Episode three of AMC’s Tales of the Walking Dead is all about a familiar face. Fans of The Walking Dead get a glimpse into Alpha’s past before she became the leader of The Whisperers.
The episode opens with Brooke (Lauren Glazier) getting ready for what appears to be a night at a fancy restaurant. After getting dressed, she’s standing on the stern of a riverboat when a young girl, Lydia (Scarlett Blum), shows up and proudly shows off her dress.
Lydia’s mom, Dee (Samantha Morton), is next on the scene and Brooke struggles to compliment her dress. Dee’s very uncomfortable playing dress-up in these circumstances and wonders if this dinner is a good idea. Brooke assures her that...

Studiocanal have released a brand-new restoration of director Michael Winner’s 1963 classic crime drama, West 11. Starring Alfred Lynch, Kathleen Breck (The Three Musketeers), Eric Portman along with the inimitable Diana Dors, this sympathetic study of rootless drifters filmed on location in Notting Hill will be available to own on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital platforms now… and you can win a copy of the film on Blu-ray by answering the question below:
Michael Winner’s foray into British Social realism sees an authentic portrayal of the grittier, darker side of West London in the 60s. In Notting Hill’s jazz club, coffee bar and bedsit land of the early 1960s, Joe Beckett (Alfred Lynch) is a young unemployed misfit and drifter whose life takes a turn for the worse when he encounters Richard Dyce (Eric Portman), an ex-army officer. Dyce persuades Beckett it will be in his interests to bump off...

We are just weeks away from the return of The Walking Dead Season 10.
AMC has dropped the trailer for the six bonus episodes, and we have a lot of questions.
We'll start with Maggie because these will be her first episodes back as a series regular.
It's clear from the trailer that Negan being free is a lot for her to process.
"He asked how his daddy died," Maggie tells Daryl in the trailer of Hershel.
"I told him a bad man killed him. And he wanted to know if that man got what he deserved."
This will undoubtedly make things complicated, considering Negan just saved everyone from The Whisperers.
It's hard to imagine Maggie being able to co-exist in an environment with him.
Speaking of Negan, the trailer shows a leather jacket and red scarf clad Negan tapping on the floor with his trusty bat Lucille while demanding, "Little pig,...

Ever since Lauren Cohan announced she was returning to The Walking Dead, fans have wondered how she would react to Negan not being a prisoner.
If you watch The Walking Dead online, you know Maggie attempted to kill Negan because he killed Glenn and several other people.
In a pivotal moment, Maggie decided to allow Negan to live with his actions for the rest of his days, conceding that killing him would be the easy way out.
Maggie then left everyone behind and went on a mission to help emerging communities flourish.
Cohan's first episode back was The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 16, but she did not get to spend any time with Negan.
In a new video released by the show's social media channels, the cast of The Walking Dead take part in a socially distanced table read for an episode titled "Home Sweet Home."

After a Covid-induced delay, viewers finally witnessed the conclusion to The Whisperer War on “The Walking Dead.” Episode 16, “A Certain Doom,” brought an end to Beta (Ryan Hurst) and The Whisperers, but left plenty of dangling threads for fans to ponder. As we look forward to the six newly announced episodes that will be added to Season 10, let’s theorize about the show’s five biggest unanswered questions below.

Fans cheered when Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) made her grand return to the series. She arrived just in time to save Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) from being sliced and diced, but viewers are still scratching their heads over her companion. She had a lieutenant by her side wielding Japanese kama blades, with his face shielded by a metal mask.

For the first time since the show debuted in 2010, The Walking Dead will miss its usual October premiere date. Delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have forced AMC to push back the premiere of The Walking Dead season 11 to 2021.
In the new season’s place, AMC will instead air the season 10 finale, the episode titled “A Certain Doom,” on Oct. 4, followed by six “extra” season 10 episodes in early 2021. At the moment, it’s unclear what exactly those six new episodes will be about, although the fact that they’re a continuation of the season suggests that these will be formed out of unused footage from the season 10 shoot. AMC hasn’t gone into detail about these episodes yet, though.
Fortunately, the network is already on the move when it comes to season 11, which now has a production start date. AMC CEO Josh Sapan confirmed during an earnings call (via THR...

