Don't be fooled by the storyline: it is by no means a thriller !It's theatre de boulevard , by talented André Roussin who issued a warning before the cast and credits :he was in awe of his principal ,François Périer ,who was able to play a dozen of characters at once :it has to be seen to be believed,but it's true !
Consequently the content takes a back seat to the form :the umpteenth story of a cuckold the average viewer has seen a hundred times or more. But the construction of the movie,using theatre and reality , real-life characters and stage ones,finally mixing both in its last third , is rather smart .
