Justin Townes Earle has kept busy with touring and releasing albums over the course of the last few years, but he recently took time to step into the production booth to help Wanda Jackson with her latest album. Titled Unfinished Business, the album will be Jackson’s 31st studio release, following last year’s Jack White-produced The Party Ain’t Over. It will also mark Earle’s debut as a producer....

It takes a pretty special person to claim a title that includes descriptors like “first,” “sex symbol,” and “dated Elvis Presley,” but Wanda Jackson’s up for the task. The 75-year-old Queen Of Rockabilly is back with a new record, her 31st. Unfinished Business will be released Oct. 9 and includes covers of Woody Guthrie's "California Stars" and Bobby and Shirley Womack's "It's All Over Now," supplemented with a dose of country and blues originals. After Jack White produced her last record, The Party Ain’t Over, Jackson’s apparently grown fond of the youngsters, tapping fellow ...

The Amazing Race Review, Season 20, Episode 9, “Bollywood Travolta”
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
There’s a clear reason why The Amazing Race visits India so frequently. The combination of serious crowds, crazy driving, and excessive heat can send teams scrambling to keep their sanity. Also, the producers tend to use this setting to deliver some of their toughest challenges. A good example was Luke’s demise in the “Unfinished Business” season while tasting hundreds of cups of tea. A similar fate befalls Mark this week and sends the Kentucky duo to the brink of elimination. The combination of heat, motion sickness, and poor dancing skills (he’s not the only one) nearly derail them completely. Although it seems like the end for Mark and Bopper, the non-elimination leg gives them yet another reprieve. While they’re the most likable team, this seems a bit unfair to the remaining players.

Big-budget Australian action film Killer Elite has posted a disappointing opening over the weekend. The $80 million Omnilab-financed flick with a high-profile cast took in just $284,226 across 108 screens, generating a poor screen average of $2632.
Based on Sir Ranulph Fiennes' non-fiction novel The Feather Men, the film stars renowned actor Robert De Niro alongside British talent Clive Owen and Jason Statham.
The Australian opening mirrored its first weekend across the Pacific in the Us last September, where it grossed $US9.35 million across 2986 theatres ($US3132 screen average). Ranking fifth, it lost out to such titles as The Lion King (3D), Moneyball and Dolphin Tale. After eight weekends at cinemas in the Us, it took in $US25 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
Shot in various global cities including Melbourne, Paris and London, Killer Elite follows special-ops agent Danny (Statham), who is lured out of self-imposed exile to execute a feat of retribution and personal salvation.

Amazing Race 20 Preview
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Premieres on February 19
After barely surviving its early days, The Amazing Race is entering its 20th season. This is a remarkable feat for what began as a low-key antidote to other reality series. The formula has been tinkered with over the years (sometimes to its detriment), but the basic structure remains the same. Eleven teams of two journey around the world and compete for one million dollars. New Zealander Phil Keoghan has hosted since the beginning, and he provides a friendly presence to explain the tasks and greet the teams. It’s an effective set-up for tense drama and great entertainment with the right cast. Each season’s success or failure may come down to chance, but interesting players is the key factor.
After stumbling with the mediocre “Unfinished Business” season last spring, The Amazing Race rebounded nicely in the fall.

Badass 90s sci-fi action movie Universal Soldier, which apart from being one of my favourite movies, has spawned numerous sequels, the most recent of which, Universal Soldier:Regeneration saw both Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren (pictured above)return to the series and a further sequel entered production this past summer – and now Deadline are reporting that the franchise is headed to TV.
The show was announced at the Mipcom conference in Cannes by FremantleMedia North America who have tasked Stargate Sg-1 and Sanctuary scribe Damian Kindler with bringing it to the small screen; and Allen Shapiro and Craig Baumgarten, who produced the original movie, are signed on as executive producers.

Last season on The Amazing Race, the wheels started to come off the bus more noticeably. Although the show won its 8th Emmy earlier this month, the Unfinished Business season as a whole was pretty underwhelming, with relatively easy challenges, alliance domination like no other season, and a winner that never rose above the pack during any particular part of the show, minus the finale.
Which is why I'm so disappointed in "Kindness of Stranger", the show's 19th season premiere. It seems that instead of tightening up the proceedings, casting strong, capable teams, and getting back to what made the show so great in the first place, the powers that be decided to go in the opposite direction and made the show that much more maddening.
The challenges during the premiere were a little silly and seemed too easy to be getting the response they got from the teams. I...

