Power Rangers is one of the most popular shows in the 90's and one of the Best Shows in TV History

It has Toys, Video Games, Spin-offs, Pogs, Cards, Comic Books, Foods, Movies and many more.

The original Power Rangers, was very similar to the Batman show in the 60s.

my Favorite Rangers were Jason and Tommy

Angel Grove, nice name for a place

the Theme Song "Go Go Power Rangers" was one of the most Memorable Theme Songs ever all the haters got annoyed with that theme song but all the ranger fans and I liked it

Season 1 was the best and the most iconic and popular season out of the franchise! great costumes, great zords, great rangers and a great plot the 1st episode of Season 1 (Day of the Dumpster) is where the power rangers story begins

the most comical characters from power rangers that make us laugh were bulk and skull the 2 bullies from the group

if they don't like the power rangers and always picking on them why did they hang out with them all the time?

the Episodes of Season 1 were great

Remember "Day of the Dumpster" and "Food Fight" and "Happy Birthday Zack" and "Birds of the Feather"? Those episodes were Awesome

And don't forget "Green With Evil" and "Return of an Old Friend"

Season 2 was not that bad the Zords are cool and White ranger costume was cool, White Light was one of the Best Episodes ever made but the jokes are corny, Bulk and Skull were a bit stupid and annoying but always funny

and about Season 3 Umm Not Sure I Find it i found that season a bit mediocre Zedd Became so Stupid in that season, Rito was annoying, the alien Rangers saga was a bit boring But i like the Ninja Zords

and all of the following Power Rangers spin offs/Seasons after Mighty Morphin (except for Lightspeed Rescue&Samurai&Super Samurai) were awesome

Power Rangers is the greatest show ever made. Not some Dinosaur king Thrash nor Phineas and Ferb!! All that non stop action, fun, cool rock music and excitement that you can enjoy.

it might be OK if you're a kid or if you're born in the 90s but it gets a little bit hard to watch if you're born in the 80s

I am a Power Rangers fan so, I like this show, the video games, the toys, the movies and everything. Good stuff.

Way better than Phineas and Ferb I recommend to watch this show, you'll be happy.

