Chris Hemsworth says his Ghostbusters’ cameo helped sharpen his comedy chops for his new Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok.
“It was a bit of encouragement for this film and what we could do, and experiment — a lot more with improvisation,” he told PageSix Tuesday. “I credit Ghostbusters, Saturday Night Live, Vacation as sort of a lead-up to this film.”
Hemsworth hosted SNL and made an appearance in Ed Helm’s comedy Vacation in 2015, and had a cameo alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in last year’s Ghostbusters reboot.

Thor: Ragnarok isn’t going to be like any previous Thor movie. That much was clear when the Thor: Ragnarok trailer was set to a rollicking synth soundtrack and Thor gave a scream of joy when he saw Hulk burst out of the arena. “I know him! He’s a friend from work!” Thor shouts at the crowd and Jeff […]

Before he takes the stage as Acm Awards co-host this Sunday, country star Luke Bryan is opening up about losing his brother in a car accident over 20 years ago.
“When Chris passed away I was 19 years old, fixin’ to chase my dream,” Bryan, now 40, tells Sunday Today with Willie Geist in a new interview. “It just totally rocked our family’s world, rocked my world.”
Of Chris’ early death, Bryan says, “It makes you appreciate chasing dreams, you know. You’re like, ‘Hey you get one go-round at this thing called life and it’s very fragile, so you better go after your dreams.

Doubt can be a dangerous emotion.
It can ruin friendships, relationships, and lives when given too much power.
Doubt Season 1 Episode 1 gave us our first look at what has potential to be a very intriguing series.
The premise, of course, is doubt.
Very few cases are clear cut. Even if someone is found not guilty, doubt still exists unless there is physical evidence.
Exonerated people often have to live the rest of their lives wondering whether their families and friends believe they are guilty.
So, while giving his blood may not have been the wisest legal move for his defense, it's hard to blame Billy for wanting to do it. Physical evidence is terribly hard to deny, and he said how important it is to him that Sadie believes he's innocent.
Personally, I'm already invested in his case and their relationship. I can't wait to find out what those test results reveal.

When Vanessa Bayer was just freshman in high school, she was diagnosed with leukemia. While the news was a shock for her and her family, Bayer says her cancer battle ultimately led her to a career in comedy.
“I wasn’t really that scared,” Bayer says in the latest issue of People. “My dad is a really funny guy, and we would make jokes about my leukemia. When my friends would come over we would joke about it too. It’s sort of messed up out of context, but it put everybody at ease. Being sick is the reason I went into comedy.

WWE/Espn
The working relationship between WWE and television giant Espn could lead to more mainstream coverage of WWE SummerSlam since it’s taking place in New York City.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jonathon Coachman, who previously worked for WWE as an announcer as well as authority figure, has been pushing for Espn to cover SummerSlam as if it was a real sporting event.
According to the report, some people within Espn think that WWE is really hot right now, even though ratings are at record lows and attendance numbers are down too. There are also others at Espn that are dead-set against the idea of covering WWE like a real sport because it’s really just a form of entertainment.
