A good Hill/Spencer romp
rotters24624 November 2004
Along the comedy/action lines of the "Trinity" and "Nobody" series of films.

Another successful joining of Terence Hill and Bud Spencer in what has become their trademark light-hearted he-men with the heart of gold. A family favourite in my household, and has a very infectious theme song (Dune Buggy, by Oliver Onions - don't say I didn't warn you).

Watch Out We're Mad has the beautifully choreographed fight scenes one comes to expect with the Hill/Spencer movies, and the 'Beer & Hot dog contest' are reminiscent of the earlier movies, too.

Bud Spencer is brilliant as the tobacco intolerant heart of gold 'Ben', and Terence Hill as the eager 'Kid'. The only disappointment is the somewhat wooden acting of Donald Pleasance as the bad guy bosses psychiatrist.

If you enjoy the Hill/Spencer mix of comedy, action, gluttony and irony, this film is a must see

Enjoyable Hill-Spencer movie with loads of action , fights and amusement
ma-cortes17 October 2011
Likable Terence Hill and stocky Bud Spencer team up again in this co-production Spaniard-Italian as the valiant and sympathetic duo Kid and Ben against totally evil bad guys. Two charming friends (Terence Hill and Bud Spencer) but rivals participate in a race whose prize is a fancy mini-car . They tie in a car crash race to win a red dune buggy . During Kid and Ben's hotdog and beer contest , to see who will keep the the dune buggy, various hoodlums of a local mobster named the Boss (John Sharp) demolishes and destroys the bar and their car . After that , the duo goes to visit the Boss and his helper (Donald Pleasence) . Kid and Ben want vendetta and the replacement of their red buggy with a yellow top . Meanwhile , Terence Hill falls in love with a circus artist (Patty Shepard) and they are chased by a cold killer (Manuel De Blas) hired by the mobs . Of course, along the way they will combat thieves ,thugs and criminals .

The 'big time' duo of Spaghetti Western with humor such as ¨They call me Trinity¨, ¨ Trinity is still my name ¨ and sequels as ¨Troublemakers¨ were run out and for that reason are transfered in modern era film , playing the police/action genre and adventures as ¨All the way boys¨ also titled ¨Plane crazy¨ and this one . After that , they starred the successful ¨ Miami police series ¨, which belong the following : ¨Crime Busters¨ , ¨Superfuzz¨ and ¨supercops in Miami¨. The movie contains silly comedy , the usual slight fights and lots of action including some motorcycle pursuits with a funny tournament , entertaining struggles in a gymnasium and a fun ball in a saloon . Although there are a few gaps ,especially the overuse of fist fights with punches , bounds and leaps and a quarter-hearted attempt at romance, it remains very amusing .The humor is based on physical and personality differences of the starring , as Terence Hill is the sympathetic and brave hero and Bud Spencer is the corpulent and hunk man. As always several humorous struggles with no blood , neither violence . Enjoyable performance by Donald Pleasence , a veteran British actor with a long and prestigious career ; furthermore , being a co-production Spanish-Italian appears several Spanish actors as Luis Barbero as the old garage owner , Emilia Laguna as the musical conductor and Manuel De Blas as the silent murderer . Acceptable cinematography by Zavattini filmed in Madrid , Spain .Commercial musical score by the usual Guido and Maurizio De Angelis -Oliver Onions- , including catching songs fitting perfectly in the mood of the movie and you won't be able to get the catchy theme leitmotif out of your head.

The motion picture is professionally directed by Marcello Fondato, following the Hill-Spencer ordinary trademarks . Fondato wrote several Spencer vehicles as ¨Bulldozer¨, ¨Aladino¨, ¨The Supersheriff¨, and ¨The sheriff and the extraterrestrial little boy¨ and directed him in ¨Mister Charleston¨. If you love the pair's other movies, go for it, and if you've never seen one this is a great start .