The country music star on high heels, 'hillbilly ways' and the truth about her marriage
Well, hello, Dolly! "Who's that sweet thing in the pretty dress? Look at you! Thanks for comin' all this way!" It is such a pleasure to meet you! "Well aren't you sweet? Let's have a seat and rest our bones."
This is exactly the conversation Dolly Parton and I have as she walks into her rehearsal room in Nashville on a sweltering summer's day. But I could have written that exchange without ever meeting her, and so could you. Parton in the flesh is so exactly how one imagines her to be that as she sits opposite me, bandying about such Dolly-esque phrases as "You just need some good ol' horse sense!", "God gives us all a special talent" and, of course, "I'm just a simple country girl", it's hard not to wonder whether this is a Dolly impersonator.

Jay-z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne is shaping up to be the most eagerly anticipated album of the year. With that anticipation comes much speculation. Fans, critics and even other rappers themselves are all looking forward to the LP's August 8 release date, trying to predict the impact and outcome of the rap mash-up.
"It should be some big records on there; it's Jay-z and Kanye West," Jadakiss told MTV News.
Relative rap newcomer Wiz Khalifa also had high hopes, considering the solo legacies Hov and Yeezy have already laid out for themselves. "These are two people who have made great music in the past together, but [also] on their own, so coming together is gonna be an awesome thing," he said. "It can only mean well for hip-hop.

Last night I was sitting on my heels in front of my giant flat-screen TV, gnawing my fingernails and giggling manically and I think at one point I legitimately reached up to pet Toby’s face and my roommate goes, “It’s no wonder you can’t keep a girlfriend; you use all your real feelings on Pretty Little Liars.”
Which: Valid, and probably something I should talk to Annabeth Gish about, but whatever.
This show is magical. It’s all I want to watch and it’s all I want to talk about. Last weekend my dad was mocking me about it and I was like, “Pardon me for not valuing the opinion of someone who thinks Two and a Half Men is high art. Asshole.” It was Father’s Day.
Previously on Pretty Little Liars, Ian made a bunch of Horcruxes out of snow globes and lunch boxes and dead girls’ bodies.

The most recent season of The Amazing Race -- "Unfinished Business" -- was down in the ratings so it wasn't a big surprise that, at the end of March, CBS renewed the reality competition for just one cycle instead of two. The network ran just one edition during the 2007-08 season so perhaps 2011-12 would have just one as well.
Nope. Don't unpack yet Phil Keoghan. The Tiffany network has now ordered season 20 of Amazing Race. Number 19 will run this fall on Sunday nights and number 20 will debut sometime in Spring 2012.

Phil Keoghan must be getting a little fatigued. By this time next year, the TV host will have circled the globe 20 times in little more than a decade.
CBS announced June 16 that "The Amazing Race" has been renewed for a Season 20, set to debut in 2012.
Keoghan will return with a new crop of competitors, now that the series recently completed its 18th season, "Unfinished Business," which marked the return of many fan favorites.

The previously-ordered Season 19 of "Race" will premiere fall of this year.

Amazing Race has been renewed for a 20th season. CBS has confirmed that the Phil Keoghan-hosted race around the world for $$1 million will premiere its landmark 20th installment in spring 2012. The 19th season of the Emmy Award-winning Amazing Race was previously confirmed for a fall 2011 debut. Lakisha and Jennifer Hoffman picked up the prize on the 18th season, called 'Unfinished Business', which saw fan-favorite teams from recent races returning for a second chance at the $$1 million. Were you a comic fan growing up? Yes! Who are the filmmakers and what are the films that inspire you? Steven Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark", Brian De Palma's "Scarface" and "The Untouchables", Robert Zemeckis' "Back to the Future", Sergio Leone's "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", John Frankenheimer's "The Manchurian Candidate", and George Lucas' "Star Wars" and also his business model. What prompted you to continue the X-Men franchise? Unfinished business and a great new concept. Is this film the first of a new trilogy or just a standalone film? Hopefully it will be the first of many. How was it decided what characters to use for the film? Bryan Singer decided this initially. To prepare for directing the film did you focus more on reading the comics or watching the previous films? Both.

Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning have teased the new direction they plan to take New Mutants now they have taken over as the book's new creative team. Abnett and Lanning began their run on the series earlier this month in New Mutants #25 with a story arc focusing on the omega-level mutant Nate Grey. The former Guardians of the Galaxy writers insist that the 'Unfinished Business' story arc is the first step towards establishing the team's new role. "It's the direction for now certainly," Abnett and Lanning told Comic Book Resources, regarding the New Mutant's new mission of tracking down the X-Men's loose ends. "It's nice that they get a specific remit to define them," (more)...

The final Amazing Race: Unfinished Business task — assembling a trailer park — was all about the details, and unfortunately for Herb "Flight Time" Lang and Nate "Big Easy" Lofton, they glossed over one that cost them the $1 million. "I think we could've been there longer if we didn't [look at Kisha and Jen's table setting]," Big Easy tells TVGuide.com. "It was about the small details. With the wind blowing everything, it was just something that we missed." The Harlem Globetrotters are, however, happy to "finish strong" and complete all 12 legs. See what else they have to say about their time on the Race, sharing answers, and get their side on Gnome-gate.

"The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business" wrapped up Sunday night (May 8) with a victory for sisters Jennifer and Kisha Hoffman, as they became the first sisters team to win the million dollar prize. They tell Zap2it that their mom got the best Mother's Day present ever and that their "business is finished."
Was "Unfinished Business" harder or easier than your first time around?
Jen: I think definitely it was harder considering the continuation legs that we ran into right off the bat in Australia. We had to endure a lot of things on the first episode and it kind of set the pace for the remainder of the race."
Which season did you enjoy more?
Kisha: "I think both of the seasons were really great experiences. I think the first time you don't really know what to prepare for and so you're just running around trying to complete tasks.

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of the Season Finale of The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business.
The Season Finale of the Amazing Race Unfinished Business is in the books, and which of the four remaning second-chance teams took home the million dollar prize? Let's find out...
My Random Thoughts:
- Previously on The Amazing Race, a reminder of the demise of each of the remaining four teams in their original seasons, and a recap of the 7 teams eliminated so far this season, who will all be relegated to lining the finish line and applauding as if they care who wins. But, at least I got to see the footage of Luke melting down at the tea challenge once again, and that makes me happy. I wonder what he got Margie for Mother’s Day, clearly the most important day of the year for these two…I picture it as kind of...

Sixteen seasons without an all-female team winning "The Amazing Race" and now twice in two seasons it's been done, as sisters Jen and Kisha took home the million dollar prize from "Unfinished Business," just a season after Nat and Kat won Season 17. Jen and Kisha are, of course, the first team of sisters to win. This is the first leg they won the entire race.
It's apropos their victory aired on Mother's Day, as they are going to use the money to help their mom out. But let's see how we got there ...
The final 3 came down to sisters Jen/Kisha, Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy and father/daughter Gary and Mallory. The fourth-place team was Justin and Zev, who chose poorly on the Detour in Brazil and just couldn't make up the time.

They came. They raced. They're exhausted. After racing around the world, the cast of the Amazing Race: Unfinished Business took a moment to relax at the Amazing Race 10-year anniversary bash in Miami on Saturday. Sitting poolside at the Loews Hotel, the final four teams laughed and chatted with People about their Race experience - though all were careful not to give away Sunday's results. Zev Glassenberg and Justin Kanew After being disqualified during their previous season for losing their passports, the best friends tell People they're just happy to have made the final episode. On last night’s Amazine Race: Unfinished Business, one of the challenges involved eating a truck load of cheese fondue in Switzerland in order to reveal their next clue. The only team to take up the producers on that challenge were Zev, the autistic racer, and his friend Justin. It wasn’t pretty. There they sat, just stuffing themselves with bread cube laden with cheese upon bread cube laden with more cheese, until neither of them could stand to stab that hilariously delicate Bob Barker fork into yet another hunk of bread. It’s impossible to understand what it must feel like to eat that much cheese. (Though I wouldn’t put it past myself to find out.) Perhaps this Gif of Zev about to hurl up a trough of mac n’ cheese will do that barfy feeling justice.

On a night when many are following an epic struggle over the Iron Throne of Westeros, “The Amazing Race” honestly feels sort of quaint. While the “Unfinished Business” conceit has perhaps added additional emotional interest to the race, in that we have preexisting connections to these teams, the actual legs have been fairly nondescript. The only major change this season has been the proliferation of “You’re Still Racing” moments, which are not exactly new and have created artificial cliffhangers instead of actual tension. That doesn’t mean the season has been bad, per se, but it hasn’t been anything to write home...