My Story Of The Power Rangers

I remember watching this show on TV exactly 20 years ago, '94. During that time, the show was hugely popular, and I was obsessed. All these kids seemed to know about the show, and talk about it. There was so much Power Ranger franchise, and from what I remember some of it was hard to find in stores because of the popularity of the show. I remember dressing as the Red Ranger in 2nd Grade that Halloween year, and a lot of the other people at my school were dressed as Power Rangers, mostly the Red Ranger. I remember exciting points in the series, like when Tommy becomes the White Ranger as we hear about a new White Ranger, but aren't sure who he is going to be. I didn't know it was going to be Tommy, except one of my friends at school told me that same day the episode aired that it would be Tommy as he was losing all his powers during this time 20 years ago when Lord Zedd was taking over. I remember my mom reading me a newspaper article on Tommy becoming the White Ranger the next day. I remember feeling amazed at seeing their zord transformations. I also did not know while watching it as a kid how the Power Rangers is based off of a Japanese series, Zyuranger. Looking back at the series, as now you can own copies of the episodes when they aired on TV on DVDs. There have been times when these older episodes aired on ABC Family. You can also watch a lot of the episodes online for free. Watching this show years later will take you back down memory lane. However, you'll see screw ups in the series that you might have slightly noticed as a kid, but will notice more now while watching the series. I also remember going from one year '94 to being obsessed with the show to the school year after in '95 to remembering it, but no longer caring about the show. I stopped watching after Season 2, I saw the Power Ranger movie once in the movie theaters. I liked it but didn't care about it. I also saw the Power Rangers World Tour Live on stage many years ago and enjoyed it, but gradually lose my interest in Power Rangers, not watching Season 3 or caring about it. It also seemed like lots of people lost their interest in the show the year later. Like, it seemed like during the 2nd Half of Season 2 the show just lost a lot of its appeal. I even remember my teacher telling me how she once went to the store and saw all this Power Ranger merchandise. However, when she went back months later she saw Pogs merchandise. Pogs were things you could collect back then. I remember some of the things kids collected in the '90s you no longer hear about today, like pogs, gogos, tamagotchis. Watching the series years later you'll notice some flaws. The show started out with a lot of potential, and I bet it could have been popular much longer if it didn't mess up on certain things. Like here are some flaws I've noticed, one is there isn't much of a plot to the show. Basically, almost every episode would start out at school or the Juice Bar where the characters would talk about an incident and then Rita and Lord Zedd would come up with a monster based on the incident. The show would frequently end with the Power Rangers laughing at Bulk and Skull, I didn't laugh too often while watching the show and didn't think of Bulk and Skull as funny. Another, is there weren't many main characters in the show. There were lots of extras, but the main human characters were mostly just the Power Rangers, Bulk, and Skull, Mr. Caplan Mrs. Applebee, and Ernie. There also was Zordon and Alpha, and then Rita/Lord Zedd and their minions. There was also bad acting. Other flaws, when Jason, Zach, and Trini left the show in Season 2, if you watch those episodes before they get the new rangers you'll be able to tell they're not in there as they don't have much screen time, and are only there for brief recycled scenes. They aren't hanging around the others as they normally are, and their voices are obviously voice-overs. I feel like the show lost a lot of it's appeal after they changed the 3 Power Rangers as while the next 3 Rocky, Adam, and Aisha were still cool, though not as cool. Other flaws for the show, the show seemed to become predictable, even as a kid. A lot of Lord Zedd's monsters were taken down easily even though he was supposed to be the bigger villain with the more Powerful Monsters. So, not angrily I just lose interest in the show. I for one, can't believe a Power Ranger series is still running as most of us probably remember just the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and it hasn't seemed so popular since then or doing well. You don't really hear about kids watching the show nowadays. I even remember reading a 2001 interview from Jason, Tommy, and Kimberly about being on the show and they thought it was time to cancel the show. It's been many years later and they still haven't canceled it. You can watch episodes of Zyuranger on YouTube with English subtitles. Comparing Zyuranger to Power Rangers, Zyuranger is better. They seemed to have more characters, better acting, more of a storyline, more action, and obviously not screw ups from switching scenes like they'd switch scenes from Zyuranger to Power Ranger shows. I'd give the show an 8/10 as it was good in the day, but still had its flaws. It was nice sharing my thoughts on the Power Rangers. I'm sure a lot of you can agree with what I said.

The Original is the Original

That of leader Jason, Spirited Trini, Gymnast Kimberly, Nerdy Billy, Hip Zach as they were just ordinary teens but that over in Rita Repulsa the original antagonist as mentors Zordon and Alpha Five wanted teens with attitudes.

At first they are reluctant but now since Rita is dangerous and how they recognize they need to be the heroes they were meant to be and really began the new sort of franchise and how that it is a show that never ages.

It's a great kids show that should be acknowledged for what it is.

I don't see why everyone here is bashing the original Power Rangers show. Nearly every one of them is saying how now that they've gone back and watched it as an adult, it's got horrible acting, horrible dialog, and cheesy and repetitive themes. Yeah, well, guess what: it wasn't made for you to go back and watch as an adult. It was meant for kids. Kid shows didn't have to have the best acting or best writing. If they had the money to hire people to win awards for superb acting and writing, they wouldn't have wasted their time on a kid show.

Power Rangers was meant for kids to watch, to be able to understand and follow along, and to learn from the cheesy and repetitive themes that good wins over evil, teamwork is a great thing, and that you have to believe in yourself. Did it succeed it conveying these messages? I think so. It did so in a way that kids liked, a way that was "cool" during its time. It had characters that kids could see and look up to. Jason was the brave team leader, Zach was the "smooth" dancer, Billy was the smart and resourceful one, Trini was determined and helpful, Kimberly was humble and graceful, and Tommy was noble and selfless. The show stressed that people had to work together as a team to fight evil, and when situations grew worse, they didn't give up, and they found a way to come through. And on the few occasions when it could be said that they lost, that lost honorably and were happy with what good came out of it.

