A Couple Of Worthwhile Moments
MovieGuy-1092419 May 2019
This is a cute movie, not a classic, but with a couple of interesting and funny moments. Paolo Stoppa and the actress who plays his youngest daughter were the most interesting characters. It's called The Girls of Today, but it deals with the age old problem of whether it's preferable to marry for love or for money. The movie seems to try to make the point that having money makes you weak, pursuing money leads to immorality, and that being poor builds character. The movie isn't as deep as that, but those are the underlying themes. I thought that it was worth watching. There were a couple of laughs and a couple of surprises. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.
