Saviors of Uldum sees The League of Explorers return to Hearthstone.
Blizzard has revealed that the next Hearthstone expansion will be called Saviors of Uldum.
As noted around the time of the reveal of the last Hearthstone expansion (Rise of Shadows), Saviors of Uldum will serve as the second part of a three-part story told via the Hearthstone expansions set to release in 2019. Specifically, this expansion will focus on the League of E.V.I.L. as they head to the deserts of Uldum in order to find a way to use ancient plagues. Standing in their way are The League of Explorers, who we previously saw in the Hearthstone expansion of the same name.
This expansion will introduce 135 new cards to the game, as well as two new mechanics. The first, called Reborn, allows a minion to return to life with one health after they are destroyed for the first time.

We've been waiting a long time for The Orville Season 2 Episode 1 and it was definitely a satisfying return. Goofy, busy, and with a juvenile bent, but ultimately enjoyable.
I'll deal with the one major issue first: the characterization and treatment of Commander Kelly Grayson.
She's second in command of the ship, arguably a better officer than Mercer in many ways, and is making every effort to keep their working relationship Work despite her ex-husband repeatedly declaring his love for her.
Related: Enjoy Unlimited access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video. Watch Anywhere. Cancel Anytime!
So why does she get painted as the emotional, unreasonable one? It was totally maddening to watching Cassius (the new guy) and Ed (the ex) discussing how to "handle" her.
Here's my theory. A woman can't really love a man unless he's part-dope. Be a little stupid every day and really...

This article marks Part 18 of the Gold Derby series analyzing 84 years of Best Original Song at the Oscars. Join us as we look back at the timeless tunes recognized in this category, the results of each race and the overall rankings of the winners.
The 1985 Oscar nominees in Best Original Song were:
“The Power of Love” from “Back to the Future”
“Surprise, Surprise” from “A Chorus Line”
“Miss Celie’s Blues (Sister)” from “The Color Purple”
“Say You, Say Me” from “White Nights”
“Separate Lives” from “White Nights”
Won: “Say You, Say Me” from “White Nights”
Should’ve won: “Separate Lives” from “White Nights”
If 1984 is a merely frustrating year of Best Original Song at the Oscars – given the lack of “Purple Rain” love and Stevie Wonder having defeated four marvelous songs with a decidedly inferior track – 1985 is a flat-out aggravating affair, a year featuring not one or two but five ho-hom pieces,...

“Aquaman” is set to prolong its reign over the China box office with an extra month in theaters. It has been granted an extension to its release and will be allowed to play through to Feb. 6, 2019, the second day of the Chinese New Year holiday.
Foreign revenue sharing films in China are typically given a 30-day release window by the industry regulators. Only some receive an extra 30-day extension and usually only when the film is performing strongly. Earlier this month, Sony’s “Venom” was also given such a green light. It had smashed records to boast the second-largest opening weekend for a superhero film ever in China.
The James Wan-directed “Aquaman” opened in China on December 7, two weeks before it hit U.S. theaters. As of Wednesday, it has raked in a whopping $246 million in the country — more than 40% of its global total to date. Although it was...

Madrid — In an emblematic move for Spain’s film industry, José Alba’s Pecado Films, producer of “Gernika” and San Sebastian breakout “Journey to A Mother’s Room,” is moving into TV production with a series type in ever-larger demand in Spain: Social issue half-hour comedies.
With “Arde Madrid,” a comedy about Ava Gardner’s domestic entourage during the actress’ sojourn in Madrid, proclaimed by Movistar + as its most binged series ever, and “Spanish Shame” one of its breakout hits last season, Spain’s Ott platforms are on the hunt for edgy comedies, as are historic broadcasters facing up to their competition.
Created by Rubén Ávila, David Rodríguez Losada and Alba. “The P.A.” was unveiled last week at the FilmMarket Hub’s Madrid TV Pitchbox where the creators presented a light-hearted promo.

As we move into 2019, one of most essential films of the year will be Bi Gan’s transportive, dreamlike odyssey Long Day’s into Night. Set for an April release via Kino Lorber, the 3D film—which concludes with an astounding hour-long single take through multiple towns and above—follows a detective’s journey to track down a mysterious woman. Before it lands in the U.S. however, the director’s Kaili Blues follow-up comes to France in January and now the first international trailer has arrived.
Giovanni Marchini Camia said in his review from Cannes, “Journey‘s opening half, steeped in a ravishing neo-noir aesthetic, owes a big debt to Wong Kar-wai, especially In the Mood For Love, aiming for a similarly heady atmosphere of romance, nostalgia, and regret.”
See the trailer below for the film starring Tang Wei, Huang Jue, and Sylvia Chang.

