Linkin Park is reportedly considering reuniting with a female vocalist in place of late frontman Chester Bennington.
Billboard reports that the band is fielding offers for a potential tour and festival headlining dates to take place in 2025. The identity of the female vocalist is not known at this time.
Following Bennington’s death July 2017, Linkin Park went on a permanent hiatus. In the time since then, the band’s surviving members have only performed together once – at a tribute concert honoring Bennington that was held in October 2017.
Earlier this year, Linkin Park released a new greatest hits album called Papercuts, which contained a previously unheard song called “Friendly Fire” featuring vocals from Bennington. “Friendly Fire” subsequently hit No. 1 on the US Rock and Alternative Airplay chart.

Linkin Park have announced their new career-spanning greatest hits album, Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023), out April 12th via Warner Records. Ahead of its release, they’ve shared “Friendly Fire,” a previously unreleased song featuring vocals from the late Chester Bennington.
The tracklist for Papercuts ranges from early hits like “In the End” and “Somewhere I Belong” to later songs like “Castle of Glass” and “One More Light” to rarities like “Qwerty.” The album will be available on all digital platforms and CD, cassette, and various vinyl variants, including a Zoetrope picture disc and limited edition colors. Pre-orders are ongoing.
Earlier this week, Linkin Park teased “Friendly Fire,” a synth-driven track recorded during the 2017 One More Light sessions. “We’re falling apart for no reason/ We’re pulling the trigger in a useless war,” Bennington sings. “If we go back and go into the black/ What are we fighting for?” Watch the music video,...

Linkin Park have dropped a teaser for the unreleased song “Friendly Fire,” which features vocals by the late Chester Bennington.
The band shared a snippet of the track on its official X/Twitter account, describing it as a “new, unreleased song from the One More Light 2017 sessions.” Tragically, Bennington would take his own life just two months after the album’s May release that year.
The short teaser reveals quite a bit about the song, which has the same synthpop qualities as many other tracks on One More Light.
Bennington’s vocals are prominent throughout, with the following lyrical passage being captured in the 30-second snippet: “We’re falling apart for no reason / We’re pulling the trigger in a useless war / If we go back and go into the black / What are we fighting for? / What are we fighting? / It’s just friendly fire.”

Since its debut on CBS on September 11, 1967, there was something distinctively special about "The Carol Burnett Show." This sketch comedy series spanned 279 episodes during its initial run, featuring acclaimed performances and comedic skits that were witty, sharp, and heavy on detail. Every actor who was a part of the show slipped into the shoes of a variety of characters that still remain memorable, including Carol Burnett's Charwoman (her signature role), and her parody of silent-film actress Nora Desmond. Some sketches were parodies of classic films such as "Gone With The Wind" or "Sunset Boulevard," while others mimicked soap opera structures or commercial spoofs.
By 1977, the popularity of the show had spiked, leading to some of the outstanding sketches being re-edited into standalone programs compiled in "Carol Burnett and Friends," which mashed the best skits into half-hour episodes. While the show relied on guest stars such as Jim Nabors and...

So, did you ever wonder why Carol Burnett always tugs her ear? It was a way she could say “hi” to her beloved grandmother. The first time she did it was when she made her TV debut at 22 on the Dec. 17, 1955 episode of the popular “The Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney Show.” She played the girlfriend of the woody dummy. “The first song I sang on TV was ‘Over the Rainbow’ to Jerry Mahoney,” she noted in a 2016 L.A. Times interview with me. “I remember I called my grandmother to tell her I was going to be on television. Nanny said say hello to me. That’s when we came up with pulling my ear.”
Nearly seven decades later, Burnett is still tugging at her ear, singing and making people laugh And on April 26th, which is her 90th birthday, NBC is throwing her a celebration “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.

Such agreements are now coming to the podcasting business as Campside Media, the company behind the successful Chameleon franchise, has struck a trio of deals.

It marks a shift in direction for the relatively nascent audio medium, giving a podcast studio such as Campside a first look at projects that may have previously been shopped around, and giving creators an element of stability that hasn’t traditionally been present in podcasting.

Greta Van Fleet frontman Josh Kiszka was sleeping in during a rare day off in December when his phone suddenly started blowing up. “I didn’t put together what was happening,” he says. “I thought the pope had died or something.” Pope Francis was fine, but Greta Van Fleet had just been nominated for four Grammys, all related to their 2017 EPs Black Smoke Rising and Friendly Fire. “These are some of the first songs we ever released,” says Kiszka. “So it’s kind of shocking. I didn’t expect us to get any nominations.

Is getting justice for the murder of one man worth breaking the military cone of silence?
On Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 5, Peter thought so and was even willing to risk his job for it.
The murder victim's father chalked it up to Peter not understanding how it works because he hadn't served. When Peter found a way to get what he wanted, Jeffries had to grudgingly admit he was correct.
Who was right in this case?
Moral dilemmas seem to be one of the things Chicago Justice does best, and I was excited about this particular one.
It was hard not to agree with Peter when he wanted justice for a man murdered because he wanted to tell the truth, and his argument for government transparency is especially appealing in the current political climate.
As Jeffries pointed out, there are certainly times when it doesn't make sense to tell the truth,...

