Sex & Nudity

  • Sodom's decadence, including what appears to be bestiality with a goat and some partial nudity of its residents.
  • Brief far away nudity (lighting is very dark and depending how good your eyes are) during Adam and Eve being created. There are a couple of rear ends visible from a far distance.
  • Its implied that a woman sleeps with a man.
  • Abram and Sarai cuddle and being loving to each other (but no sex)
  • Abraham circumcised his son, baby's private parts shown very briefly.
  • Abraham wears nothing but a towel on his lap.

Violence & Gore

  • Cain's murder of Abel (the first murder ever), we see the dead Abel and Cain has blood on his hands. God marks him with a black scar in his forehead, and Adam and Eve bury Abel in grief.
  • The children of Cain stab at something, possibly a human, as a sacrifice for idols. We see the motion, but nothing in detail.
  • Noah is mocked by tribal-looking people with animal skull regalia. The Great Flood wipes out all the living things in the earth, save Noah, his family, and the animals on the ark. Nothing violent, other than the thundering.
  • The crashing of the scaffolds on the Tower of Babel, not too graphic. Nimrod shoots an arrow towards the sky.
  • Abraham fights with the armies that captured Lot, his brother's son.
  • A mushroom cloud-like destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and we see Lot's wife turn into a pillar of salt. Everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah dies, but the movie implies that.
  • Abraham is about to sacrifice his son, Isaac, towards the end. We see a snake crawl out of a child's skull.
  • Abraham has a vision that requires him to "divide" animals, and we see the carcasses with blood on a stone altar.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This film is about/contains religious material without context nor rebuttal which would be considered shocking and offensive to non-religionists. Cain killing Abel, the Great Flood of Noah's time, the Tower of Babel's meancing uproar and confusion, Lot threatened by Sodom's residents, Abraham about to sacrifice his son Isaac towards the end.
