DULL COURTROOM DRAMA
mmthos28 October 2020
Xcpt when the accused freaks out from time to time, not enough to sit thru the rest of the boredom.

Only watched to see Terence Hill ("Trinity" "My Name is Nobody") in dramatic role. Does well enough, but, other than the actress who plays the accused, everyone here's just going thru the motions of stock court functionaries.

Hope to find something interesting to see if TH ever got to flex his dramatic skills as he did so extraordinarily comically in "Nobody"

italian justice -- minor spoiler
ksf-221 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Minor spoiler ** in italy, the true and the false. Here in the U. S. it's the hassled hooker. When norma's body is found in a house fire, the cops are pretty sure she was already dead when the house burned. Marty balsam is the DA, who puts luisa (paola pitagora) away for the murder. But even one of the witnesses says she saw norma walking around just the other day. So she can't be dead. The plot thickens. Just after luisa gets out of prison.... norma is shot dead. In rome. And luisa, the most likely suspect, has already served a prison sentence for killing norma. It's a game of cat and mouse between luisa's lawyer manin (terence hill, italian born mario girotti) and the DA. At 57 minutes, there's about a minute or two of dialogue in italian, but other than that, the english dubbing is quite good. Will all the truth be brought to light? Is this illustration of italian court be more realistic than an episode of perry mason? Directed by eri visconti.

Hey honey, get me a STRONG coffee...

For the VERY curious only. The movie is basically a slow courtroom drama with no big surprises. The only fun you'll get is watching Terence Hill acting 100% serious throughout a film. Good use of flashbacks keeps things moving a bit. Not an incompetent movie, but one that just never takes flight.