A Cult from Bud Spencer and Terence Hill
rubenmaria-soriquez11 January 2022
Two garage owners in Spain compete in a breathtaking rally and cross the finish line together. The prize, a red Dune Buggy with a yellow hood, goes to both of them. To decide which of the two should be the owner, they compete at "beers and sausages". Whoever eats the most, wins. But the restaurant, which is inside an amusement park, is devastated by a gang, sent by a gangster who aims to buy that land to build a skyscraper. And here is the first cult scene. While the restaurant is devastated Spencer and Hill continue to eat as if nothing had happened.

Finally they decide to change restaurants but when they leave, the gang causes the destruction of their Dune Buggy. The two are determined to ask for a new one from a childish Gangster, a rather colorful and funny character whose "advisor" is a German psychologist, a very comic character with a very strong accent, which incites him to be more and more evil.

We are not facing the best film of the Spencer / Hill couple but certainly this film has several good points, not least that of being highly entertaining thanks to the valuable action scenes, as well as thanks to a couple of scenes so successful that they have become immortal . It's not casual that a remake of this film is in the works. Some say that all Spencer-Hill films are the same. I cannot but disagree with these statements. Of course their films all follow the same formula (on the other hand convincing and winning), but it is a formula that gives space to interesting variations. But what is most relevant is that they are (unique) films that many have tried to replicate with little success. In fact, the success of the 18 films that see this duo in action is due to the alchemy between the two actors and the dynamics between their characters, which never tire the viewer and, indeed, become fixed in his imagination and settle into cult status.

The opening scene, a long rally race is something spectacular, with dozens of cars being destroyed (many of them by Hill and Spencer). The fight scenes are perfectly choreographed. Fast and effective, they leave ample room for Hill's exquisite acrobatics and amuses the fans who see Bud easily jump a horse (the exerciser, not a real horse) with an agility that you would not expect from a man of his size.

But the real gem of this film is the scene of Paganini the killer who never fails, which has remained famous as LA LA LA LA LA LA, grotesque and funny. It has become a cult scene that shines with its own light, independent of the film it is taken from. . The only flaw of the film is the romantic subplot (which obviously involves Terence Hill) not sufficiently developed and left like this, in mid-air. A film, however, worth watching, 1 hour and 41 minutes well spent.

Brilliant!!

This is a great film. A friend lent it to me, and I thought I probably wouldn't like it, but it turns out that I love it! It has everything: Side splitting scenes, like when they are singing in the choir ("Bwa-bwa-bwa!"), cheesy bad guys, retro fashion, a stylish bad guy, in the form of Paganini, and true friendship. I thought the fight scenes were amazingly well choreographed. 10 out of 10!

Maybe the best - and funniest - collaboration between Terence Hill and Bud Spencer
Leofwine_draca12 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I think I can safely say that WATCH OUT, WE'RE MAD is thus far the funniest of the many Terence Hill/Bud Spencer collaborations that I've been watching recently. This 1974 feature has a naturalistic flow to it, an anything-goes feel, and a running time absolutely packed to the brim with incident and laughs. There was often a sense in the later '80s pairings that the stars were merely doing it for the money and going through the motions, while the writers created lulls between the action scenes. Not so here.

WATCH OUT, WE'RE MAD is consistently entertaining from beginning to end and offers a perfect blend of comedy and action. The boys play buggy racers who fall foul of a British gangster played by John Sharp. They decide to get revenge on him, but this means going up against the bad guy's massive army of goons. Bizarrely, Donald Pleasence also has a supporting role as a Freudian psychologist, and his presence is the oddest thing about the production.

Otherwise, it's business as usual and Hill and Spencer are both a delight to watch, the latter in particular stealing his scenes with his constant deadpanning. Highlights include a great burning car gag, some hilarious jokes at a fairground, and an absolutely wonderful brawl at a gym, of all places. Latterly there's a battle in a room filled with balloons and a motorbike chase, even a bit of jousting. It tails off a bit at the end but that's only because so much has been going on before then.

