Anthony Perkins in Edge Of Sanity (1989) will be available on Special Edition Blu-ray June 21st from Arrow Video
Anthony Perkins builds upon his legendary status as cinema’s seminal psycho in Edge of Sanity, a delirious conflation of Robert Louis Stephenson’s classic horror novella ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ and Jack the Ripper’s real-life reign of terror over Victorian London.
When his experiments into a powerful new anaesthetic go hideously awry, respected physician Dr Jekyll (Perkins) takes off into the night, casting aside the shackles of upper-class propriety as he disappears into the shadowy decadent demimonde of Whitechapel in pursuit of sensual pleasures under the guise of ‘Mr Hyde’. As his wife Elisabeth (Glynis Barber) passes her time in charitable work, rehabilitating the district’s fallen women, Hyde is drawn into an escalating cycle of lust and murder that seems to know no bounds.

Christina Aguilera performed her uplifting new song "Change," a tribute to the victims of the horrifying Orlando shooting, Thursday on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Backed by a four-piece band and a vocal quartet, the Voice coach belted the soulful track against a simple backdrop of purple swirls.

Newcastle will be required to accelerate their hunt for striking reinforcements this summer with Papiss Cisse expected to be out until September after undergoing surgery on a broken kneecap.
The Toon number nine was injured during the 2-1 defeat to Swansea at St James’ Park on 19 April and travelled to Paris yesterday for an operation. He will then convalesce at the Clairefontaine Medical Centre before returning to Tyneside where he will be assessed by the club’s medical staff.
The prognosis is that Cisse will be absent for 3-4 months meaning he will miss our entire pre-season programme and possibly the start of the new Premier League season which kicks off in August.
“Newcastle United can confirm that striker Papiss Cisse underwent an operation on a fractured patella on Thursday,” the club said in a statement today.
“He is expected to be sidelined for a number of months.

About Nadine de Barros and her new venture international sales agent Fortitude International.
Veteran foreign sales agent Nadine de Barros, financier/producer Daniel Wagner (Kill The Trumpet Player, Young Ones) and producer Robert Ogden Barnum (All Is Lost, Lawless) have partnered to launch Fortitude International, a new sales and financing outfit based in Los Angeles. De Barros will be meeting with film buyers at the upcoming European Film Market at the Berlinale.
De Barros most recently served as Head of Sales at Aldamisa International, and was previously Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions at Voltage Pictures. She has handled sales on such films as Sin City 2, Chef and Machete Kills as well as The Hurt Locker, Don Jon and Killer Joe.
In addition to sales, Fortitude will also fully finance projects, and will be actively looking to produce strong, commercial and director driven material immediately. The company will finance and sell 10-15 movies a year and has at its disposal equity, bridge and senior debt capabilities.
Fortitude will also focus on sourcing and financing television series and miniseries.
De Barros has always had a foot in television and previously sold TNT’s Leverage, The Triangle on SyFy, True Justice on Reelz and most recently SAF3.
“I am thrilled to be working with Daniel and Rob as we build Fortitude into a full-service international sales and financing company. I’m also very excited about our forthcoming slate of projects, both film and television series and miniseries,” said de Barros.
“Through Fortitude International, we have created a company that will provide important services and support not just for our personal slate of films, but to our present and future producing partners as well. I'm excited to partner with such talented and dedicated individuals on this new venture,” said Wagner.
“As financiers, Nadine brings us the international market knowledge that is so imperative to us when evaluating projects. Fortitude will be a haven for filmmakers and artists to make creatively and commercially successful films,” said Barnum.
Wagner’s La-based production and finance company BiFrost Pictures launched last year at Cannes and has recently greenlit high profile projects including the Miles Davis biography Kill The Trumpet Player, which will star and be directed by Don Cheadle. Other projects include Jake Paltrow’s Sundance entry Young Ones with Michael Shannon and Nicholas Hoult, Paul Bettany’s directorial debut Shelter starring Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie, the romantic comedy We’LL Never Have Paris from director and star Simon Helberg, and The World Made Straight which stars Noah Wiley, Haley Joel Osment and Minka Kelly.
Robert Ogden Barnum, also a producer on Kill the Trumpet Player and Shelter, is a co-founder of the financing firm e2b Capital with Cassian Elwes, and most recently executive produced All Is Lost starring Robert Redford and directed by Jc Chandor. Other recent projects include Lawless, starring Shia Labeouf and Tom Hardy and Chandor’s first film Margin Call, starring Kevin Spacey. Barnum has also served as an executive, overseeing operations and strategy of both Benaroya Pictures and Annapurna Pictures, both major independent film financiers.

