"I'm madly mod and you're old fashioned"

Warning: Spoilers
Superhero Flashman (aka Lord Alex Burman who seems to be a pal of Her Majesty The Queen) deals with counterfeiters, a wealthy Maharajah and villains who have stolen a serum that will make themselves invisible. Which hardly covers everything that happens. The story wanders around to little effect. Paolo Gozlino as Flashman runs around in a fancy dress costume which looks sillier every time he dons it. In support are a bland cast and Jack Ary as the comic Scotland Yard inspector Baxter is really annoying. He has the same burst of music when he always appears which is also annoying. In the film's favour it has colourful exterior locations and looks decent in 'Cromoscope' and 'Tecnostampa'. It's colourful but not that thrilling.

Rambling poor Italian film
entomol7120 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Flashman finds out about a serum, discovered by an English doctor, which make people invisible. Kid take possession of a serum before Flashman does and makes himself and Helen invisible in order to wrest money from an influential emir. The timely interposition of Flashman has the stolen money recovered; but the emir is killed.

This is a ghastly Italian science fiction with a rambling and not clear plot. Flashman who has his base in London, goes in to action with an absurd dressing-up: a mantle like the one of Superman and a mask like the one of Batman. But these two respectable strip cartoons carachters and Flashman have nothing in common. In fact Flashman, is an odd and clumsy character and in some scenes he is taken with an accelerated speed. This film is played by secondary actors, hidden under false American names. I think this is the worst film of its genre. There are some Italian production like "agente 007 dall'oriente con furore" and "rapporto Fuller base Stoccolma", which are an imitation of 007 English films: although they cannot compete with them, they are better than this one. Although the lenght declared by IMDb is 96 minutes, the commercial DVD lasts 89 minutes.

Not good

Warning: Spoilers
Ernesto Gastaldi has written so many movies that we love, from The Whip and the Body, The Possessed and Day of Anger to All the Colors of the Dark, Casablanca Express, Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key and Death Walks On High Heels. Oh man! I feel like with his resume I'm leaving so many out, so please, look up all of his films and don't judge him by this one. You won't be sorry.

Mino Loy directed Fury in Marrakesh and lots of mondo like Sexy Magico, Supersexy '64 and Mondo Sexuality before this movie, which is between Adam West Batman and Eurospy, with a funky costumed hero and lots of guitar on the soundtrack.

Will his flashing power be enough to battle a group of models led by Claudie Lange and the thugs with invisibility abilities and lvano Staccioli as the boss? Sure. I mean, you have to love a movie where Italians make Batman and decide that he should be a dandy Englishman named Lord Alex Burman.

That said, in no way is this a good movie. I want it to be, the poster tells me that it will be, but it isn't.
