The films trailer was shot years after the movie itself was. It features a scantly-clad young woman in bed talking about how weird things have been lately, while short clips of the movie play. The actress never appears in the actual film though.
Guest star Hal Holbrook shot all of his scenes in one day. His footage was edited into the film to make it seem like he was interacting with the other cast members, though his footage was shot separately. With the exception of a nighttime crime scene where he talks to and interacts with the university dean and a few police detectives, he never appears in the same frame shot with any of the other actors and actresses.
None of the girls featured on the posters, video cassettes, or marketing created for Girls Nite Out ever actually appear in the movie itself.
Rutanya Alda stated in a 2013 interview that she was never paid the $5,000 owed her for acting in this film.