The Walking Dead hasn’t made such an impact on pop culture for just being another zombie show. Instead, its success has largely come from its ability to make us care about the bevy of characters it’s introduced over the past decade, always giving us a reason to tune in each week in hopes of seeing the next piece of our favorite survivor’s story arc. Of course, this means we’ve all become equally invested in the romantic relationships these folks have engaged in, and in doing so, we’ve learned that those relationships can quickly come to an end at any moment at the hands of a zombie or human villain.
For instance, the world was crushed by season 7’s horrifying premiere when then-villain Negan bashed in the heads of beloved characters Glenn and Abraham, the former of which left Maggie a pregnant widow who was forced...

AMC’s The Walking Dead is no stranger to introducing compelling new characters each season. The cast has grown from being a small group of survivors to a massive collection of unique and memorable people who occupy various settlements within the show’s canon. While not every character is as important to the larger plot of the series, they all serve as meaningful reminders that society is thriving again and that the world Rick began to rebuild will continue to grow and prosper.
Then again, not every character introduced on The Walking Dead is a good guy with a goal of reforming society. In fact, the show’s villains remain some of the most interesting figures introduced on the program, such as Alpha and Beta from the current antagonistic group The Whisperers, The Governor from seasons 3 and 4, and everyone’s favorite scoundrel, Negan.

The Walking Dead had a lot of scheduling matters to attend to during its appearance at this year’s Comic-Con@Home. The franchise needed to announce release dates for The Walking Dead season 10 finale (Done), Fear the Walking Dead season 6 (Done), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (Done), to go along with some clarification as to what will happen with The Walking Dead season 11 (Done).
Amid all those anticipated announcements, however, came one unexpected bit of news. The long-awaited Walking Dead season 10 finale won’t actually be the finale. For, come early 2021, season 10 will be receiving six extra episodes. While this is certainly exciting news for The Walking Dead fans, it does raise some more questions…namely: what on Earth are those extra six episodes about?

The Walking Dead has had a colorful cast of villains throughout its 10 seasons so far, including such nemeses as season 3 and 4’s The Governor and season 9 and 10’s bad guy group The Whisperers, led by the now-deceased Alpha and her right-hand-man Beta. These unique baddies have been compelling to watch, but none have impacted the show in such a meaningful way as the beloved scoundrel Negan, who turned up in season 6 to kill off two popular characters and wreak havoc on Rick and his group for two more seasons. And according to the man who plays said character, the series would be a lot less lively without him.
During the Comic-Con@Home panel for The Walking Dead, a question was posed about how the show might have changed if Rick and Michonne had killed off Negan at the end of season 8, where the former chooses to save the villain and...

After four long months, The Walking Dead season 10 episode 16 finally has a return date.
As promised, AMC revealed the release date for the long-awaited Walking Dead season 10 finale during the show’s Comic-Con@Home panel. The final episode will air at 9 p.m. Et on October 4, 2020. That will be followed by the series premiere of spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond at 10 p.m. Et.
In a surprising turn of events, the season 10 finale that will air in October won’t technically be the final episode of the season, which is getting six “extra” episodes in early 2021. When The Walking Dead‘s season 10 finale was delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, it left many fans aching for news on how the multi-season arc with The Whisperers would finally pay off. With Alpha dead and Beta reigning as the leader of the group, episode 15 ended on quite a cliffhanger, and all we know for the time being is that the show will hopefully return sometime this fall to offer us closure. After such a long wait though, most of us are hoping for some genuinely world-changing events from the finale, and now we may have an idea of some of the cool stuff that’s to come when it finally airs.

