Jail ($41 million). Finally, it topped 2009's Obsessed ($28.6 million) to become Screen Gems' highest opener ever targeting African-American audiences (overall,...

As you're reading this, Project X is currently playing in movie theaters. The new film tells the tale of a group of brave chimpanzees horny high school students who escape from a government testing laboratory throw a party. As a service to you, we answer every question that you could possibly have about Project X. Q: Were you offended by Project X? A: No. To be honest, I was bored by Project X. Q: How could Project X be boring? Parties are exciting! A: When an entire movie is one big party scene, parties can become very dull. It was like watching a 90-minute Coors Light commercial. Q: What were you thinking during this movie that you've never thought before during a movie? A: "I really wish that Michael Cera and Jonah Hill were in this movie." Q: How does Project X begin? A: With a written thank you to...

After a season in which we met gay Agent Steve Jinks, saw his blossoming Bff relationship with Claudia, witnessed Pete offer him his shirtless glory, and saw him fired by Regent Mrs. Frederic for taking an ethical stand ... we've come to the two-hour season finale of Warehouse 13.
To say it was a roller coaster ride is an understatement. We began with a tense, slow climb, followed by a rush of euphoria, then another climb, then when it looked as though it was going to completely fly off the tracks, a last minute loop-de-loop saved it, and left us wanting more.
The finale was actually two episodes back-to-back, and it's a good thing (especially for AfterElton) that they decided to combine them, otherwise the events at the end of the first part would cause a sh*t storm.
But the two parts blended seamlessly, and we didn't get a chance...

Wednesday was Top Three night on "American Idol X: Scotty McCreery or Bust!"
Sorry, females of the world. The two representative specimens left in this high pressure ultra-important competition had a night full of stumbles, bumbles, and crumbles. And while fans debate which is worse — tripping on a step, or tripping on a key change? — some of us are busy asking the important questions. Such as, do we prefer Scotty with a buzz-cut or Scotty with an inch of hair? Have we ever heard Scotty "sing a chorus like that" before? What about one song later? And are you going to kiss him or not?!
Before I start pointing out how ... energetic ... Jimmy Iovine looked in the audience Wednesday night, here's a quick reminder to tune into my weekly Web show,...

Despite rumor that Justin Bieber was not the real winner of Artist of the Year at the recent American Music Awards, fellow celebrities like Sean Garrett and Muse have nothing but good words for the young star. They agreed that the Canadian singer is now the hottest guy in the game.
"He just kind of came out of nowhere," Garrett told MTV when asked about his opinion of Bieber's domination at the awards show. "He's excited. He's the youngest in charge, and he's definitely got the ladies." Muse's drummer Dominic Howard added, "Tonight he's won all the awards even though he's not quite a man yet. Boy of the year!"
Justin Bieber himself credited fans for his success. "I think that my fans have been such a supporting factor that, I mean, I couldn't be doing this without them, so this has just been amazing," the pint-sized idol gushed. "I...

'Michael's not your dad or anything,' singer laughs, clarifying statement that 'without Michael Jackson, none of us would be here.'

Justin Bieber had a great night at Sunday's American Music Awards. Not only did he perform his inspirational new track, "Pray," at the big show, but he also walked away with four awards, including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album for My World 2.0, Artist of the Year and T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist.
But Bieber's shout-out to Michael Jackson left some viewers confused: Taking the stage to collect one of his trophies, he said, "Without Michael Jackson, none of us would be here." When MTV News caught up with the superstar later in the night, he laughed off the somewhat misleading comment.

Last night - by far - was my favorite episode of the season. Not only was I sitting on the edge of my seat when Oliver fell into the tank, but how awesome was it to see some type of relationship start to form between Eddie and Hank?
But before we get to that, did you know that "In Vino Veritas" in Latin means "in wine there is the truth"? It was a great title for this episode because Hank really had to face the truth about his feelings for his father.
It really was a big awe moment when Hank yelled out to Eddie:
Hank: Dad, I need you! | permalink
Call me a sucker, but with all the flashbacks of that one day almost had me in tears. Eddie may not have been the world's greatest dad, but you can clearly see just how much Hank means to him.

This week's choice movie clips take inspiration from perspiration, as the stars show they're only human. By Josh Du Sautoy
Summer is finally upon us, get ready for a season of all the usual: beer gardens, sunburn and buckets of sweat. Apologies for the bluntness, but sweat is simply a by-product of all that heat. While there may be some lucky enough to have perennially dry armpits, there'll be the rest of us caked in the stuff, cooped up in our offices with only a malfunctioning fan to help us stem the tide.
Similar to emotional escape, cinema also provides us with a cool haven away from the heat outside. Sitting down in a (hopefully) airconditioned auditorium, we can forget about our stains for an hour or two, before venturing out into the blazing sun once more.
But what's this? Apparently those up there on the silver screen are real people who sweat too!

Good things come in big packages for Kendra Wilkinson - at least when it comes to her super-sized baby boy, Hank Baskett IV. He weighed a whopping 9 lbs., 5 oz., when he was born Dec. 11, and he's only getting bigger. "Crazy how baby Hank is 9 wks old but I just put him in a 6-9 [month] outfit [and] it fits," Wilkinson, 24, Tweeted. "That's my boy! Lol." The reality show star says she and her husband, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett, who is still licking his wounds from his team's recent Super Bowl loss to the New Orleans Saints, will spend Valentine's Day in Las Vegas.

Chicago — Today R. Kelly dropped his first album in two years, Untitled, and he's still coming with those eyebrow-raising lyrics.

"Until I met this girl in the club with a unbelievable booty/ Sweetest girl in the world to me, and on top of that she's a cutie/ If I had a girl, she'd be the one to bare my child."
Tyrese, Robin Thicke and The-Dream are all featured on the song.
