Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • 10-year-old Billy's babysitter, Katie, lets him drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes with her to and from the beach. They are eventually caught by their parents on their way home. Played for laughs.
  • While Billy, now a teenager, is staying at a beach house with his mom, sister, his best friend, Alan Appleby, and his friend/former babysitter, Katie, his mom comes home one night with a man she met at a bar; both his mom and the man are drunk.
  • Billy, now an adult, goes to a bar with his best friend, Appleby, to hang out and chat about their youth and Katie's death. They both get very drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where a boy gets into a physical altercation with the man his mom has brought home is a little intense. This is really the only violent scene in the movie.
