Sweet 80's lovestory
benzonaruk4 June 2001
Lovely little relatively unknown 80's movie portraying life on a kibbutz from the foreign (non-Israeli) point of view. Its not all Club Med 18-30 fun and happiness for the volunteers from England, USA, Japan etc, as they discover that life on the kibbutz and in Israel isn't quite what they expected, and its only a temporary escapism from life at home, as home tends to creep up on you when you least expect it.

A sweet, rather slow paced romantic love story, won't tax the brain very much, but will leave you smiling and fulfilled.

great film not shown very often on TV but loved the film great story of life on the kibbutz shame it so hard to get hold of i have been searching on e bay for months the story tells of volunteers from many different back grounds that have volunteered to work on the kibbutz in Israel the story tells well of the many problems encountered between them from joy to disaster from the ever day living to the hard work that needs to be put in as a volunteer and that some of the volunteers are prepared and some that are not prepared to put in if any one is thinking about going to work in Israel on the kibbutz this film is a must see if you can get hold of it.

An interesting tale of life on a Kibbutz and of a tourist who ends up staying there and falling in love with Pacula, who works there permanently. One thing leads to another but he still decides his place is back home. Predictable ending for a nice romantic movie.