A previously-unpublished interview with Return Of The Jedi director Richard Marquand...
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Return Of The Jedi. A book on the making of the film is to be released this autumn, and I’m looking forward to delving through the previously little known facts, pictures and artefacts about the movie that author J W Rinzler has discovered while writing the book. I recently unearthed some forgotten Return Of The Jedi lore myself when I packed my things for my upcoming move. Imagine my surprise when, going through some old papers, I came across an interview of Richard Marquand I did back in 1984, barely a year after the release of Return Of The Jedi.

Grey’s Anatomy. No matter what goes on during a season, you are always able to pull off an unforgettable finale. And"Perfect Storm” was no exception.
From explosions to operating in the dark, to the arrival of a beautiful McBaby Boy and the realization of feelings by many of the doctors, the hour was jam packed.
Grey-Sloan Memorial experienced power outages and a bus crash during an intense super storm. The hour was loosely based on Super Storm Sandy hit the East Coast endured this year. I live on the East Coast, and trust me, it wasn’t pretty. As always, Shonda Rhimes company found a way to do it justice.
Tiny Babies & Low Batteries. Arizona, Jo and Alex faced the challenge of keeping the Nic-u up and running with the loss of power and no batteries for the ventilators. Who was there to help? Lauren, of course.

Simply put, this Two and a Half Men season has been tepid. During some installments, it has been flaming hot, but, for the most part, it has been Alaska cold.
This kind of change is understandable, seeing as there was a new inhabitant in the Malibu beach house and some adjustments necessary for Ashton Kutcher in the role of Walden. But we're looking forward to the fall and a fresh start, hopefully, for all the characters.
Fortunately, “Oh Look, Al-Qaeda” gives us hope. it was one of the best episodes of the season. For one, it was a Jake-centric half hour. And, with Eldridge backing him up, the installment was simply superb.
Jake Harper has grown up, but he is not yet mature. He does not have an idea of what he is going to do after graduation, and boy, how many of us have been in that situation?

Casey Abrams and Scotty McCreery on "American Idol" on Thursday

Ryan Seacrest warned off the top that fans were going to be disappointed with the news on Thursday night's (April 28) "American Idol" results show. At the point in the season where you are guaranteed that half of the remaining six will end up in the bottom three, there were plenty of opportunities to be bummed.
But after finding new ways to make the amateur singers twist in the wind while awaiting their fate, when the smoke cleared, it was Casey Abrams whose card was punched into "Idol" purgatory. Lauded for his musical aptitude but hampered by a tendency to get overly aggressive and unnecessarily scatty during his performances, Abrams left the show after being saved by the judges earlier in the season.

Or can she at least add the Bravo reality stars to her celebrity impersonation repertoire? Dratch and Real Housewives of New York and Bethenny Getting Married? star Bethenny Frankel joined my Bravo bestie Andy Cohen for the “Goodbye Until September” finale last night. You better watch out You better not cry You better have clout I'm telling you why Two Thumbs Down are comin' to town He's making a list,

He sees you when you're (bleeping),
He knows when you're a fake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for cinema's sake!
With little but scorn
and pounding of drums,
Rooty toot hoots
and rummy tum thumbs
Sandy Jaws is comin' to town
As I dream back over many happy years of movie going, some of my favorite lines from old reviews dance in my head like visions of sugarplums. Good movies, bad movies, doesn't matter, just so the line dances. I thought I'd share them in the holiday spirit. Curiously, most of the lines come from movies so bad I didn't want a refund,...