I really don't see fair judgment in many reviews here that bash it after re-watching it as an adult. An adult won't get the same thing out of it as a child will. I was 7 when the show debuted, and I loved it. Now, sure, I can see several flaws in the overall performance delivery, but it still conveys the message in ways that kids understand. It's the same with Power Rangers, Pokemon, and whatever the next thing will be. They have great, wonderful messages for kids, and that's all they're meant to be.

Granted, Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger's story with 5 normal teenagers from an average city with boosted fighting power is a bit more believable than the newer Power Ranger shows where they fly through space on hoverboards and land on other planets, but hey, at least the new shows are trying to keep things fresh.

The 1990s was a great decade for TV and many children who grew up in the 90s can say we had the best TV shows live action or animation it was all impressive in their own right

However there is one show that in 1993 made it debut and the kids ate it up like it was the biggest thing ever and that show would be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

I remember when I was Seven when I turn into the first episode "Day Of The Dumpster" I quickly became a fan of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The series begin when Zordon and his assistant Alpha 5 recruited five normal teenagers to assist him in his battles with Rita Repulsa (Voiced by Barbara Goodson)

These five teenagers would become known as The Power Rangers

The first team were Jason The Red Ranger (Austin St.John), Kimberly The Pink Ranger (Amy Jo Johnson),Billy The Blue Ranger (David Yost),Zack The Black Ranger (Walter Jones) ) and Trini The Yellow Ranger (Thuy Trang)

After "Green With Evil" Mini Series and their battle with Tommy The Green Ranger (Jason David Frank) he reforms and becomes part of the team. In season 2 after losing his powers as the Green Ranger he would later become the White Ranger

Later in season 2 Jason, Trini and Zack would be replace by Aisha (Karan Ashley) Adam (Johnny Yong Bosch) Rocky (Steve Cardenas) as the Yellow, Black and Red Rangers respective.

Throughout the first season the Rangers would battle Rita Goldar and her monsters whenever they would turn into Giants The Rangers would call for their Zords that could combine to form the Megazord.

Then later in season 2 as replace by Lord Zedd (Voiced by Robert Axelrod)

When the teens are not dealing with monsters they are dealing with the bullies Bulk (Paul Schrier) and Skull (Jason Narvy).

The series best feature is the fight scenes when the Rangers took on the monsters then they form the Megazord and you know it would be a power fight and as a Kid I was looking forward to the battle with Megazord.

The series mix action, comedy, drama that make it a hit with kids and it got into your emotions there were times that I got emotional at the show that I still remember how hard it hit me.

It's just amazing to me how far Mighty Morphin Power Rangers rise to the top of the super hero arena in a time when Super heroes were very much the top dogs in the children department.

The series just made itself a legend

How can u NOT like power rangers? For a 6 year old it was the coolest thing in the world. Good dialogue? Plot lines? Cheesy one liners? Sure they're there, but honestly, do u think a child would REALLY take those into account when thinking whether a show is good or bad? The problem with all u people is that u look at it with an adults point of view. Ask ANY child's opinion, and they would claim that MMPR is one of the best things since sliced bread.

I'm 19 now, and i still love watching it cos of the fond memories it brings back. I'm sure many of those around my age bracket still do too. Hell, its hilariously poor, but there is always that little part of me that turns back into a 6 year old kid, and cheers the Power Rangers on.

A very fun concept: A team of teenagers with attitude are recruited to save Angel Grove from evil. There are fisticuffs back and forth with those who claim to work for justice. All the characters struggle against a system that has perpetuated falsehoods. Against this backdrop, our heroes must fight. The acting is effective, save for a couple of scenes. The metaphors in this show are so abundant, it takes three or four viewings to catch them all. I was deeply impressed, but from an artistic standpoint, there were some plot elements and character developments I didn't think were totally needed. This was done superbly without overdoing it.