The Walking Dead fans have been waiting a long time now for the season 10 finale. It was supposed to drop back in April, but the pandemic forced AMC to pull it from schedules due to post-production work being interrupted. Three months later and we’ve still yet to get a new air date for it, even if AMC has one behind the scenes. In lieu of that, then, at least showrunner Angela Kang has offered up some fresh teases at what we can expect from the episode, titled “A Certain Doom.”

In an outtake from the show, shared by Entertainment Weekly, the EP talked about where things are at on Twd. First off, she recapped where we left things in the penultimate installment, “The Tower.”

The Walking Dead universe is one of the most grounded takes on the zombie genre around, focusing more on the struggles of a band of survivors trying to make it through a post-apocalyptic world alive than the zombies themselves. This includes not even naming the zombies zombies. As fans will know, “walkers” is the traditional term used for the undead in the series. Although, other groups and individuals separate from Rick Grimes’ community have different names for them, including Biters, Creepers, Lurkers and, as per the Whisperers, Guardians.
But why is the word zombie a no-go for both the show and the original comic books? Well, creator Robert Kirkman has previously revealed the answer. He’s explained that The Walking Dead exists in a world where zombies were never a pop culture craze. In the real world, George Romero’s classic of the Dead movies were what started the modern...

The Walking Dead‘s quality may have waned during seasons 6-8, but there is hardly any denying that the presence of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) during the All Out War storyline injected a surprising amount of wit, humor, and charisma to an otherwise bleak show. However, some people had mixed emotions regarding his introduction, and one unexpected person has finally opened up about his feelings on the matter.
Negan rarely displayed deep emotion early on, choosing to use his bat, Lucille, to show people how he felt about a situation. This was made very obvious from his first appearance on the series in the season 6 finale when the final seconds of the episode saw him take Lucille and bash in an unknown character’s head. There are few moments in the history of television as jarring and heartbreaking as the The Walking Dead‘s season 7 premiere deaths. Following the season 6 finale’s agonizing cliffhanger, the next season’s opener took a nightmarish turn as Negan – played by the charismatic Jeffrey Dean Morgan – killed not one but two of the show’s most beloved characters, Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun), in the goriest and most gut-wrenching way.
Those watching during the horrendous killings will likely remember a rare moment of levity though when Abraham uttered his now-famous final words, “suck my nuts.” In the show, Negan responded by mocking and laughing at Abraham’s defiant remark in the classic way that only he can. Obviously, Abraham’s attempt to show no fear did nothing to stop the brutal bashing of his skull, and though it’s now an uncomfortable memory for most of us,...

Season 10 of “The Walking Dead” has seen its share of bloodshed. Beloved veterans like Siddiq (Avi Nash) were shockingly eliminated, and new faces like Mary (Thora Birch) met their end just as viewers grew to love them. Just two episodes remain in this action packed season, which will feature The Whisperers on the move with a gargantuan zombie horde. That means more character exits are inevitable and it’s time for another “Walking Dead” death watch. These are the most likely characters to die before the season wraps.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 12
In the earlier incarnations of The Walking Dead, the show made big, bold moves, whether they fit with the continuity of the comic book or not. Owing to instability behind the scenes, and actors wishing to move onto other work, The Walking Dead was no stranger to killing off major characters when it fit the story they were trying to tell.
There were no helicopter flights to nowhere or van trips with Georgie; people died, and usually in horrible ways. Some of these deaths were expected—some actors with expiring contracts were pretty certainly doomed by season’s end due to acrimony with producers—and others were huge surprises; generally, it felt like no one was off limits, except for a few characters who ended up dead or off the show in later seasons for reasons that ended...

