Ingrid Pitt's first lead role. She described her character as "an old man's darling having naughties with the gardener and getting my come-uppance when I got plastered with some luminous paint which was doubling as a monster." She said it was a cheapo movie but done quite beautifully.
During an interview, Ingrid Pitt said the location was pretty harsh. One time while filming a scene in a pond in the Philippines, she came out covered in leeches. The assistant director ran over and Pitt stripped off her swimsuit in front of the cast and crew so he could burn the leeches off with a lit cigarette. She joked it was lucky she wasn't modest about being naked in front of people or she would have been in real trouble. She remembered everyone standing close by watching as the assistant director helped her. She imagined every guy there wanted to rush in and join him.
Ingrid Pitt was asked to join the cast by producer/director W. Lee Wilder after having lunch one day where she told him she was having a hard time finding roles. He explained it was very low budget but she accepted it hoping for her break. The film wasn't a hit but it did lead to better opportunities.
