With Raoul André,one plumbs the depths of stupidity.

Don't let the title , taken by force from a famous play by Molière ("le bourgeois gentitlhomme" 1670) ,fool you .The hero(Lefèvre) is a fragrance tycoon ;but he is dominated by his manager, a bossy woman (hardly recognizable Annie Cordy)and he longs fo something else ; he wants to live the exciting life of a gangster ;Lefèvre and his stupefied looks make him the perfect sucker for real bandits ; they teach him the tricks of the trade (didn't Monsieur Jourdain have professors too?) and organize a faux stickup ,in oder to blackmail him later on.

The movie is a mess , and represents the French "nanar "(=third-rate film) in all its horror.
