Sex & Nudity

  • Terpsichore (one of the Muses) wears a midriff baring toga
  • At one point in the movie, there's a statue of a topless woman (probably Venus de Milo) with nipples showing. (It is shown very briefly though and is easy to miss)
  • A cloaked man flashes three characters but it is quickly revealed that he is a sundial salesman.
  • Phil peeps at nymphs and tried to chase them. He's unsuccessful and a nymph who turns into a tree slaps him.
  • Meg tries to subdue Hercules to tell her his biggest weakness. It turns out that she IS his weakness.
  • In the beginning of the film, a statue with full frontal male nudity is briefly seen, if you look away you might see it.
  • Hades suggests to Megara that he hasn't 'been throwing the right curves' at Hercules, gesturing the shape of her body as he says it.
  • Megara's cleavage's are shown
  • Some very mild kissing scenes.
  • Lengthy sequence of a Greek Goddess seducing a Greek God (both depicted in human form). At the end the male form touches the female's shoulder strap, with an implied intent of removing it.

Violence & Gore

  • In one scene, Hercules throws a torch in the Cyclops' eye, although his eye looks fine in the next shot.
  • A part with monster gore is present.
  • Some comical destruction of a marketplace at the beginning of the movie with no injuries. Some mayhem and more dramatic destruction as the movie progresses
  • During the battle with the Hydra, Hercules cuts off four of its heads; each time a spray of green slime is seen (at one point, we see a lingering shot of the severed neck). Hercules actually cuts off the tongue of one of the heads towards the end, but it's extremely quick and very easy to miss. The beast is eventually crushed under a rock slide.
  • The three Fates share one eyeball, and pop it out frequently to give it to each other. The Titans wreak havoc with fire, ice, tornadoes, and huge rocks.

Profanity

  • "Fraud" is used once.
  • None, but there's a not-so-subtle "oh my gods" pun that is uttered at one point.
  • Nothing else noteworthy.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several of the gods are briefly seen drinking at the beginning of the movie and celebrate with what appears to be wine at the end. Hades smokes a cigar (but can't be affected by it because he's immortal).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Seeing the Hydra's severed neck may be frightening.
  • Hades screams in a loud, angry, insane way. This can be frightening.
  • Even though this is a G-rated movie, it's fairly intense and scary at times. Think twice before letting your little kids watch it.
  • Hades' underworld may be somewhat scary looking for younger kids. Menacing creatures and skeletons are shown, as well as the River Styx, which is full of ghosts.

Spoilers

  • Pain and Panic disguise themselves as a sexy winged horse to seduce Pegasus into a shed to capture him. She has a predominant butt

Violence & Gore

  • During the fight with the cyclops Hercules gets slammed into a pillar, blood is seen dripping out of his lip briefly (you'll have to look really close and slow it down to see it), he's covered in bruises.
  • Hercules punches Hades' face in after he saves Meg from the underworld (comically), but then he punches Hades into the River Styx where he seems like he's drowning by all the souls
  • Even though this is a G-rated movie, it's kind of violent, and has some scary moments. Think twice before letting your little kids see it.
  • Lots of action and comical/slapstick injury throughout the film. Meg is crushed by a pillar, resulting in her death; Hercules rescues her from the underworld.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • After the fates cut Meg's lifeline thread, Meg is seen half dead and half pale. This image is very disturbing and frightening.
