Us actor Paul Walker tragically passed away yesterday (November 30), aged 40, after he was involved in a fatal car collision.
With a career spanning almost 30 years, the actor achieved success in modelling, TV and film and was known worldwide for his role as Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise.
Digital Spy pays tribute to the late star, as we name five of Walker's most memorable movie roles.
The Fast and The Furious
Walker's best known role was undoubtedly that of police officer Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise. The actor was propelled to worldwide prominence when he appeared as the undercover agent in 2001's The Fast and The Furious - which grossed over $200 million on a $38 million budget - before reprising the role in all but one of the five sequels.

A new clip from Star Trek Into Darkness has been released.
With the Enterprise under fire, Kirk (Chris Pine) attempts a risky manoeuvre in order to get the enemy off their tail, much to the disapproval of Spock (Zachary Quinto).
Jj Abrams's sequel to Star Trek (2009) will see Kirk and his crew battling a "one-man weapon of mass destruction" from within their own organisation, as Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison wreaks destruction in cities across the Earth.
Alongside Pine and Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Simon Pegg and Bruce Greenwood all return from the first film, while Cumberbatch and Alice Eve are new additions.
The sequel's title is closely related to Cumberbatch's role as "a dark shadow" of Kirk and other Enterprise crew members, and Cumberbatch has explained that Harrison's power lies in his ability to emotionally manipulate those around him.

When we saw the first nine minutes of Jj Abrams's upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness back in December, it's fair to say we were having paroxysms of nerd excitement.
Having now seen the first 28 minutes of the film, in addition to two later scenes, we can say with some confidence that audiences are going to be very, very happy come May 9. This is thrilling, emotionally rich, genuinely epic stuff, packed with heart and humour alongside the spectacular action set pieces.
With more than a month still to wait until the film's release, Digital Spy has put together a list of ten teases from what we've seen so far.
Warning: Spoilers will follow!
1) If you're one of the lucky few who saw the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness when they played in front of The Hobbit, fear not - there are surprises in store from the beginning,...

Here’s a lovey new poster courtesy of the chaps at Digital Spy for Studio Canal’s new movie starring Woody Harrelson’s as ‘Rampart’. We’ve seen the movie and loved it – check out Adam’s review here. Rampart is released tomorrow, 24th February.
Rampart stars Woody Harrelson, Ned Beatty, Ben Foster, Anne Heche, Ice Cube, Cynthia Nixon, Sigourney Weaver, Robin Wright, Steve Buscemi with Oren Moverman at the helm as director. I’ll let the synopsis do the talking but if you missed the trailer that came out back in November, have a watch here.
From a screenplay by James Ellroy (“L.A. Confidential”) and director Oren Moverman (Oscar-nominated “The Messenger”), comes Rampart. Veteran police officer Dave Brown (Woody Harrelson), dedicated to doing “the people’s dirty work” and asserting his own code of justice, is the last of the renegade cops in the Lapd. When he gets...

hollywoodnews.com: It’s beginning to look a bit like a landslide. The Producers Guild of America is the latest group to reward Michel Hazanavicius’ “The Artist” with its year-end Best Picture honors, paving the way for what could be Oscar domination next month.
The black-and-white and predominantly silent film has been picking up top prizes throughout the season, winning Best Picture awards at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globes. On accepting the PGA distinction, producer Thomas Langmann said that when they “dreamed of making ‘The Artist,’ we knew we were dreaming of writing a love letter to American cinema.”
Oscar nominations arrive on Tuesday morning, and “The Artist” is expected to lead all films with the most nominations. It’s best to caution against landslide victories in what amounts to “the primaries.” Last year, David Fincher’s “The Social Network” did very...

Chicago – Kicking off our annual series of year-end film features, we begin with the ensemble players, the supporting cast members who provided the necessary dramatic support to allow their leading men and women to shine. Would George Clooney be getting some of the most pronounced critical praise of his career without the emotional weight provided by Shailene Woodley? Is Elizabeth Olsen’s performance as powerful without John Hawkes? Could Michael Fassbender get half the attention he’s received without Carey Mulligan? Here are my favorite supporting performances of 2011, the men and women who really stood out in a great year for film. Come back tomorrow for our picks for the best lead performers and next week for our Top Ten Films of 2011.
The Best Supporting Actor Performances of 2011
I’ll be blunt — it has not been a very good year for this category. Sure, there have been a few standouts...

Michael York dashes onto the cinematic scene as the blundering but very enthusiastic D'Artagnan in Richard Lester's hugely enjoyable period comic romp. The late great Roy Kinnear is the long-suffering vassal of aristocratic swordsmen Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain and Frank Finlay, whilst Raquel Welch and Faye Dunaway shine as heroine and villainess, respectively. Producers Alexander and Ilya Salkind filmed the following year's sequel back-to-back with this more successful first part, which approach they would revisit shortly for Superman and Superman II. What's the best way to go about previewing 2011? A most anticipated list? An Oscar hopeful list? A prediction of what films will most likely be atop the yearly box-office? What?
I created a massive list of films coming in 2011 with the intention of doing what I did last year when I previewed 50 films in two parts. Only this year I was wrestling with over 100 movies and then I was bumping up against the problem of whether I should work with just the films I am personally anticipating or preview the films most people will be talking about?
Personally I'm not anticipating films such as Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger or Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but can you really write an article about the films of 2011 and not mention these movies? Therefore, I figured I'd just make a few categories and then open the doors for comments and your lists of most anticipated films.
