Sex & Nudity

  • A teenage boy and girl kiss passionately
  • One scene involves a strip club, various woman are shown dancing in the background with not much clothes on.
  • A girl does cocaine and drinks alcohol in bed wearing see-through lingerie
  • A girl takes her top off. A man then forcefully ties her up as she protests, breasts are visible very breifly
  • There is a scene in a club with many women seen topless.
  • Sexual scenes involving teenage characters.
  • A couple makes out while the girl takes the boy's hand to touch her uncovered breast.
  • Many scenes with prolonged breast nudity, primarily from the main character. Several sex/rape scenes with breasts exposed, strip club scenes with topless dancers, and extended topless scenes.

  • The violence is pretty graphic and gruesome at times. Not for the weak of heart.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A teenage girl uses cocaine many times onscreen and is addicted to it.
  • One of the themes of this film is drugs, particularly cocaine.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A few jumpscare-like scenes.
  • A little boy with a white mask jumps across a parking lot disturbingly. This scene is very scary and random.
  • This is equally as dark and depressing as the TV series. There aren't many humorous or light scenes like there are in the series, they are there if you are paying attention though.
  • A steel rod suddenly busts a television.
  • A girl finds that there is a man hiding in her bedroom.
  • A girl's face suddenly turns ghastly.
  • A girl is in her bed and looks next to her, and there is a bloody dead girl who is talking to her. This scene is a dream scene, but still very creepy.

Sex & Nudity

  • The film contains moderate sexual activity when a strange man creeps up to girl's bed and starts caressing her thigh. Soon he begins thrusting between her legs. The scene does not include any nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is shot several times. He is then shot in the head, blood and brain matter is seen from a wound. Moderately graphic.
  • A girl is hit over the head with a metal pole several times. Blood is seen.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Teenagers are shown under the influence of drugs and alcohol, still drinking. One of them kills a man under the influence of the drug. Drugs are portrayed in a negative way.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Themes of incest, pedophilia and domestic abuse.
  • The end of the movie is of Laura Palmer being stabbed by Bob (Her father in other words), and is later seen in the black lodge with Special Agent Cooper. She's sitting, and lights start flashing as she begins to see an angel. She then cries joyfully knowing she's going to somewhere that isn't earth. This is a very sad and depressing finale.
  • A man comes in through a girl's window and rapes her.
  • A girl is murdered to flashing lights and very loud music, making the scene very intense.
  • There are a few creepy and suspenseful scenes with 'supernatural' elements. The theme of 'demonic possession' may be particularly scary for some.
