Not a Whiz Cartoon
boblipton21 May 2017
Quiz shows had dropped out of the public consciousness by the time this cartoon was made. That fact shows how old and out of touch Paramount's cartoon division was.

That's the first problem with this cartoon. It suffers from most of the problems of theatrical cartoons by this time. The artwork is simple, the animation was not good and the jokes were rote; in fact, you could predict the course of the cartoon and its capper joke, the punchline of this cartoon from the beginning.

Paramount would not put up with this regime much longer. They would try to put a little life into the division by using new talent, and the stories would perk up a bit, but the visuals would remain as poor. The entire division would be shut down within a few years and a history that stretched back to the 1910s would be over.
