Brilliant beginning to a superb season

Warning: Spoilers
This 90 minute episode is better than the majority of films I've seen about this topic. Full of action and introducing some great characters, including the beginning of the complex and close relationship between Vinnie and the man he must befriend and betray. No dull moments, no "filler" scenes, all excellent, laying the groundwork to a season which in my opinion has never been surpassed on television. Writers, directors and actors all at the top of their game to produce something unforgettable. Watch this and the whole of season 1. You won't be disappointed.

Early Sopranos
Provalone18 March 2005
This was a fantastic piece of television history. I believe it would be safe to call it an early Sopranos. I know the plot is a different feel, but I guess to be fair, I would say a cross between the Sopranos and Miami Vice.I am sorry the Ken Wahl has not done anything else. Wouldn't it be cool if he guest starred on the Sopranos as an undercover cop? IT COULD HAPPEN!! I mean think about it, He could be part of a 5 or 6 episode arc, he infiltrates the "family" by becoming the Bada Bing manager and then he gets "whacked" when he is caught calling in to McPike. What a great cameo!! I mean com on, a piece of 80's history being intertwined with the sopranos, who would not like that?