'Its Morphing Time!' Whatever...

Very rarely do I give less rave reviews on a show or film I dislike on IMDb, but Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is just so painstakingly dreadful, it's terrible.

I wouldn't have minded if this had been an animated series- would've been better that way I guess, but as a live-action show, it typifies the terms 'cheesy' and 'campy'. Of which Power Rangers is. Five multi- coloured, spandex wearing teens battle evil by using their martial arts skills. The costumes are horrid- they look like something that is reminiscent of what track and field athletes and female gymnasts would wear. The acting is woeful, and the fight choreography is so shockingly bad and so lame to watch, it makes Jean- Claude Van Damme, look as equally as good as Bruce Lee, which is an understatement in itself. In fact, they look as if they are jumping and dancing about; like it was some version of the 'Nutcracker', or they were doing ballet, rather than fighting. Besides, there are some cartoons that heavily feature martial arts and yet it is done in a fun-yet not so cheesy way that makes it look silly.

Kids show or not, this is just so lame and on the verge of absurdity. And even though this version is set in America, you could be forgiven into thinking that as you watch some of the fight sequences that they were not filmed in the US, but rather in Japan; thus the somewhat 'fake' fighting and footage was borrowed from the Japanese version-only to be juxtaposed onto the US version.

If you like this type of thing, then stick with Sentai- the Japanese equivalent.

An old classic almost lost.

Being a child of... I forget, This show blew me away with what seemed great action and fx. Also who could forget dear old Bulk and Skull. Being older it still is fun to look back on and see how different it looks. It may look silly and cheap in the eyes of adults but to a child it just felt great. There wasn't much of a long plot going on which made it good as if you missed an episode it didn't matter, but saying that the zord changes were good and it made the show more interesting. When will people learn that a young child doesn't care much for plots, that has to wait for when they are a little older. Saddly when they made the zeo series, it would just never be the same. The new series tried too hard. Even as a child I never liked them. Maybe it was the new suits, I mean who designed them? And power rangers in space? It may have appealed to others but I think they should have stayed where they were. Simple enemies that would use the same techniques over and over. Make a monster that starts human size and then grow. And you knew that when they grow the show would almost be over. Oh and I must be dumb to forget the theme tune. I've check and they never made a slightly good theme tune again until this so call wild force series. This show was indeed a classic and I demand they stop making new ones and show the original again for the new generation.

Don't downplay a movie for kids

Everyone keeps making fun of this movie and the funny thing is they are probably all adults or older teens. This movie and the TV show were aimed at little kids in the 4-8 age group. When my son was 4 and 5 he just loved this show. It wasn't hugely violent, the good guys always won and it held his attention. All tastes change and his of course has now that he is almost 16. Still, this show was good for the little ones who didn't like cartoons, but still liked cartoon action. I used to watch it with him and still occasionally watch if there isn't anything else on. Since there are so many other movie and TV shows worth ragging on, maybe it's time to let this one take its place as one of the longest running kids shows and pick on something really lame, like all the "reality" shows taking over TV. Thank you.....

Absolute Rubbish

Worst show I've ever seen. The story is about a group of teenagers who, for some inexplicable reason, have super powers, and when they use some special device, they morph into strange, poorly designed suits. The acting when they're not in the retarded-looking suits is decent. Definitely not good, but not the worst acting I've ever seen. However, when wearing their suits, the actors' acting goes from bad to worse; much, much worse. The hyper-animated idiots have a myriad of unnecessary motions they do. Even when they talk they look like they're having seizures. The villains are stupider than the Rangers. Every episode, some weak, idiotic villain comes up with some plan to destroy the Rangers. He/she then sends a force of hyper-animated aliens to attack the Rangers. The Rangers then initialize their 10-hour transforming animation, then they annihilate the aliens. Then, the poorly designed villain, which can either be an armored villain that actually looks and acts evil, to a humanoid ladybug-like creature with trumpets attached to its back that shows obvious signs of mental retardation. The Power Rangers fight the villain off, then the villain turns into Godzilla, whether it be by a rain cloud or a nuclear missile (yes, they fire nukes at the creatures and the creatures turn into giants). The Power Rangers spend 5 minutes acting hyper-animated and summon their Zords which are obviously toys that the producers of the show used special effects on to make them look real. The Power Rangers win, the villain gets mad, they all teach a "valuable" lesson, and the show ends. That's it. Twenty-five minutes of brain-washing, fake kung fu fighting.