One of the best films of Hill & Spencer
lcapote14 November 2004
In the concept of Hill&Spencer films, "Y si no, nos enfadamos" (Spanish title) is one of the funniest. Plot is designed specially for this actors, and they use all the tricks for they are best known. Unforgettable, the scene of the chorus (a.k.a. "pom pom pom / la la la)and the last battle in the balloons room. One interesting detail about this film is that it was filmed in Spain (more exactly in Madrid) and you can see many spanish support artist like Luis Barbero (well known in last years due to his character "Matías" in "Médico de Familia") or humorist Emilio Laguna (chorus director.) So you must watch this film... o si no, nos enfadamos ;)

Nicely done

Warning: Spoilers
"...altrimenti ci arrabbiamo!" tells the story of two opponents who win a dune buggy together and form an unlikely friendship trying to get it replaced by the villain who destroyed it in the first place.

I would argue that much of the charm of this movie actually originates from the fact that the main characters are not really heroes but simply want payback for their loss. Thus a story evolves with a certain comedic side to it because many of the actions seem so stunning and unbelievable from a logic perspective. In a way, this is relatable to other films such as "The Big Lebowski", where similar techniques are being used. Apart from that this is a rather typical Spencer/Hill film with lots of fighting and brave dialogues. It is not really artsy enough to stand out as a movie but it is masterfully entertaining.

All in all this is an innocent but great piece of entertainment that combines the strengths of its main actors with a clever script and has found a loyal audience throughout the generations.

Superb!
emilian779 July 2000
If you want to see a very funny and addictive action movie, you must watch this one... Here we have two rival wreck car racing pilots(Bud Spencer and Terence Hill), both very skilled, so skilled that after a tremendous race they finishes simultaneously... and together they wins a dune buggy, the prize for the winner. Naturally, each of them wants the buggy for himself, so the tough guys decides to bet the car in a "beer and beans" contest(!). But just when the "contest" starts, the bad ones, led by a megalomaniac rich man and his psychologist, destroy the dune buggy...... You can imagine the reaction of Spencer and Hill...

A remarkable scene: the one of the killer ("Paganini") in the auditorium.(A masterpiece!)

Mainly for kids.
gridoon10 November 2003
"Watch Out, We're Mad" has a slam-bang beginning, some good slapstick (especially the fight in the gym) and the occasional clever comic bits (check out Bud Spencer's reaction when he is ordered to get out of his buggy or the bad guys will have to "splat" it), but is hampered by the slow-moving, nearly non-existent plot and the tiresome overacting of the villains (which include a German-accented Donald Pleasence). By the way, you'd better like the theme song of this movie, because you're gonna be hearing it A LOT during its running time. (**1/2)

Fantastic !
Klautz15 September 2004
Closed action, humour to the maximum. A trick away the other, he works everything perfectly, there is nothing out of place ! Bud Spencer to the maximum of the form. Memorable sequences, from that of the game of the Lippa to the duel on bikes. Donald Pleasance funny in the part of the psychiatrist. But the top is the scene of the chorus: irresistible music and the couple engaged to escape from the killer. Phenomenal. The all one seasonned by an exceptional sound-track, compound from Guido and Maurizio De Angelis (Oliver Onions). Overall the mythical song "Dune Buggy" whose words have been written by director Marcello Fondato.

They're already Mad!!!
ChrisInMiami8 February 2022
It's hard to break down what makes the silliness of a Spencer & Hill movie fun but here's a try.

They have a charming nonsensical nature.

They have a vaudevillian physical comedy, a la the three stooges. They are able to capture the humor in other people's misery; the more frustrated the antagonists or protagonists become the more amused the audience is.

The love/hate buddy relationship Spence and Hill have perfected.

The plots are thin and transparent as cellophane but it's not about story it's about watching 2 grown men act as silly as possible. Certainly the production values are dated in an era where gross out comedies and family angst comedies rule supreme...but this particular film has some great sequences with motorcycle jousting, a gym fight and a ballroom brawl in a balloon pit... that's right a balloon pit. If you've never seen a Spencer/Hill and wanna give one a try then you should come 'n take a ride in this buggy.

