This film was shot in twelve days.

Writer/director Stephen Traxler wanted to do a sequel in which the creature terrorizes Los Angeles while Mello Alexandria's boat captain character hunts it down, but never could raise enough money to make said sequel.
The film was originally given an 'R' rating from the MPAA. The filmmakers trimmed the film down to a 'PG' and then snuck the cut footage back into the film since the MPAA did not follow up once the rating was assigned.