when i was a little kid, the only that i loved was this, its the best show ever, yeah sure it may look a bit stupid now, but this is what made me believe in myself and that friends stick together! my favourite Character was Billy the blue ranger because he was cool the way he knew everything about well everything. i had such a huge crush on Kimberley the pink Ranger because come on Amy Jo Johnston is amazingly beautiful and i still have a crush on her now. This show also taught kids that violence isn't a good thing and the power rangers always stopped it, even tho it was obvious who they were because they all worked around in the same colour as their costumes, Bulk and Skull, they are legends hands down! they were always trying to a) be the rangers and win over there fans b) trying to find out who they were. i went a bit off it when they replaced Kimberly with a bloned girl, she didn't have the same attitude as Amy Jo and thats why i switched off, but this show will always be the best kids show ever, i guarantee it, forget the other power ranger series, this is the best one, also it was a shame to hear about the girl who played Trini, she was cool too. GO GO Powers Rangers, the mighty morphin Power rangers!!

Flawed but fun

Power Rangers follows the adventures of five (later six) teenagers granted super powers by a disembodied head called Zordon. While the plots are VERY formulaic, there are some good qualities in this show that are often overlooked.

The show does feature a lot of martial arts/ fantasy action, there are usually at least two fight scenes per show. This, of course, made the usual crowd of 'concerned mothers' try to ban the show. If anything, their bleating is probably a big factor in Power Ranger's early success. Personally, I enjoyed watching the Rangers fight, it was far more realistic then pro-wrestling.

The acting quality of the principle cast is patchy at best (although Amy Jo Johnson would go on to show a much richer talent) and the cast are clearly not taking it seriously. That said, there is chemistry between them all, and they are having fun. Even now, having recently re-watched a few episodes, I had fun too.

I really do not have any clue as to why some people find the power rangers television show even remotely interesting at all. The costumes are completely ridiculous and the people playing in them also look completely foolish at the same time. There is absolutely anything remotely interesting about the power rangers. This is just a higher priced television commercial designed to sell extremely cheesy plastic garbage to the unsuspecting children around the world. From the notes, I can see that it's been banned in the country of New Zealand and from what I have seen, I can agree with their decision. Avoid this show at all costs, it's terrible and ridiculous and pointless.

Everyon Liked It

Everyone enjoyed the Power Rangers first seasons. The incredibly cheesy lines, ridiculous plots, and giant monster fight scenes made it all the more watchable. It was definitely watched by more people than you think when it first came out. Everyone tries to hide the fact that they watched it every time a new episode came on. The show was over the top and it rocked. The same thing was going to happen every episode, but it didn't matter. You knew there would be some small fights, Rita would get mad, make her monster huge.. which eventually lead to Morphin Time! Each villain had its own unique ability and look. They all made you laugh. The show lost its luster as it went on, but I guarantee you have to say the first seasons of Power Rangers were a total classic!

