Enjoyable but a bit too long

"De Partizanen/The partisans" is the story of a small dutch resistance group who capture fifty German soldiers.

De Partizanen was pretty good and interesting story. The flashbacks from the -90s to the 40s worked well and in all the acting was fine, my favorite character was the German NCO Beck, played by Mathias Herrmann.

If you are interested in the resistance movement of the occupied countries or in WW2 in general this movie should be interesting.

A Dutch true story, during hard circumstances in WW2.

I live close to the hiding place in the woods, where the group was trying to hide from the German occupiers. I was at age of 13 when the mini-serie was broadcasted. A great and true story during hard circumstances in WW2. An absolutely must-see for those who are interested in actions of organised resistance in the south of The Netherlands.

The one drama-serie everyone interested in WW2 should see!

Living near the place where the whole story about the resistence group actually took place, I was very moved the first time I saw it, back in 1996. Dutch television broadcasted again last year and for the second time also, it was such a great story! I almost can't believe anyone abroad can get their hands on it, but if you can, you definitely should see it; it gives you a very good image of what WW2 in my country was like, and how ordinary people tried to survive and somehow help the ones even more in trouble...a wonderful drama-serie!