The "golden age" of Bud and Terence
kalbun12 January 2004
This is, IMHO, the best film of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, almost matched by "Non c'è due senza quattro". A small accident causing an incredible series of events, a dummy bad boss surrounded by a gang of dummy bad bullies, a lot of fake violence, and an irresistible crescendo of gags up to the grand final at the bosses party... A movie belonging to Bud & Terence golden age, far before the two began to quarrel and broke the pair.

The scene at the firefighters' chorus in unforgettable 8-)

The Hunt for Red Buggy
Horst_In_Translation24 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
"...altrimenti ci arrabbiamo! " or "Watch Out, We're Mad" or "Zwei wie Pech und Schwefel" is a co-production between Italy and Spain from 1974, so this one is also moving closer to its 50th anniversary now. Maybe it happened already the day you are reading this review of mine if you take a little longer to get here. No doubt this film will still be on five years from now. Maybe even fifty. If you take a look at the awards recogntion this received, you will see two pretty prestigous awards from Germany. And this is really where Spencer and Hill were at their most successful. Certainly more successful than in English-speaking countries. Probably also more successful than in Italy as otherwise they probably would not have picked international aliases. So yeah, here were Hispanic people working on this movie in front of the camera and behind it and the film was also made in Spain, but at its core, this is a very Italian movie. And I say this as somebody who watched the German dub of course. Over 10k ratings here on imdb is actually also not too bad for a Spencer/Hill movie. It may not be a lot to others, but, as I said, they weren't famous in England or the United States and that of course keeps the number down. The director here was Marcello Fondato and he is also one of the many writers credited with this movie. This should not surprise anybody at all because writing was his main profession and he wrote approximately five times as many films compared to the number of movies he directed. And while he sometimes did some lighter stuff too like this one here (it's a really light movie for sure, even for a Spencer film), he did not work on many occasions with Pedersoli or Girotti. By the way, the three dots at the beginning of the title, the Italian title, are something that was done on other occasions too for Spencer/Hill movies. Sorry, you see I am talking about them a lot, but for good reason. They were very big stars here in Germany, especially Spencer, and people love their movies to this day. Here and there, we even get one shown at a movie theater. I watched one this year, not this one we have here though. Sorry, I am drifting a bit away now, so back to this one here. As for the supporting cast, we have other really established actors here. The one that caught my attention easily was a bearded Donald Pleasence (my favorite Blofeld). He does not have a gigantic amount of screen time, but he is easy to recognize. Just like in his Bond movie, he is an antagonist, but not the boss this time, but really a henchman if you want to call him that. He is almost too posh and vain for such a title. But at least he also gets beaten up apparently by the two protagonists, so maybe that qualifies him. The main antagonist is played by John Sharp. Memorable presence, but not familiar with the actor. But I suppose it mens something if he plays Pleasance's character's boss. A rookie actor never could. Then there are also de Blas and Shepard with the latter dying way too early. I mention those although I am not familiar at all because I see they were married in real life. She plays Hill's character's love interest in here. Nothing unusual. He often has very basic romance stories in his films, certainly more often than Spencer. If anything, then Spencer is the one who has to suffer from the consequences and here he sure does with the buggy being destroyed in the end because Hill's character did not look where his buddy was. By the way, the title song "Dune Buggy" here is from Oliver Onions. Incredibly catchy number. Very positive too. You will keep it in your head forever if you hear it. Pointless pop music, but lots of fun. Today's generation of recording artists can lear something from that. By the way, Oliver Onions contributed several times to Spencer movies, not just here.

