Much of the music score by John Barry are variations of the tune for "Aura Lee" which is the song on which "Love Me Tender" (1956) by Elvis Presley was based.
The original broadcast title was "To Elvis, With Love" but the name was changed to "Touched By Love" for the re-runs.
Cast members, Deborah Raffin and Cristina Raines, had both recently appeared in the horror movie The Sentinel (1977).
