Sex & Nudity

  • There a few lengthy make out scenes that involve two characters naked under sheets. You can see a woman's bare breasts, but no male nudity. Finally, there is another one that shows the man on top of the woman in missionary position, without any thrusting, but there are no sheets this time.
  • There is a commercial about condoms and several characters stating that the commercial makes them want to buy rubbers. Played for laughs.

Violence & Gore

  • Riggs tackles an bad guy out the window of a hotel, and Leo is caught between them. All three plummet into the pool below, but the bad guy escapes. And Riggs punches Leo several times in the pool, thinking it's a bad guy. Leo is then seen with blood on his face.
  • A bomb kills a woman in a pool.
  • There's a lengthy and destructive car chase in the beginning where several cops pursue suspects in two different vehicles, and they split up. Several cars crash and explode, and a helicopter arrives and rescues a suspect, and a man inside fires at the cops. The other suspect violently crashes, but escapes.
  • Cinemax content advisory: rated R for violence (V), nudity (N), graphic language (GL), and adult content (AC)
  • Hans is shot point blank in the head by Vorstedt. A small bullet wound is seen, and there are tiny amounts of blood.
  • There's a lengthy shootout on a boat in the end, with several men getting shot. Riggs shoots and kills several men quickly, one falls from a great height, and another is shot many times in the chest (bloody holes seen).
  • Riggs hits a man with a pool skimmer and dispatches another man, taking both of their guns from them.
  • Riggs disarms a man with a gun, kicks him in the stomach, and then shoots a fish tank in the room, flooding it.
  • There's a long chase in which a cop and a man pursue a truck being driven by a criminal, with another cop on the truck. The truck eventually collides with another car, and a surfboard flies off the car and impales the criminal's head off-screen. Afterwards, we briefly see some blood on his head, but we do not see the actual wound or anything graphic.
  • Murtaugh gets into a fight with bad guys in his home, and after a fight, are killed with a nail gun. The first bad guy is shot in the forehead, very little blood. The second is shot three times in the face through a semi-transparent tarp (some blood can be seen on the other side of the tarp, but nothing too graphic is shown). There is a brief instance of a lump of blood seen on the tarp afterwards.
  • Riggs fights with two men, choking one with a chain and breaking his neck. He kicks the other, and then slams his head in a car door.

Profanity

  • Rated R: For Strong Language Throughout, Several Intense Sequences of Violence, and for a Sex Scene.
  • 61 uses of "fuck" and around 30 uses of "shit." Other moderate profanity ("damn," "God", "hell," etc.) and 2 uses of "holy christ". There's also some uses of "kaffir".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Mild drinking and smoking throughout.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is another intense shootout where two of the main characters run from a helicopter full of bad guys.
  • The final shootout is very intense and violent.
  • The final fight is very brutal and intense.

Violence & Gore

  • There's a very brutal fight between Riggs and Vorstedt. Riggs is stabbed in the leg with a knife by Vorstedt. The two fight, and Riggs pulls the knife out of his leg and stabs Vorstedt in the gut. The knife is pulled out and some blood can be seen on his shirt. Then Riggs presses the button, causing the large cargo crate falling down crushing Vorstedt.
  • Rudd shoots at Riggs several times, but doesn't die. And then Murtaugh shoots Rudd in the head. A bloody bullet wound is seen.
  • Rika is found dead underwater.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Riggs is seen trying to escape from a straightjacket underwater, and he does.
