In 1983 Hector Lechuga was having a hard time finding work on the Mexican TV networks because broadcasters feared to make the new President angry with Lechuga's jokes; the man didn't have a sense of humor. So, Hector started videotaping segments for an American show in Spanish named Hombre Nuevo, on KIHS-TV channel 46 and its satellite transmissions to North America, during 1984.
Comedians Héctor Lechuga and Chucho Salinas worked together for many years on the two most important Mexican TV networks doing humor of all kinds, but specially political commentary, avoiding censorship the best they could.