A nostalgic classic

I have to say, I grew up watching this series, and looking back all these years later, it might be the cheesiest show I watched growing up. That aside, though, the nostalgia makes it enjoyable. The plots are nil, the special effects are bad, and the costumes are ridiculous. Somehow, though, it has a charm that appeals to kids. Both my boys love the Power Rangers, even though there's so many shows out there that are better in technical ways. The original Power Rangers series has a classic good vs. bad feel to it, and the characters are very appealing. They make you want to root for them. Now that I'm all grown up, I can enjoy the guilty pleasure of saying yes when my kids want to watch it.

guilty pleasure

i have a really big guilty pleasure, and that is that i watch the power rangers, i only watch the first seasons w Jason, Kimberly billy trini zack and tommy and then some w rocky aisha and adam, thats my guilty pleasure of all time i think. i really wish that i could go back in the day and watch them all over again, and be in awe like i was when i was little, and trying 2 be like one of the rangers, i always wanted 2 be like Jason just bc he was the first leader and i thought that he was the best. i think the best episodes were where tommy came into the picture and became the green ranger and gave the rangers a run for their money and when they all got defeated, i thought that it was the end of the rangers, but when in doubt, alpha 5 is always there when the day needs 2 be saved. when i looking on this site i decided to look up the power rangers and see what they were doing now days, i was sad 2 hear that thuy trang, (trini the yellow ranger) died back in 01, i also remember trying 2 collect all the zords and rangers i think i almost had everyone of them and then i started getting older and not wanting 2 play w toys anymore, i don't know what i did w all my toys, but in a weird way i still wish i had them, so that i could reflect on the good ole days.

Being at the age of 3 when Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first came out, I STILL remember watching the series even at that age. Trying to find it now, and seeing the first episode over you-tube gave me a sense of nostalgia, like I was reliving my early childhood. Believe me, being a 3 year old girl made me a little embarrassed to be watching Power Rangers, since at a young age it was "supposedly" meant for boys to watch only. Even as a kid I wished they had better graphics. But it wasn't until just recently I realized it was because they took clips from the original Japanese versions, in which Power Rangers came from. At least there was a reason why a 3-6 year old could tell that the graphics were corny. Not like I'm dissing the show or nothing. I agree with everyone else that the original was better than the others. Some series were OK, but the original was the best. I remember the characters vividly, and one particular instance - correct me for this memory is quite old - but I remember watching an episode where the White Ranger turned evil or something.

Okay, I seriously CAN'T think of anything worse than the PR series. There are many bad things in life...traitors, liars, etc. But seriously, Power Rangers has GOT to be at the bottom of this list. Can you think of anything more stupid than five-six teenagers (who don't even act like a normal teen) dancing around in identical suits WITH DIFFERENT COLORS SO THAT YOU CAN TELL THEM APART? Fans, have you ever come across a real person who gets flung against a mental wall and gets up almost immediately and continues to fight without getting injured? Power Rangers are for five-year old boys, and believe me, I never liked this show even when I was five.

I guess you can say Dino Thunder is an exception. The teens actually ACT like teens, and Tommy Oliver actually acts like a mentor, or no, a teacher. It's got teen-humor, though the fighting is lame, I don't hate Dino Thunder.

Many people say Power Rangers are crap, but I wouldn't. It would be an insult to crap. So face it, five year old boys, Power Rangers is rubbish.

True Childhood Heroes and Role Models

What can I say, I absolutely LOVED this show. Six superheroes that you felt you could really relate to and look up to. I so wanted to be one for so long after watching it and had a huge crush on the GORGEOUS Pink Ranger. The show just rocked (you could say I was mad fer it) and I could not start my Saturdays (or school days for that matter) without it. I recently found old episodes on You Tube and was transfixed. Who cares about plot etc It was just pure action, fantasy and innocent fun and was a big part of my teenage years. Yes, maybe at 15 years old I should have known better but I was still a big kid. Thanks to them I was able to stay away from drugs and cigarettes. Clichéd I know but so very true. OK, so I might not have realised my ambition to be a Power Ranger (except in my wild imagination) but I do have a great career, a healthy lifestyle and am loving life in Manchester. If it is ever released out on DVD I will shamelessly go out and buy the box set in Virgin Megastore even if it means revealing to everyone in the shop my secret obsession. Have to admit though what did leave me more "traumatised" was realising that as a lifelong Celtic fan I found myself watching a show that had Rangers in it and finding that my obsession with these Rangers led me to switching my allegiance to the blue half of Glasgow he he :D Some people said the colours were racist because the cool Black Ranger was black and the cute Yellow Ranger was Oriental. What a load of rubbish. If that really was so, then Tommy the Green Ranger might have had an Irish accent and there would have been an Orange Ranger from Belfast. Oh, and the Blue Ranger would have hailed from Glasgow where he would have supported...well Rangers of course which leaves me wondering how popular the Green Ranger was with kids in Strathclyde when everyone knows that the last colour a Ranger could ever be is Green and White. Tommy, it's a known fact amongst Tims and Bhoys that you can't be a Ranger and wear the Green and White of Celtic but I guess because you were such a hero to me that's why I know you can get away with it :)