So yeah, I already said that Spencer and Hill play characters in this film here who are buddies. Actually, very close friends and that is not too often the case with their films. Still they have a gigantic rivalry when it comes to racing because they are both among the best and also exactly on the same level as we find out here. So they have to share the prize and when they finally even have two buggies (ironically from the bad guys), then still something miserable happens and they are down to one again and have to fight for it. Or go up against each other on several occasions and the chaos starts anew. As for violence, it is kept light honestly The most dramatic moment was maybe during a chase sequence when one fella on a motorcycle crashes and we find out from another character that he broke his neck, so that he is dead most likely and even if the victim was one of his own men, the big (more physically than in terms of how capable he was) antagonist laughs like crazy and says something along the lines that it is better somebody breaks his neck then nobody breaks his neck, even if the affected is one of his men. Oookay? That was weird. Quite a psychopath he seemed also with how he was laughing. But maybe that was good for him because he was so fat and unfit that he did not even have to fight (and as a consequence) get beaten up by our two heroes. All his men do though. Okay, I already mentioned the motorcycle sequence where Hill's character really prevailed and he also showed some acobatic movies earlier I think when he and Spencer went up against a group of acrobats that belonged to the bad guy. So if Hill was ever remotely close to Bond, then it was in this movie. He was also first credit, but that was not an exception at all. People back then loved him as much as Spencer most of the time. Some maybe even preferred him if we are talking countries except Germany. Tough to blame them. Hill sure had the looks for a big career, especially with his bright blue eyes and it's for good reason that he was much more about romance in these films compared to Spencer and the characters he played. But I may be getting a bit too general right now. Let's focus more on this film again. What else can I add? The story was okay, certainly not worse than in other films starring the duo, but the best moments were probably again what they had to say and also some of the more action-heavy moments. I am referring to the punching here, not necessarily to the speed component. But yeah, fans of bikes and cars will really have a fun time here. Normally you do not see this much action and racing in Spencer/Hill movies. Here they are letting it all out. The sand and dust on the streets also reminded me a bit of the past from this duo, especially Hill, when they were in all kinds of western films before moving on to considerably lighter stuff in the 70s. Oh and I almost forgot about the silent assassin near the end with his violin and gun haha. Okay, that one with a more serious approach, could have been taken right out of a Bond movie. No doubt about it. But here it was all for the funs of course. He is supposed to be super competent, super reliable, never failed a job, but how he seems like a complete fool after getting all this money made it easy to believe that neither this film not this character could be taken seriously from any kind of perspective. But that is no negative criticism. Not at all. It delivers in many other areas and I personally had a great time watching here for sure. At least on some occasions. Most of the time, it was a good time I'd say. But maybe the film was closer to 4 stars out of 5 than to 2 stars out of 5. Which is always a good sign. By the way, this went for minimally over 100 minutes, although I am sure there is not only this one version out there. But the most common is minimally closer to 1.5 hours than to 2 hours. Oh and what was uup with that choir sequence that had Spencer's character sing. I know he liked singing and he also was not really bad at it, but still this was unexpected and a completely different brand of comedy. It was not bad though. Kinda dring, but still a success in my opinion. Oh and at the end of my review now, I shall also make a reference to the end of this movie, namely when they are crashing a party (in the truest sense of the word). Again with a car. Again some solid action, but again they kept it lightly. You can say it is for good reason that here we have a film starring Spencer and/or Hill that has the action genre attached to it on imdb. It was not often the case with these two. Comedy yes. Crime too. Western earlier as well. But action not too many times. And I see it positively although I do not really like this genre at all. Probably because it never felt as if it was about nothing but the action. The charm and fun was still there when they two were driving so quickly and we could hardley recognize their faces in these helmets. If you have not seen anything yet from this iconic duo we have here, then this movie is a good choice to start with. Fun characters, fun action, fun music, fun dialogues. Fun everywhere. Definitely recommended. Oh and by the way, the fact that in the end they stand up for a weaker character, a friend, being attacked by these bad guys, is also typical for characters played by Spencer and Hill. They used to stand up for those that mean something to them. Maybe that's why people love them to this day. Enough now. Go see this one. Dune Buggy *sing*

It does not stand the test of time
c_matschke28 November 2018
Where I lived, Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were legends in the Seventies. The crudeness of the humour was evident, but it didn't spoil the fun, on the contrary, it was the core of the value proposition. But this movie shares the fate of all movies starring Bud Spencer and Terence Hill: it has not aged well. From the perspective of a viewer in 2018, the silliness is boring instead of exhilarating. The stunts are mediocre. The story is as interesting as a user manual for a vacuum cleaner. And the action is slow, and I mean excruciatingly sloooooooooooow.