AMC’s zombie apocalypse drama “The Walking Dead,” based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, burst onto our television screens in 2010 and has been a ratings juggernaut ever since. Over the past decade the show has experienced both creative highs and unfortunate lows, with some seasons being must-see-tv and others being rather forgettable. Tour our photos above to see all of “The Walking Dead” seasons ranked from worst to best. Does your personal number one choice match ours?
10. Season 7
It was great to expand the world of the show by introducing The Kingdom and Oceanside. But the series felt the need to really marinate in the doom and gloom of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham’s (Michael Cudlitz) murders at the top of the season. Season 7 is largely defined by a sense of helplessness against the threat of The Saviors and it quickly grew tiresome as each episode only presented more of the same.

You don't mess with Alpha's horde and expect to live to tell the tale.
The Whisperers arrived at the Hilltop on The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 11, and it was a pulse-pounding installment from start to finish.
What could have been a straightforward battle between the skin freaks and the Hilltop was so much more.
Alpha has shown that she is not opposed to flipping the script when necessary, but the decision to block everyone, including the kids in, clearly came from Negan.
It was reminiscent of the heroes trying to escape before Glenn and Abraham were murdered on The Walking Dead Season 6.
Together, these two villains bring a lot to the table, and they could make what's left of the world their oyster. It's a worrying thought, but I'm not buying Negan turning his back on everyone.
Granted, he was made a pariah for his part in past horrors, but...

Dread is in the air on “The Walking Dead.” The Whisperers drain tree sap into strange molds. Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) dons a new zombie skin mask and helps lead The Whisperers’ horde on a march to war. Hilltop is the target and its citizens have no idea just how unrelenting the enemy will be. When Lydia (Cassady McClincy) arrives with a wounded Daryl (Norman Reedus) she offers a stern warning: “You can’t go out there. My mother is coming.” Is this the end of Hilltop? Dive into the Top 5 moments of Season 10, Episode 11, “Morning Star,” as the community prepares for battle.
Fight or Flight
Mary’s (Thora Birch) presence ignites tensions at Hilltop, with Earl (John Finn) refusing to let her see the nephew he is now raising as his own child. Earl is aggressively in favor of defending his home against The Whisperers when others advocate for fleeing.

Daryl (Norman Reedus) makes it back to Hilltop after his near fatal encounter with Alpha (Samantha Morton), but he faces a chilly reception. “You’ve gotta find our people man,” demands Luke (Dan Fogler) in a chastising tone. It’s been at least a day since the cave explosion and the fates of Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and Magna (Nadia Hilker) are still unknown. Tune into AMC this Sunday for the Premiere Of ” Ride With Norman Reedus” And An All New Walking Dead
The Walking Dead Season 10 continues on Sunday, March 8th at 9:00 p.m. Et/Pt on AMC. In Sunday’s all-new episode, “Morning Star,” the Whisperers are coming for Hilltop. After Daryl and Lydia’s encounter with Alpha, the communities must decide whether to run or fight. Meanwhile, Eugene’s communication with Stephanie gets complicated. The second half of The Walking Dead season 10 began with many of our survivors trapped. Some in the confines of a cave filled with walkers, while others were caught in a spiral of suspicion and grief. All orchestrated at the hand of Alpha, who continues to prove the Whisperers are always watching, and one step ahead of the communities. Which includes the potentially deadly threat of having added Negan to their ranks. Through this conflict and all they’ve lost, a few still hold onto hope, especially Eugene, who believes the mysterious voice he spoke...

After an explosive mid-season return, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” begins its 10th episode of the season with an ominous cold open. Whisperer heavy hitter Beta (Ryan Hurst) slinks to an abandoned Rv in a field, where a secret door in the floorboards reveals an entrance to a vast network of underground tunnels. The villain marches through the underground caverns and it’s unclear what the masked man has planned. As this episode reveals, The Whisperers are even more cunning than ever anticipated. These are the five most tense moments of “Stalker.”
Prisoner
Rosita (Christian Serratos) awakes from a nightmare in a cold sweat. She can’t shake visions of Whisperers trying to kill her baby. So she is not happy to be summoned to Alexandria’s gate where Gamma (Thora Birch) is turning herself in. Gamma lets everyone know that the group who went hunting for the zombie herd are in trouble,...

