Blackout Gags
This cartoon is a series of blackout gags, as we set sail in New York harbor, visit a series of ports of call in totally random order, and return to New York. It's narrated by Knox Manning, or a very good imitator.
The gags are a varied bunch. SOme are excellent, like the aural gag that's repeated throughout the cartoon, some seem to be offensive for 1939 (the one about viewing the captain's bridge), and some seem to have been marginally acceptable in the 1930s, but have grown clearly offensive since -- no need to go into details, it's the part of the cruise in which we visit Africa. It's undoubtedly the last which has rendered this movie generally unavailable.