If you have fond memories of this movie, do yourself a favor: do not watch it again.

Missed it by THAT Much
krasnegar6 July 2000
Way way back in 1978, this film ran on our cable about two weeks before we got our first VCR. I've been looking for a copy ever since.

It may be the single best of the Hill/Spencer collaborations; wonderfully silly and harmlessly violent. Hill/Spencer films have always reminded me of the better Warner Bros. cartoon shorts -- as if the Wolf and the Sheep Dog interrupted their long-running battle of wits and teamed up to save the peaceful sheepherders from the evil cattlemen.

If you like slapstick humour that falls somewhere between Hope & Crosby, Laurel & Hardy and the Three Stooges, but more physical than any of those, this is a film you should see.

Watch Out! We're Mad! This film is brilliant!!!!!
hokeybutt7 June 2004
This movie is hysterically funny! It is by far the best of the Terence Hill/Bud Spencer oeuvre. For my money it even tops the Trinity movies! What is not to like about this movie? The pained, laconic expression on Spencer's face is a sure-fire laugh-getter every time! What about the terrific fight choreography? The fight in the gym was already good enough to put this film in the Slapstick Hall of Fame... but then they come up with the great finale with all the balloons! And the hot dog eating contests! And Oliver Onions singing "Dune Buggy"! And the incredible choir scene! With deep baritone Spencer inching his way over to the ladies' section and trying (unsuccessfully) to hit their high notes! This movie is pure genius!

There *are* many lame Spencer/Hill comedies out there... but this is definitely not one of them!

Warning: Spoilers
This film was very good and funny. I think guys like Terence and Bud are missing from action films today. The best thing about the film is of course Terence and Bud. They seem to be some nice guys who are in the middle of some trouble and manage to get out of it on their own. What I like about the fighting scenes in the film is that it is very easy to watch unlike films today where there are about 3 cuts per second or something. In the film the bad guys are stereotypes, a filthy mob boss, Nazi doctor and some stupid assistants who do everything wrong. And the good guys, always happy, do everything wright and are always happy, just the way it should be. But altogether this film was an action film at it's very best.

ONE OF MY TOP 3 FAVORITE MOVIES! THE BEST WITH BOTH TERENCE & BUD
Mark-37117 March 2000
I LOVE THIS FILM! IF THERE WAS ONE MOVIE I COULD KEEP OUT OF MY 200, I'D KEEP THIS ONE! The Plot : Kid and Ben are contestants in a race car derby so they can win the grand prize, on red dune buggy with a yellow top. They both cross the finish line at the same time. They dont know who is going to keep the Dune Buggy so they have the legandary Hotdog eating and Beer drinking contest in an Amusement Park. In the middle of the contest the mafia destroys the amusement park and they also wreck Kid and Bens Brand New Dune Buggy. They arent happy with this, so they try many ways to get a new dune buggy from the mob. They mob isnt happy so they hire a hit man name Paganini to kill both Kid and Ben! I'll stop here....I don't want to tell the end of the movie! Just go rent it....that will be hard for Americans because this movie isnt released there. The best scenes are Kid and Ben singing in the Choir, the jousting on motor cycles, and the fight in the gym and the fight at the Restaurant! Its too bad that many people dont like the fight humor in T+B films! I'd perfer these anyday to Hollywood type movies! People who dont understand these movies should lighten up and realise how funny they are! If you liked this movie i suggest these: 1. They call me trinity 2. trinity is still my name! 3. crime busters 4. odds and evens 5. Flatfoot (aka- Piedone lo Sbirro) W.O.W.M. gets a 9/10 !!!!!!!!