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers from Sunday’s episode of “The Walking Dead”
Several “Walking Dead” fans expressed their disgust over a sex scene between Negan and Alpha that aired on Sunday night’s episode of the long-running zombie drama.
In the scene, the two characters, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Morton, are about to get intimate — but first, they have to discuss one rather grotesque fashion choice on Alpha’s part.
The tryst, which takes place in the woods, is an effort on Alpha’s part to reward Negan for helping to identify a potential spy. She tells him to undress, and when he turns around, she is also in the nude — except for her Whisperer mask, which is made out of human skin.

“The Walking Dead” Season 10 went on hiatus after a major cliffhanger left several beloved characters in grave danger. If the months spent away from the apocalyptic series has you scratching your head wondering who survived the twists and turns of this season, fear not! These five events contain every murder and mystery you need to know before “The Walking Dead” returns for its mid-season premiere, “Squeeze,” on Sunday, February 23 on AMC.
Double-crossing Dante
The biggest twist of the season was the discovery that Dante (Juan Cavier Cardenas) was a Whisperer spy. The mole successfully infiltrated Alexandria as a doctor and sabotaged the town’s water supply. And just as poor Siddiq (Avi Nash) put together the pieces, Dante overpowers and strangles him to death. Rosita (Christian Serratos) walks in on the crime scene a minute too late, but thankfully beats the hell out of Dante. She also must put down...

A new TV spot for The Walking Dead season 10B features an easily-missed connection to Lauren Cohan’s Maggie Rhee. The character has been absent from the series since halfway through season 9, with Maggie explained as having gone with her son to aid Georgie in setting up a new community someplace far away. The real-life reason for her exit though was so that Cohan could star in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier. With that cancelled after one season, however, it was announced last year that the actress will return as a regular for season 11.
Not only that, but it’s also known that Cohan is extremely likely to drop by in a guest role somewhere in these remaining episodes of season 10. This small nod to the former Hilltop leader could be teasing her reappearance, then.

The long winter break for AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is nearly over and we have just gotten a look at the final trailer for the last eight episodes of season ten. We can definitely see that the war between Alexandria and The Whisperers is getting more and more heated and Michonne has once again taken up arms. She definitely looks ready for an all-out war! The eight remaining episodes of season ten will see the departure of Danai Gurira, better known as Michonne, from the series, so we are only left to wonder just what the outcome of this battle will be, however, if Judith’s tears in the trailer are any indication things might not have ended so well for Michonne. The writers have not yet revealed whether or not they are planning to kill off Michonne’s character or leave her fate in the air much as...

The Walking Dead finally returns this month for the second half of its tenth season and much of the marketing for season 10B has focused on the continuing threat of Alpha and her Whisperers and how it could intensify in the coming episodes. And this choice of clip is no different.

Writer/director/actor Bryan Forbes was a major force in the British film industry for several decades, having started in the 1950s at times as an actor in films and then in other instances as a screenwriter, and then he moved into directing. Forbes made several good pictures, the most famous probably being The Stepford Wives in the 70s.
Forbes also had connections to the world of James Bond. Forbes’ first screenwriting duties were for Albert R. Broccoli’s Warwick Films in the 1950s. When Forbes began writing novels, his literary agent was none other than Peter Janson-Smith, who had been Ian Fleming’s agent. It's the time of the year where we give thanks for the good things in our lives.
And those good things include TV shows, well-developed and strong characters, healthy relationships, good plotlines, and more!
Here's some of what TV Fanatic is thankful for in 2019 (in no particular order).
Malcolm Jamal Warner's Aj Austin & Minator on The Resident
Aj has come such a long way on The Resident and digging into his background has been such a beautiful experience. Warner brings so much heart to this lovable, arrogant, complex teddy bear of a character.
And yeah, everyone enjoys talking about CoNic, but Minator has been quietly stealing their thunder as this endearing slow-burn ship that makes you giggly. -- Jasmine
Elite
Elite came back on Netflix for a second season that was just as compelling and twisted as the first season. It's one of the more fun binge-watching series that Netflix has to offer.