On Thursday (Dec. 13), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the seven acts to be inducted in the spring: Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, The Cure and the Zombies. These lucky seven acts were culled from a nominations list of 15. To decide the inductees, ballots were sent to more than 1,000 music industry insiders around the world. Fans also had a chance to help pick the inductees this year.
Three of the inductees were first-time nominees despite being eligible for years: Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks and Roxy Music Nicks made history as the first woman to be in the hall of fame twice; she was inducted as part of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
Radiohead made the cut on their second try while another two-time nominee, Rage Against the Machine, was passed over.
Third time proved to be the charm for Janet Jackson but not Rufus and Chaka Khan.

Platformers seem to be a popular vessel for introspective, meandering journeys of self-discovery, hope, and beauty. Just look at Limbo, Inside, Journey, and this year’s fantastic Wandersong. Unlike the much-maligned “walking simulator,” these games present their worlds from a broader perspective, and perhaps because of this they feel grander in scope than something like Edith Finch, despite their similarly personal themes. Gris takes this ability to broaden its range of landscapes and vignettes to an even higher level, panning the camera out great distances to reveal one of the most beautiful worlds a game has ever taken me to.
Like many games of its ilk, Gris has no dialogue. Its storytelling is done through nuanced interactions between the main character, a girl who must heal emotional wounds throughout her journey, and the world itself. The influences are clear — namely Journey — and there’s even a direct homage to one...

There are few platformers that look quite as beautiful as Gris. Here is our review...

Publisher: Devolver Digital
Genre: Platformer
Over the past several years, games like Journey, Abzu, Flower, and Bound have challenged the philosophy of “form follows function” by focusing less on traditional gameplay mechanics and more on a decidedly abstract approach to storytelling, using evocative, stylized visuals and atmospheric sound design to tell wordless, epic tales about the human condition. Gris, a new game by the Spain-based Nomada Studio, is a 2D platformer designed very much in the same spirit of the aforementioned titles, telling the story of a mourning young woman rebuilding a ruined, colorless world piece by piece, wrestling with fantastical manifestations of her insecurities as she strives for truth and inner peace.
The wow-factor of the game’s presentation is apparent from the opening moments,...

It’s about three hours before Def Leppard will take the stage at the Manchester Arena, and frontman Joe Elliott is backstage prepping for a fan meet-and-greet and trying to wrap his head around the fact that his band has just been inducted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after appearing on the ballot for the very first time. They’re nearing the end of a long year of touring — including a massively successful American run with Journey — but Elliott doesn’t sound the least bit exhausted as he...

Ex-Journey singer Steve Perry has filed a lawsuit against his former associate Phil Brown to prevent the release of music they recorded together in 1991. According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Perry claims that the songs were mere demos they recorded on an 8-track tape recorder in Brown’s garage and were never meant for to be heard by the public.
“He did not perform them as he would if the recordings were intended for public release,” the complaint says. “[Brown is] threatening to release certain old vocal performances of Perry...

Against NFL’s Cowboy-Eagles play and AMC’s The Walking Dead, former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Becoming Michelle special handed ABC its most watched Sunday this season with a five-month total-viewer high in the 9 Pm hour.
Becoming Michelle – A First Lady’s Journey, a 20/20 special, performed in line with timeslot regular Shark Tank in the demo.
ABC yanked The Alec Baldwin Show from its 10 Pm hour; last night Country Music’s Biggest Stars followed Michelle Obama’s interview, more than doubling Baldwin’s previous Sunday overall audience and improving the demo by 1/10th.
Michelle Obama’s sit-down built on its lead-in, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors which settled for its lowest yet numbers. ABC kicked off the night with America’s Funniest Home Videos.
CBS’s NFL overrun created usual big gains early in the night, though results may be inflated due to an 8-minute-past-half-hour football overrun.

During its introduction at last year’s Xbox E3 press conference, developers Aurora44 explained that “Ashen,” their new action RPG, would feature a novel form of multiplayer: players would be completely anonymous in the realms of others, with no voice communication and no way to learn their identity. And once a partner died, they would vanish forever from the host’s world. It’s not a completely unique hook, exactly — it’s very similar to the co-op feature in 2012’s Journey — but it was just different enough to generate some conversation about “Ashen.”
At this year’s E3, however, “Ashen’s” most interesting feature isn’t actually present, which makes it hard to know just how much heavy lifting that multiplayer can do to set the game apart from a sea of games who owe a debt to From Software’s “Soulsborne” genre — consisting of “Demon’s Souls”, the “Dark Souls” games,...
