The PBS TV version has cut 18 songs from what was originally seen in the theaters in 1965, but the DVD (Home Video) version has the complete show, including the 2010 restored performances of The Beach Boys.
John Landis, David Cassidy, and their entire 7th-grade junior high school class attended the concert, as one of their classmate's father was one of the producers. (According to Landis in his commentary for the original trailer on the Shout Factory DVD.)
Due to a rights dispute, The Beach Boys footage was deleted from all prints after the initial theatrical run, though they can still be seen onstage with the other performers during the finale.
