In January 1960 this film was widely shown in drive-in theaters on a double bill with The Diary of a High School Bride (1959).
Special Effects man Paul Blaisdell recycled two monster costumes: the outfit from The She-Creature (1956) and the alien head from Invasion of the Saucer Men (1957).
In the end, the monster removes its head to reveal the real Paul Blaisdell, who had constructed the suit and performed in it. This would be the final appearance of Blaisdell in a feature film.
Both the Model T with the white top and the Buick-powered dragster in the back with Tommy Ivo were owned by Ivo and used in the movie. He was a well-established professional drag racer at the time of this movie, known as "TV" Tommy Ivo.
The first reference to the "ghost" in the title is at 40 minutes into the 64 minute film.
