Dorothy returns home to Kansas to see Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, but Toto immediately realizes that they're the Wicked Witch and Truckle in disguise. Meanwhile, the Lion ends up with the ruby slippers.
As part of an elaborate scheme to steal the ruby slippers, the Wicked Witch instructs her flying monkeys to invade Music Land and snatch the conductor's baton so that the orchestra can no longer play music.
The gang finds themselves in Mechanica, home to the Tin Man's ex-girlfriend, Miranda, which is ruled by an evil clockmaker who's in cahoots with the Wicked Witch.
The gang heads to Crystal Land to find the Wizard. Meanwhile, the Wicked Witch makes plans to replace her malfunctioning crystal ball by stealing a new one.
The Wicked Witch is erasing the history of Oz, destroying the Emerald City and altering the lives of its inhabitants, so Dorothy and her friends head to Time Town to set things right.
The Wicked Witch disguises herself as a fortune teller and puts a spell on the Lion, so he gains (and loses) his "courage" whenever the word is uttered. Soon our heroes are off to Pop-Land to find the Wizard with the Witch on their heels.
