This is an interesting psychological thriller with fine performances. The production values and music also add to this story of a woman with a secret from a former life who is terrorized by a mysterious person from her past.

Does not have cinematic value, but tells a great story as it is

Warning: Spoilers
This movie tells the tale of a repressed childhood of neglect and sexual exploitation with great humility. It does not try to do more than unfold the events that took place to a real person (as claimed): A woman leading a seemingly normal life starts losing her grip on reality and contacting a the long lost personality of herself as a little girl by writing herself poems with threats, and is later stabbed by an imagined man who is the man who sexually assaulted her as a child. Through the police investigation she is confronted with the realization that she is the one mailing the threats to herself and harming herself. Later she acknowledges her past of sexual abuse through grinding psychological treatment and comes to peace with herself.
A PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER WITH GREAT DRAMATIC IMPACT

I was fortunate enough to view this without commercial interruptions. The plot goes from a chillingly mysterious stalker to a woman's nervous breakdown. Finally, she gets appropriate treatment in hospital and gets skillful psychotherapy. The latter 40 minutes is the depicting of effective psychotherapy, probably the best portrayal I have seen coming from Hollywood. It shows how patients resist remembering traumatic experiences. It also shows how a patient, persistent and empathic therapist can make all the difference in the world.
