At different points during Seven Deadly Sins: Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor name-checks David Lee Roth and Hunter S. Thompson as two of his biggest creative inspirations. This isn’t exactly revelatory, given Taylor’s heavy reliance on stream-of-consciousness surfer-Zen verboseness throughout his debut book’s interminable 200-plus pages (e.g., characterizing humans as “galactic soap scum in the big bathtub in the sky”). In his most brilliantly incoherent moments, Taylor seems as if he’s channeling the angsty teen inside Patrick Swayze’s portrayal of Bodhi in Point ...

This week’s Law & Order: UK is an adaptation of one of my favorite Law & Order episodes, “Born Bad.” As the original title suggests, it poses the question of if we’re genetically predisposed to be good or evil. The subject of genetic predisposition to anything is likely to be argued for years to come, which makes seeing this plot 17 years later no less intriguing.
When the dead body of Danny Jackson is found by a local reverend, there’s no shortage of suspects – whether it’s his drug-addicted mother, her abusive ex-boyfriend, or local gangs. However, the investigation leads Ronnie and Matt to an even more disturbing source: one of the boy’s young friends, Jonathan Blake. When the Crown Prosecutor charges the thirteen-year-old with murder, the defense attorney (an old girlfriend of Steel’s played by Dervla Kirwan, whom Spooks fans may know as the better half of...

Netflix, which started as a simple "DVD delivery to your home" service and has grown to delivering movies straight to computer and Xbox is now about to tackle the world of web content. And they are doing it with a bang. Literally. To Corey Feldman's head. Feldman announced yesterday on his blog that not only will he be reprising his role as Edgar Frog in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst...he's also going to be starring in Netflix's first ever web series, Splatter. Not only that, he's teaming up with legendary directors Joe Dante and Roger Corman to do it. Says Feldman: "This will mark the 3rd project I have done with Joe (Dante), the first since 1989’s The Burbs. It came as a shock to me when I received a call from Roger Corman’s (Little shop of Horrors, Rock n Roll High School, Pirannah and hundreds...

Death became Harper's Island Saturday when the limited series wrapped up with two big (but maybe not-so-surprising) reveals: The second killer and John Wakefield's child both turned out to be the groom, Henry (Christopher Gorham). If the murderous rampage wasn't enough, Henry also shared that he did it all for the love of his life: his half-sister Abby (Elaine Cassidy). Creepy? Yes, but Gorham, who didn't find out he was the killer until after filming seven episodes, "loved it," he tells TVGuide.com. "I immediately bought a scary-looking knife that I kept in my pocket that no one knew I had. I was armed from the next day." See what else the actor and Cassidy had to say about "broken" Henry, whether or not he committed incest and more.

There’s a song that pops into my head from Juliette Lewis when I see a girl acting all tough and sex on a comic book cover. It’s quite soothing, hearing a woman’s sultry voice say it, so you can imagine the rush of blood while walking down the aisles of comic books sporting “bad girls” on the cover. It’s like getting a massage without being touched. The delicate wane of words singing “Born Bad” in the back of my mind when choosing the next gold star comic is well... not so bad. And then I watch Strange Days again, and go crazy for Lewis like I did when I was a teenager watching her roller skate in nothing but her skinny bikini bottom. Strange, and yet, exciting days I say.
