I remember seeing this short many years ago, when I was still a kid.
Back then, I didn't get the plot very well, but I liked its stylish visuals, with characters resembling the paintings of Marc Chagall and Picasso's cubist period.
Watching it again as an adult allowed me to appreciate the complexities of the story, although I must say that I have no idea why is this labelled as a "comedy", since there was nothing humorous about it: If anything, the short feels like a psychological drama, exploring the mind of a a narcissist man who only enjoys the company of a woman because her physical similarity to him; after said man is left disfigured in a car accident, he eventually decides to disfigure his couple as a way to feed his own ego.
The lighthearted tune that keeps playing in the background (Even in the most tense moments) seems to be ironic, so there is no way in which this short is intended to be seen as something comedic in any way.
Still, it is a very fascinating watch: Very short and direct to the point, but also manages to be haunting in a rather subtle manner.