Definitely their best work
richardjp-172252 April 2018
This is without a doubt their finest movie. Laughs galore and fantastic fight scenes you can watch over and over.

I love the setting for this, one, most of which takes place somewhere in Spain or Italy outside a fairground. There is just something about that setting that appeals to me in this movie.

Plenty of comical baddies including Donald Pleasance as a former Nazi, trying to teach a bumbling mafia boss how to be a real villain.

The highlight for me is definitely the scene where Bud Spencer is doing choir practice and Terence is trying to warn him that a hitman is in the building. Pure comedy gold.

A real catchy theme song by Oliver Onions; "Dune buggy".

A letdown all the way
vnoordland26 March 2005
As a true Spencer & Hill fan I was very disappointed by this piece of crap.

Spencer and Hill are drivers in a demolition derby and by coincidence they finish exactly at the same time. This means they have to figure out how to share the first prize, a dune buggy. They decide to do this by way of a beer drinking and hot dog eating contest, but after having eaten a few dozen hot dogs each, gangsters show up and demolish the restaurant and the rest of the fairground. And even worse, they burn down the buggy. Our heroes of course demand their buggy back, but since the villains don't wanna listen and even beat up an innocent old man, Spencer and Hill are forced to use more "convincing" methods.

Non existing plot, very slow, bad acting, bad jokes and extremely irritating music. The fight scene in the room with hundreds of balloons was just childish, and the fight scene with the two bad guys on motorbikes was boring as hell. The opening scenes took way too long and the whole movie is uninspired. Remarkable that so many people here seem to like it anyway.

You're really much better off with Crime Busters or Double Trouble.

Waited 45 years to see this again...
thedivinewoman22 June 2021
I first saw this as a 13 year old in the cinema and loved it so much I think I went virtually every night. It has never appeared on UK TV as far as I'm aware, nor has it been on any of the streaming services, so I was delighted to find a copy of it although I was apprehensive it wouldn't be as good as I remember. To my delight it was, just one completely fun movie and unlike many of the crushes I had as a 13 year old in 1976 I could see why I had a huge one one Terrence Hill, goodness me, he was lovely.

It only loses one point for the song 'Dune Buggy', nothing wrong with it, it was just overused for my taste.

Best Hill-Spencer Movie

This was the first Terence Hill and Bud Spencer movie I ever saw, and remains as the best to me. If you don't laugh and enjoy its fights, gags, and lines, then surely something must be wrong with your sense of humor. The Dune Buggy theme is the perfect score for the action. It has all what a fan can expect in a Hill-Spencer movie: action, fun, good score, good punchs, and a very simple but effective plot. A must-see!

Pretty much the funniest scene ever

Bud and Terence singing in a choir at the same time as trying to evade a hit-man trying to shoot them from the gallery has fairly often had me laughing so hard that it began to hurt. If you ever get a chance to see this film, do it.

Timeless funniest gags ever

This movie was released in Mexico as "Juntos son Dinamita" (Together they are dynamite"; I never quite understood why they changed the names of movies so dramatically when releasing them in Mexico. That's a completely different story. This movie was a big success as it was funny and very much anticipated and expected as all other movies from Hill & Spencer by the kids in my age group. Yes, I was a kid in the 70s, but 30 years later I still have laughs with my brothers by singing "bom, bom bom bom, bom bom bom... la la la, la la la... Even when the plot is completely impossible, the story line is fantastic with the limited dialogs included, and even when the violence would have higher ratings in today's fruity kids world, I never felt more excited coming out of the cinema in my younger days... Good times...

This is one of my favourite from the bud spencer and terence hill series. Just remember the black dressed killer with his violin box, when he tried to kill bud at the opera.

Each time after i watched the film i promised myself to arrange a hotdog & beer contest...... :-)