Overall, it's not as bad

Power Rangers is an American re-telling or adaption of Zyuranger. A Japanese show that aired in Japan. Which explains why they use mostly archive footage for this show. For the most part, the show is really fun. Although their dinosaur costumes do not make much sense, (On Zyuranger they had different dinosaurs because they were from different Dino tribes).

As well as the yellow ranger in Zyuranger was male, so it's weird to see Trini morph into a man.

My favorite ranger is Jason, and I'm gonna say it. I'm not a Tommy fan. I think he's overrated. While I like Lord Zedd and Jason. I think the quality of the show dropped after the original three Rangers departure. They focused on Tommy and Kimberly's romance (which is gross), although I like Aisha, I miss seeing Thuy Trang's beautiful smile, god rest her soul. Also I don't care for Rocky Balboa, sorry Rocky DeSantos or Adam. I like Zack and Jason better.

Making Tommy the star was a mistake to me, because Jason is already a better ranger than Tommy could ever be. But I'm getting off topic. The first season is pretty good, season 2, meh, third season ok.

If you ignore Zyuranger and enjoy this live-action anime, you'll have a blast. Although here's a tip. If you watched all the episodes since there is a lot, you don't have to watch all of them. I pick out my favorites and buy them. But this show is still fun. I can see why people would enjoy it. Okay Power Rangers you got me.

Let's be honest, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was terrible!

Power Rangers is a staple of BAD 1990s television.

Its true genesis was as an Americanized version of a long running Japanese kids show called Super Sentai which premiered back in 1975.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (with its bad 1990s haircuts, fashion, and earrings) merged original Japanese footage from two Super Sentai shows called Zyuranger and Dairanger with absolutely horrid American footage that was a bad Saved By The Bell knock off which eventually joined Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the latest craze on Fox Kids.

The third season, which ripped off Kakuranger, had the power rangers turned into children and replaced by "ninja" aliens. (Are you kidding me?!)

All in all, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with their 1990s earrings, clothing and one liners, was a childish fad that hasn't aged well at all.

Watch Super Sentai (the real deal) instead, its 1,000,000 times better!

I unabashedly love this show, even 26 years after I watched it at the age of 5. I love the bad voiceovers and the absurd monsters. David Yost and Thuy Trang were definitely my favorite cast members from any of these seasons. Rewatching episodes now is like looking into a glorious time capsule from the 1990s - the fashion, the music, et cetera. I'm debating about purchasing the box sets of Seasons 1-7.

I love Power Rangers. I love the style and story of it. That being said the show is cheesy and always has been, it's part of it's charm. It's not for everyone but it's defiantly fun for the right people. Give it a try and you may find you really like it.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is definitely one of the most pointless and ridiculous television shows ever made, in fact, many people think it's the worst television show of all time.

Just look at all of the awful costumes, multi colored spandex that looks ridiculous, some of the worst music for any show ever shown on television. The worst acting of all time. Haircuts from a heavy metal band, and of course, the worst toyline ever produced.

The rangers themselves look like the same clowns with these ridiculous heads that flip back and forth. The megazord himself also looks like a shogun warrior from the 70's! I realize that this show is thirty years old, but come on, it's definitely the worst show and toyline ever produced!