UnREAL really knows how to do a season finale.
On UnREAL Season 2 Episode 10, Rachel tried her best to make sure Coleman and Yael couldn't take their information about the secrets from Everlasting public.
Might that have been the first time Rachel didn't find a way to manipulate her way to the top? Jeremy's return was a shock. It really was.
Who would have thought Jeremy would be the one to save the day? After everything he did to Rachel, it's clear where his loyalty lies.
I can't be the only one who guessed there was going to be some sort of car crash in store for Yael and Coleman. The speed they were driving made it even more obvious.
It would have been an intriguing twist to have had Coleman and Rachel reveal the truth about Everlasting. It would have left things up in the air until next summer, but...

What do day dreaming samurais on Tatooine, the Pirates of Dark Water, Cybermen, Gambit, Alex Rodriguez, Musashi, Kinopio, woodland elves and Dick Cheney all have in common? Absolutely nothing to the average focus group. But to Gearbox Software, those fun-loving dreamers behind Borderlands, it’s the makings of a new shooter mash-up, entitled Battleborn. We got a chance to get an early view of this game in pre-alpha.
Battleborn is designed as a cooperative and competitive shooter, complete with pirates, swordsmen, elves, steroid freaks, mushroom killers and piss-on-the-poor, upper class assassins. The goal is to take just about every character class and archetype from fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk fiction or otherwise and put them all together in a universe where it makes sense for them to coexist – even if it’s in disharmony with one another.
Of course, under-the-hood of every multiplayer shooter, there’s a little story behind the magic...

Blacklisted screenwriter and president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
The screenwriter Fay Kanin, who has died aged 95, was the only female president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in its 86-year history (apart from Bette Davis, who resigned after two months in 1941). She served as president from 1979 to 1983, for the maximum of four consecutive one-year terms. Kanin, who committed herself to the preservation of early Hollywood movies, was first elected president by a board consisting of 34 men and one woman.
"I'm a big feminist," she declared at the time that her play Goodbye, My Fancy opened on Broadway in 1948. "I've put into my play my feeling that women should never back away from life." The serious comedy, with Madeleine Carroll as a powerful congresswoman revisiting her alma mater to receive an honorary degree, ran for more than a year and was made into a 1951 film starring Joan Crawford.

Her anger at his refusal to kill Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski has nothing on the jealous rage that erupts when she finds out he is sleeping with her. "It's weird and gross and f***ed up," she acknowledges after confessing she was/is in love with her dumbstruck sibling -- and that she is more upset about his feelings for Hannah than the fact that he's murdered dozens of people.
Home Sweet Home: Deb's timing is especially terrible (but is there ever a good time for this conversation?) because Dexter and Hannah are really enjoying a honeymoon of sorts,...

Eureka, Season 5, Episode 4, “Friendly Fire”
Written by Amy Berg
Directed by Mike Rohl
Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy
Things mostly get back to normal on Eureka as the main characters work together to resolve the case-of-the-week. “Friendly Fire” has the perfect mix of sci-fi, drama, and comedy that has kept Eureka a consistently entertaining show for several years.
This week’s major issue involves a fiery element created by minor character Dr. Parrish (Wil Wheaton) that escapes the labs and attacks heat-emitting sources throughout town. It turns out all of the characters who were tapped into the Matrix in the previous few episodes are continuing to emit “zeta waves” in their brain which are having negative effects on things like the fiery element and Carter’s house S.A.R.A.H. It is unclear at this point whether these residual zeta waves are internally dangerous, but they...

"Eureka" Season 5 has been going so well, it's likely that network executives are second guessing their decision to make this the final season. Episode 4, "Friendly Fire" is no different. Not only are we dealing with the science mishaps of the week, but there are the consequences to the Astraeus crew being in the matrix and everyone's grief over Holli's (Felicia Day) death.
In the past two weeks, we've had stars Colin Ferguson and Neil Grayston who play Carter and Fargo on the Afterbuzz TV wrap up show. This week, Grant Imahara from "Mythbusters" joined the discussion about the science of the show, how the group is going to get through this change and how nice it is to see a show stick with the changes they made in a timeline without saying it was all a dream.
Check out myself, Jennings Roth Cornet and Grant Imahara in the video below...

"Eureka" Season 5, episode 4 "Friendly Fire" dealt with the Astraeus crew coming to terms with the memories they have of the time in the virtual world. In the upcoming "Jack of All Trades," we find Carter (Colin Ferguson) with all different personalities in his head.
In the preview, we see a very different side of Carter as he pulls over a women who was speeding. Ferguson told Zap2it about this episode when he appeared on AfterBuzz TV. This one is going to be a fantastic use of Ferguson's comedy chops.
Check out the video below and let us know what you think. In addition, we have a look at "The Science of 'Eureka.'" The show airs Monday nights on Syfy.