When Ron Hsu, 61, and his daughter Christina, 29, first competed on The Amazing Race, they came in second place despite major communication issues. While they didn't make it to the final Pit Stop on Unfinished Business, the father-daughter team approached their "second-in-a-lifetime opportunity" with an emphasis on the journey rather than the finish line. After their elimination on Sunday's episode, Ron and Christina spoke with People about the detour that did them in, enjoying the local cuisine, and what it was like for Ron to walk Christina down the aisle to her most important Pit Stop yet - the wedding altar!

Luckily for Phil Keoghan, who live-tweeted the episode, he didn't get down and dirty because "there is no time" for him to try any of the tasks, he revealed.

Amazing Race: Unfinished Business got down, dirty and cold in Japan this week — so cold that Season 14 alums Mel and Mike White opted for medical attention during the frog-searching mud pit Detour, which ultimately booked them a trip home. "It was such a tough race. They wanted to make it tough because we had all experienced it already," Mel tells TVGuide.com. "It was too tough for me." Still, the 70-year-old writer says he and Mike — who is working on the upcoming HBO series Enlightened — have no regrets about throwing in the towel.

Phil Keoghan’s tear ducts got activated, too — even if he could easily have blamed the cold, rainy Japanese weather for the misty glow in his eyes after father-son team Mel and Mike White chose life (actual) over life in The Race and limped to the pit stop without having completed their final task. Join me below to recount the action in a dozen dazzling screengrabs.

White Collar delivered a solid finale lead-in via "Power Play," providing an entertaining identity switch of the show's two leads. It was definitely an episode I would watch again, perhaps even several times, simply due to the major Neal and Sara development we witnessed.
Plot-wise, in order to stop an energy monopoly from manipulating the city's power grid in the midst of a massive heat wave, Neal and Peter were unwittingly forced to switch identities to avoid spooking an anxious informant.
The switch provided an interesting perspective for Neal that seemed to have him delving even further into his self-reflection. It became obvious to me at several different junctures during the episode that Neal was contemplating Peter’s relationship with Elizabeth and you could tell he wanted that for himself.
Let’s be honest, that kiss between Sara and Neal was quite the sight. I couldn’t have been more excited.

After going out of Season 14 of The Amazing Race thanks to a U-Turn (by Margie and Luke), Amanda Blackledge and Kris Klicka, 27, met the same fate on Unfinished Business, becoming the first team to get eliminated after incurring an automatic U-Turn and falling behind on the second half of a double leg in Australia. "I wouldn't say it's harder to swallow because it's our own fault," Amanda, 25, tells TVGuide.com. "It's not like it's easier blaming other people. Yeah, Margie and Luke U-Turned us last time, but I don't think it's anyone's fault when you're eliminated — last time or this time." Find out how far behind the couple was, why it took them so long to get to Town Hall, and if they'd run the Race again.

Sunday (February 27) night was Oscar night, but since "The Amazing Race" only began its "Unfinished Business" season last week, it wasn't like CBS was going to be able to air a clip show or even pre-empt new episodes for a week. And as "The Amazing Race" was beginning on the West Coast, I was making more galleries and writing and assembling my Best & Worst look at the show. So by the time I settled in...

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of The Amazing Race, Episode 1.
A new season of the Amazing Race is off and running, and as many of you know by now (and as was first reported here back in December), this season is sub-titled Unfinished Business, with 11 teams returning for another shot at the million dollars. I’ll reiterate my initial response to the Cast List: why are we seeing only teams from Season 12 onward? Nobody from the first 11 seasons warranted an invite?
To the returning readers, Welcome back! It’s nice to see you again. And for those of you new to my Amazing Race Recaps, a hearty welcome as well, and a couple of things you should know: a) the recaps should be up within 30 minutes (often less) of when the show ends on the East Coast, b) the pictures will all have hidden captions underneath, so make sure to...

Remember the gay couple who sued because they were refused a room at a bed & breakfast? It brings up a very interesting quandary. Music executive Steve Stoute is furious that Eminem and Justin Bieber were snubbed at The Grammy Awards, and took out a full-page ad slamming the organization. I can only assume it was his rage delirium that caused him to refer to Eminem as,"The Bob Dylan of our time." The Amazing Race returned to good ratings last night with its "Unfinished Business" season, and below you can see a clip of Luke Adams celebrating the fact the fellow racer Vyxsin (who has an awesome/tragic name) knows sign language.