Before he was Sam “Porter” Bridges, he was Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead‘s gruff, hard-nut survivor who quickly became a favorite amongst fans.
Even now, almost a decade after the show’s debut, and Norman Reedus’ character is still regarded as a bona fide mainstay. And while that may be true, one can’t help but wonder: why hasn’t Daryl indulged in a romantic relationship while roaming the zombie-ridden wasteland of post-apocalyptic America?
It likely has something to do with the whole ‘zombie-ridden wasteland,’ but when asked straight-up about Daryl’s love life (or lack thereof), series showrunner Angela Kang told Entertainment Weekly that Norman Reedus’ fan-favorite is “just not wired that way.” Mostly due to his traumatic past.

Whisperers are scary but the dead remain a threat in this clip from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 4 "Silence the Whisperers."
The dead skin enthusiast group, The Whisperers, remain the biggest threat to our crew on The Walking Dead. But just because the Whisperers have Alpha dog status (see what we did there?) doesn't mean that the boring old walking dead can't still cause some damage.
As evidenced in this exclusive new clip from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 4 "Silence the Whisperers," fighting the dead is exhausting work. Watch below as Yumiko, Magna, Connie, Nora, and Luke all use their respective weapons of choice to defend Hilltop Colony against a horde of walkers.
Now that The Walking Dead is several years into the zombie apocalypse, bullets are at a premium and the survivors use a range of ranged and melee weapons against all foes. In this Avengers-style splash page of a scene,...

Alpha, thus far, has been a character that's been dripped out in small doses along the course of The Whisperers arc. She's been present, and she's been in charge, but very little is known about how she pulled the group together.
All that's been on screen is how she escaped from her initial survivor group as told by an unreliable narrator in Lydia. The story kept changing until the truth eventually came out, despite Alpha's best efforts to brainwash her daughter into compliance. But how did Alpha transition into wearing the skin of the dead as camouflage and how did she gather up a group of like-minded survivors remains a mystery, save for one key follower,...

After suffering tremendous loss at the hands of The Whisperers, “The Walking Dead” leaps forward a few months to show how the survivors are coping with their losses. AMC’s hit series has experienced a slew of cast and location changes over the years, and Season 10 looks to once more alter the dynamics of the apocalypse. These are the top five way the Season 10 premiere “Lines We Cross” changes the game a decade into the apocalypse.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 1
During the brief window of time between The Walking Dead season 9 and season 10, I worked on an article highlighting the best in television and streaming horror series. One of the shows highlighted was a solid zombie drama called Black Summer, about the world slowly crumbling under the weight of a growing zombie menace. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's a taut thriller with some new wrinkles on a pretty standard idea, thanks in no small part to being a little more formally daring than the average zombie series.
The opening episode of The Walking Dead season 10, “Lines We Cross,” feels like something different than the show, particularly in its use of chyron to divide the episode into semi-self-contained segments.

The Walking Dead may be about to end ... for good!
Twitter account @TSubtitulo is claiming that the AMC juggernaut is about to conclude with its upcoming tenth season.
While this is far from official, the same Twitter account has been accurate about a myriad of other TV-related news over the years.
More recently, it reported that Santa Clarita Diet was canceled weeks before Netflix made the official announcement.
As such, this report should be taken with a pinch of salt, but we wouldn't be posting this if we thought the source was untrustworthy.
Ending the series, however, would be surprising given that despite ratings erosion it is still a monster hit for the network, pulling in better numbers than the majority of scripted TV on the broadcast networks.