Just when we thought things would be getting back to normal in our favorite small town, "Friendly Fire" reminded us that just because you are unplugged from the Matrix, it doesn't mean you weren’t affected by it.
The cascade of weirdness from those who were in Beverly Barlow’s Neural-net processor reality rippled out in more ways than one; the biggest being the Zeta wave emissions Henry detected, which Grace and Allison figured out was a result of being connected to the neural net computer.
Are they still broadcasting on a wave length that Barlow can detect? Is this the sign of a bigger problem as Grace suspected?
The less significant way was many people adjusting to being back around real people. Honestly, I was confused by everyone’s reluctance to tell others what happened while they were plugged in. There was nothing to be gained by Grace not...

Gossip Girl aired a strong episode this week, culminating in a major, emotional scene featuring Chuck and Blair, while setting the stage for what should be a wild few episodes to close out 2011.
As usual, the episode delivered a half dozen songs, capturing the mood perfectly and offering a soundtrack that coincided with the events that keep us buzzing about the show week after week:
Cults - "Go Outside" Friendly Fire - "True Love" My Gold Mask - "Violet Eyes" The Uglysuit - "On We Go" David Guetta - "Titanium" Lana Del Rey - "Video Games"
In addition to the tracks we could identify from "I Am Number Nine" above, we would like to remind readers that our Gossip Girl music section is updated on a weekly basis. Browse around now!

After last week's lackluster premiere, I was happy to see Blue Bloods getting back to normal. "Friendly Fire" put Danny right in the thick of an incident that placed his badge on the line.
Actually, it wasn't so much the shooting itself but the way Danny handled it that put him in jeopardy. Doing the stakeout on his own was just stupid. He was already in trouble, why risk making things worse? Especially when Jackie or another officer would have surely done the job for him. It was foolishness on Danny's part.
Danny's a good cop but he frequently lets his ego and his emotions rule his actions and that's reckless.
I loved the opening where Linda and Danny were sniping at one another. You have days like that, even in the best of marriages. Days when the stupid stuff makes you crazy.
But that didn't stop her from being...

Director John Singleton’s acclaimed 1991 crime drama Boyz N the Hood is making its way to high-definition Blu-ray on July 19. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring out the film in a 20th Anniversary Edition priced at $19.95.
Nominated for two Academy Awards, the movie tells the story of three friends growing up on the streets of Los Angeles’ South Central. Ice Cube (Lottery Ticket) stars as Doughboy, an unambitious drug dealer; Morris Chestnut (TV’s V) as his brother Ricky, a college-bound teenage father; and Cuba Gooding Jr. (The Hit List) as Ricky’s best friend Tre, who aspires to get out of the Hood. Laurence Fishburne (Armored) plays Gooding Jr.’s strong father. Of course, as they try to get out, a tragedy pulls them back in and violence seems like the only answer.

"Killzone 3" hit stores on February 22, and while it hasn't been a hotbed of glitches the way certain other new releases have been, like any newly released game it is not without its problems and tweak needs. A patch is arriving tomorrow to address just those issues, and since you're going to have to download it anyway, Guerilla Games went and threw in a little bonus in the form of a brand new feature for online play: custom games.
The fixes and tweaks are mostly of the multiplayer variety, though there are a few updates to the menus and single-player campaign as well. You can find a full list on the game's official website. Cheaters will be disappointed to learn that a number of well-known (and not-so-well-known) exploits have been addressed, while the rest of us can breathe easy once again knowing that members of the opposing team have few options...

There was plenty of drama on "Dancing with the Stars" this week -- from the audience booing (disagreeing with the judges, not for Sarah Palin), to Judge Bruno Tonioli's brutal criticism of Michael Bolton's performance.

Bruno thought Bolton's jive with partner Chelsie Hightower was "probably the worst jive in 11 seasons" and that he "hated it." The now eliminated Bolton told "Dwts" host Brooke Burke...

HollywoodNews.com: Last night’s screening of the extraordinary documentary about the murder of NFL star Pat Tillman drew some heavyweights including double Oscar winner Jane Fonda, movie star Josh Brolin (he narrates “The Tillman Story”), Kerry Washington, Dick Ebersol, famed cinematographer Ellen Kuras, plus Dan Abrams, Sports Illustrated’s illustrious Terry McDonell, Broadway producer Jean Doumanian, Karen Duffy, Ahmad Rashad, and filmmaker James Toback.
“The Tillman Story,” directed by Amir Bar-Lev, is infuriating and incendiary as it recounts how Tillman, handsome and popular, a a gifted football player, was killed by friendly fire — American soldiers– in Afghanistan. Then the Army and the Bush adminstration covered it all up and lied to the Tillman family over and over again.
The whole saga, still unresolved thanks to an idiotic Congressional hearing, is reminiscent of C.D.B. Bryan’s famous non fiction work, “Friendly Fire,” from the 1970s. History just repeats itself.

Originally produced for CBS in 1998, The Girl Next Door is a decent time waster about the perils of a weak spirit coerced into committing murder in the name of love – or so she believes.
Tracey Gold has played victim, predator, hero... you name it. Her baby faced, slightly frumpy appearance allows her to take on all kinds of various Lifetime-esque roles, and how can someone not appreciate that? Although I prefer when she’s the psycho, I do like her as various other characters too...
